I recently visited Casey's three times for lunch and came away with good experiences on each trip. I found parking was easiest in the rear parking lot. It was not crowded at all. I sat at the upstairs bar my first two times. The staff was friendly and there were only a few other people there. The inside was clean and it looked like the staff kept busy cleaning and organizing the place. On my last visit I sat in the downstairs area called the dugout. It had a similar bar to the upstairs with TV's showing sports highlights, but they had music playing. I really liked the old baseball gloves bordering the room. There were way more people coming into the dugout for lunch, so I suppose the upstairs is a quieter choice (for lunch anyway). They had some PA skills games and a PA lottery machine tucked away in a room next to the bar. I had three different servers and they were all super friendly. I loved that they recommended menu items instead of giving the generic "everything's good here", or the dreaded "idk I don't eat anything from here." Top recommendations were any of the burgers, most of the wraps, roast beef sandwich, reuben, crab cake and the turkey sandwiches. The homemade kettle chips were suggested over fries with a side of ranch dip. I had the bacon cheddar burger the first time. It was sizeable and good, but not great. The chips were delicious and although I hate ranch in any form, the girl was right, dipping the chips in it was a good idea. Second go around I had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap - crispy chicken, bleu cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato and red onion. I added fries instead of chips for $3 and regretted it. The fries were soggy, bleh and certainly not worth the extra charge. Stick with the chips! The wrap was ok, little loose, not as full as most places. The chicken was chopped up and had kick, bleu cheese was complimentary and not overpowering, red onion provided some extra zing. It was an ok to good meal. Third time I went with The Turkey Grill - carved turkey, crispy bacon, roasted red peppers and provolone cheese on grilled sourdough bread. The bread was somewhat toasted and saturated with butter and turkey gravy. The turkey itself was a little dry, the portion size of the sandwich was fine, but it lacked flavor. Chips and pickle spears were appreciated. Looking at the menu for a future visit, I'd probably try the ribs, a cheesesteak or wings. The upper floors have outside seating during the warmer months and that looks like an absolute win for a return trip. Overall, I wasn't blown away by any of the food. Similar/better options can be found not too far, but I can see the appeal of Casey's as a regular neighborhood bar. The various dining options plus full bar - tables, bar seating with TV's, upstairs, downstairs, outside makes it extremely versatile for any occasion. Thanks guys! read more

Went in for dinner on a Saturday night. Ordered chicken marsala and Reuben sandwich. Had two drinks they were okay. The Reuben had burnt homemade chips and wasn't very warm. We asked to replace the chips. By the time they brought it the sandwich was already finished. And then they charged us for the fries even though they burnt the homemade chips. My chicken marsala was warm but not hot. Not even so much as a roll. Overall I would say go to the one in Newtown square stay away from the one in Drexel Hill. They're expensive for what you get and I think the McDonald's would be better deal across the street. That's not saying much good on Casey's restaurant Drexel Hill. But if you're angry at someone good place to recommend they'll have a miserable dinner. read more

2 trips here while out of town. 1st was excellent very attentive bartender(dark haired woman) food was prepared well overall great that I returned instead of gambling with a new placed. 2nd trip sucked. Bartender(blonde woman) immediate vibe she only cared about her friends. Too busy talking over 4 minutes to even ask me what I wanted. A beer and a menu. Finished entire pint standing up to finally leave when finally asked if I wanted food, mind was already made up politely declined and left. 3 STARS split between 1 great and 1 horrible experience so I can't say always sucks and can't say it's always great read more

