This was my first time at the Rind even though I live locally. Cheese isn't my fave thing. With that said, I enjoyed the Caesar salad and added bacon to it. The croissants were amazing and the mocha was so good. Cute and casual place. Good selection if you like charcuterie boards.

Just want to update a review i did about a year ago, but this time I'd like to focus on on GREAT The Rind is for small groups of 5-10. The environment is open and welcoming. The positive, hospitable staff are a real pull for regulars. This evening our kind server was willing to move a table or two to be accommodating. The cocktails are consistently good. Wines are interestingly global and good. The food is inspired. My Caesar Salad with Boquerones (yummy pickled, anchovy fillets) was excellent! Highly recommended!

Ok this place was so much cuter in person than I anticipated! I am still thinking about the sardine wallpaper. Ordered the house spritz and split a charcuterie board with friends. Small(er) servings but everything was extremely high quality. Favorites were the crackers, manchego, and jam. Would def recommend if you're looking for a darker moody intimate setting

What an exciting place to have in the Berkley/RO neighborhood! We loved the concept of a cheese shop + restaurant. the vibe was bright and hip, not too busy but busy enough even on a weeknight. the server was friendly and kind and took their time to walk us through the menu. there are daily offerings that are different, such as the burger and the beet salad, which we went for and enjoyed. the cheese plate and wine selection was also delicious. this is definitely a favorite of mine, especially because we got to visit the store after dinner and got to buy some of our favorite ingredients/snacks from our trip to europe; double 0 flour for pasta, spanish paprika, and some crackers! cannot wait to come back.

Some friends invited us to dinner here and we were thrilled to join them! At first glance, the menu seemed a bit unusual, but it was fun to try a variety of different things. Our server, Zane, was amazing! He walked us through the whole menu and gave us a bunch of great suggestions. We started with a cheese and charcuterie plate which was excellent. Then, we saw the table next to us eating something that looked fantastic. Zane told us it was the Pretty Potatoes so we ordered that and it tasted even better than it looked! We shared the beef and fish dishes and they both had excellent flavor. Then, we topped things off with the Big Bopper, an ice cream sandwich unlike any I have had before. Definitely a great spot in Berkley to try if you have a chance!

I wish I could give this place 10 stars!!! I've only eaten here once but it was one of the best food experiences I've ever had. My dining companion and I got the current cheese and charcuterie board which was absolutely fantastic. The high quality of everything presented and how thoughtfully curated the items were was very apparent while enjoying the board. We also go the mushroom toastie which is actually one of the best things I've ever eaten. Like, singing from the mountaintops good. Everything about it was divine. Cooked and seasoned to perfection- the textures and flavors work so well together. We ended our meal with the olive oil cake. Beautifully delicate flavors, not too sweet, moist. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the items offered. The ambiance was very cute and unique- a comfortable space.

    Fish fish was delicious!

We've eaten at The Rind twice and both have been incredible experiences. We not only love the food; but also , the experience the entire team provides. It's our current go to restaurant to take visiting family to. We love the ever changing menu and the adjoining shop is amazing too. The ambiance is boisterous and quaint at the same time. We will be back soon!

This place has become our go to local spot. We just moved to Berkley and we are extremely lucky to have such a quality restaurant so close to us. This gem is connected to Mongers Provisons which is a fantastic meat, cheese and wine shop (also highly recommended). The menu is very seasonal with great cocktails to match. Most importantly, the staff is so warm and inviting. They are all so skilled and charming that it makes the experience seamless and the atmosphere very approachable. I can't say enough about this place, but I also want to keep it my secret. Get the specials. Get the charcuterie. Get the wine. Get the dessert. Get yourself a very good time.

Our go to staple for date night! The staff are truly the best and the food is incredible. I

What a great spot! Attached to Monger's provisions in Berkley, you can't get anymore farm to table than The Rind. Excellent food, wine and cocktails are waiting to be discovered at The Rind. Make sure you try some cheese or charcuterie when you are there, and make sure you order family style so you get to try as much as you can on the menu. Everything is locally sourced, and thoughtfully prepared. We each tried a cocktail and shared 6 dishes and two orders of the most amazing bread and butter! We had plenty and you def need bread to soak up all the sauces left behind. They are also open for lunch for one of the best soup and grilled cheeses you can get in the D. Check it out! Parking in the back, FYI.

Love the Rind! Sneak in the back parking lot !

The steak was chewy, the potatoes were flavorless. Service and ambiance were chill. Wouldn't really go again.

The food options are equal to speakeasy bar bites like pretzels, nuts, cheese and chocolate. We got the charcuterie board and it was okay. I'd like to see them upgrade this option maybe some fresh fruit or something. But I'll always say YES to this place :)

It sadness me to write this review. I really enjoy the atmosphere and camaraderie at trivia night…read moreat MBTB. But I am outraged by new ownership that apparently changed over on Monday. We went for trivia and expected it to be the same as always, unfortunately it was not. They erased our points we've earned for a free glass, these are no longer honored. The menu has significantly changed: flights are $2-$3 more, no longer include flight bites, an upcharge for premium pours (which is understandable), no longer has a $5 bottle credit, and each glass is now $3-$5 more per pour. Why did you have to make every last item on the menu more expensive? I understand that the economy and inflation contribute to these things, but to increase the price and get less on everything throughout the menu plus not honor points earned for a free glass is a slap in the face. I'm just crushed at the blatant disrespect for the regulars that come every week for trivia or other events, no warning. Our trivia night just got a whole lot more expensive and we will be looking at other locations with more reasonably priced beverages and snacks. I hope they still allow us to bring in our own food, they did this week but who knows if that will also change. The staff seemed stressed telling us the new rules as well.

Waited a few minutes, but was ready around the time I requested. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger (with Piedmontese beef) and had fries and onion rings. I'll start with the good. The fries were very