Okay, so I am a fan of Casey's in Ridley Park. I haven't been to any other location. I know there are a few and I also know this isn't the original, and that doesn't bother me. I also see that there are several people that have had issues with food or service here. But having come here many times, I have never experienced those issues both pre, during, or post pandemic. That may be because we usually only go during lunch time and don't usually go during dinner unless we're going as a family, but even on those occasions we have had nothing but the best. Again, we also tend to eat fairly early in the evening as a family so that could also play into our good experiences, but I will keep coming here time and again because the variety is good, and our service is great, and everyone in the house enjoys it. My most recent visit happened to be in early October and they still happened to have their autumn specials on the menu. These change weekly, I believe, but they generally follow a seasonal theme, along with some interesting additions thrown in each time just for variety. I had a very hard time making a decision because the specials listed had several choices that I wanted to try that I knew I likely wouldn't get a piece of, but ultimately I decided on the Oktoberfest burger. While technically a few weeks past Oktoberfest, this juicy patty on a pretzel bun shone brilliantly because of two very special additions. The chef, within his own skill and wisdom, added homemade pickled onions, as well as a handmade ground spicy mustard, all done in-house. Totally blown away! If I could have fit more food, I would have ordered a second burger and inhaled it as well. The chips are also made on site and are crisp and delicious far beyond how good they should actually be. Don't let the slew of older reviews on the bottom of the page highlighting problems here stop you. Again, we have never experienced one of these things, and yes, that's rare. Every place experiences issues now and then, but I can honestly say I have never experienced a single problem at Casey's. It's why we keep coming back and keep it as our back pocket spot when we want something to eat, don't know where else to go, or want to stay close. Give them a try and I am sure they will take the opportunity to show you that great food and experience. read more

Good food but they have repeatedly put bacon in our food after we specifically said not to. Along with the bacon we didn't want, we got a long black hair in our salad today when we ordered. I have had events there before and it was wonderful. tonight was my wedding rehearsal what a night for it to be horrible. my sister bites into a piece of plastic, my dad has a long ass blonde hair in his crab cake, they charged me for more heads that were sitting at the bar they didn't eat the buffet. had 1 server/bartender for 28 ppl. no linens or silverware laid out. no pitchers of soda. charged twice for sangria was told I would get it to take home and the server left the room before us. so never got it. horrible night! read more

I have been here a few times. First time writing. Food is always consistently tasty, their italian pork with broccoli rabe, rubens and cheesesteaks are always a winner. They have a full bar, and variety of beers. Lots of TV.s and DJ on weekends. Outdoor seating when the weather permits. On this past Wednesday night (1/30) we arrived about 10:15. Bitter cold out, lots of other places had closed earlier due to weather. Anyways .....as we were asking the bartender if we could still order food....she said kitchen is c l o s i n g ....but the cook was standing there...BOBBY saved the night..he jumped right in asking, what we might be looking for? He was more than happy to make us two cheesesteaks ..asking what we would like on it...provolone, long hots and fried onions, with french fries.... BOBBY gets 5 STARS for taking the time, making Casey's what it is ...a place to get good quality food...everytime you go.... I have only ordered from here via Uber eats and therefore cannot judge the customer service or atmosphere. (Although reading other reviews, it doesn't seem too good). I can only review their food. I got the turkey sandwich and it was better than I expected. I previously got the roast beef sandwich and it was equally as good and tasty. Their chips are made to perfection and not too salty or soft. The fries are ok and nothing to rave about. But overall, great food. I will return. read more

Ah yes, just what Delco needs... another bar and grill. So I'll start with a disclaimer or two. First off, I visited the Drexel Hill Casey's about 4 years ago, and wasn't impressed. I really didn't want that to influence my review here though. But admittedly my expectations were low. Secondly, I'm a bit disappointed because this place replaced Nora Lee's in this space, and I loved Nora Lee's. I'll say this right up front. The fact that we lost a New Orleans style restaurant that served great food and gained yet another neighborhood style bar and grill in these parts is a net loss to me. I'm sorry. We have too many choices in Delco for this type of atmosphere. So what that means is Casey's really has to bring something different to the table to make me want to come here instead of Barnaby's for example. Casey's, you gotta wow me! I'll say this... everything in the joint looks new, so they have that going for them. The upstairs is laid out very well and I could be comfortable up there. The downstairs... not so much. Since I walked in the door by the downstairs bar, I sat right there just because. I know what they are trying to do. They built the downstairs area to be more close knit, and more neighborhood bar-like to be separate from the upstairs music atmosphere, which is admirable. Problem is, the downstairs bar the way it is built feels more like a bar in someone's basement that is two sizes too big for the space. Nice try, but cramped. And really, we have more than enough "neighborhood bars" in Delco. Give me something a little better than that. But two things are important, the food and the service. I'll say that service wise, the bartender who served me, Gail, was as nice as can be. I enjoyed chatting with her, and she took good care of me. Give her a raise! Now the food... my first thought is that I wanted to see something on the menu that caught my eye and set this place apart. Something to say that "Hey, we're not the same ol Delco place you've seen a hundred times before!" Nope, didn't find that. Although I am told that they will be having a carving station in the future (and they will have to beat Tom and Jerry's which is an excellent place for a sandwich), nothing jumped at me as a must try dish. So I asked Gail to recommend something. She recommended the Reuben sandwich, saying that they were selling a lot of them, and people were calling it the best Reuben they ever had. OK... sold! So, for $8.49 I got a decent sized Reuben with homemade chips. Also, for $5.50 I got a pint of Sam Adams Winter Ale. By the way... tap beer selection downstairs is somewhat minimal, another disappointment which I hope they expand. I won't call it the best Reuben I ever had (New York delis... you can't beat them). However, judging by the fact that I polished it off, and wanted more of the chips afterward, I felt satisfied. I might not make this a destination place. I don't think I'm telling anyone from out of town that when they come here they gotta try Casey's. Maybe someday they'll get to that level. But, if you sit upstairs, and if you like Reuben sandwiches and Sam Adams beer, it's not too bad. I may come back and try the carving station to give them a shot at wowing me. But really, if they're just going to do the same thing that they did in Drexel Hill, well it might work for them. It just won't work for me. read more

As a bartender and server for many years myself I could not believe the type of service and food I received at Casey's. My boyfriend and I ordered the calamari special from Casey's tonight. Once it came out I didn't like the look of it. We both decided to give it a try. We both love calamari and thought it was inedible. If you touched it the breading fell right off. The calamari itself was super chewy and just not good. We pushed the bowl in front of us and didn't eat anymore. The bartender eventually came back and asked if we wanted to put anymore food in we replied no thanks. Never asking how the calamari was or if anything was wrong. We finished our drinks and decided to go up the street to the tumble inn to finish dinner. When we got our check the full bowl of calamari still sat on the bar and the bartender didn't even ask if we needed a box to take it with us. read more

Went for a luncheon on Monday (4/4/22) it was held on the 3rd floor of the restaurant. It's beautiful upstairs (the steps aren't fun but the view makes it better) and the bartenders/do it all ladies were fantastic. I wish I asked their names but sadly I did not. They were so helpful, (went and got my Dad Sangria all the way downstairs) they did everything asked & with a Smile. The cakes especially the Carrot Cake was soooo amazing I'm still thinking about it. Also the salad dressing was FANTASTIC!!! I wish I asked for some when I left.. honestly loved it that much. I don't live far from Casey's, but don't seem to go there very often. After tonight, I'll be back soon! We sat on the back deck, and it was delightfully breezy and quiet. Service was attentive and friendly. They have an extensive beer list, seemed like more than ten brews on tap, and some interesting cocktails. I had broiled salmon with mashed potatoes and spinach, and it was delicious! I couldn't finish it because the serving was large, but I'll have it tomorrow for lunch. My friend had the mushroom and swiss burger with a salad and was very happy with both. Don't overlook Casey's next time you want a meal in Ridley Park! read more

I've been here a few times for a variety of occasions: drinks only, snacks only and a full meal. I've always had pleasant experiences. Their drink prices are really good and often have stuff on special. Most recently I was here for a meal with a large group on a Saturday morning. We called ahead, but the restaurant was basically empty and probably would've been sat quickly and easily regardless. We had one waitress for a table of 12 and she handled it so smoothly. We ordered drinks and apps and then entrees. We had a few kids with us and she was always really attentive to them, with bringing out their food a little early which is always appreciated. I had their French onion soup - it was really flavorful but I personally like the onions cut smaller. For lunch - I shared a portion of the Cajun chicken pasta which is definitely enough for two people. I never would've been able to eat it all alone, but leftovers are always great! I am still curious about all the levels of the restaurant with having both an upstairs and downstairs I've been in - but I've never utilized their outside area so that'll have to be my next trip! read more

Solid bar will decent beer prices, decent food options and above average service... depending on who is working. I haven't been here a ton but I have enjoyed my experience both times I've been in. The food here is above average on taste, the prices on certain items are high but overall you get a good bang for your buck. You almost always have to pack out back and walk about because the parking in front is very limited. Restaurant area is clean with lots of TV options if you're trying to watch a particular game the staff has always put on whenever event we requested. You can do a lot worse than going to Casey's. read more

Went to the bar downstairs for lunch. My first time there and I wasn't aware of the set up - dining room upstairs with patio seating, too, but I decided to stay downstairs. Nice, clean place. Good atmosphere. I would be fine having happy hour here, lunch with my coworkers, or even bringing the kids to eat. Jenna was my server, and I found out Tuesday was crab legs day (snow crabs, which I never eat cuz I prefer Dungeness as y'all know from my review of Shakes), but, anyway. Sold. Sam Adams Summer Ale and an order of crab legs ($20-something for the platter, $30-something for all-you-can-eat) with a Caesar salad. Salad was delicious, but the lettuce was room temperature. It was fresh and crisp, but I prefer my lettuce ice cold. The platter came with two clusters and a mini corn on the cob. It was served with a cup of butter and a cup of crab seasoning. DIY is fine by me, cuz I know these Delco folks will have a fit if you overseason their food. The crabs were cooked perfectly. Shells were still crisp and easy to break, meat came out perfectly. Corn was sweet and cooked well, but they must have refrigerated it after they cooked it, because it was ice cold at the core. Like fresh out the industrial fridge cold. Lol. Anyway, plenty of TVs, attentive staff, and delicious food. I would ask, however, that they offer paper towels or hand wipes when they're doing crabs. Idk how I managed to not get any on my bright green dress, but I did get up twice to wash my hands. I'll be back with my lunch crew, for sure. read more

Went to a high school reunion. The food was less then stellar. I'm not sure what merits any recommendation. The bartenders were very nice . The food was kind of sad. First time My fiancé and I ordered from Casey's we used Uber eats. They forgot the Cole slaw on my pulled pork sandwich (which makes the sandwich) so when I called to talk to them about it- the lady that answered said- there's nothing we can do, call Uber eats. I was like- oh, okay. (Thought that was unprofessional) but I did. Gave them a second chance a few weeks ago, decided after working at the hospital all day, I would call Casey's MYSELF, place the order and pick it up on my way home. (Thought that would omit the Uber eats issue). I get there, they give me my order, I get out to my car- check my order before I leave- ITS WRONG. Same sandwich. Only this time- no Cole slaw or cheese on the sandwich. (These are the two things it is supposed to come with already on it). With chips on the side. I didn't get chips, or Cole slaw or cheese. I go back in- explain it's wrong- she takes it back to the kitchen- they throw a few slices of cheese on it, don't melt it, forget the Cole slaw and tell me my fries are in the bag already. (I didn't even order fries). One of the managers called me later on that evening, half an apology, trying to justify why my ordering made it turn out wrong. Offered me a gift card. I didn't even call her back to get it. We will no longer be eating at Casey's. It's a shame. read more
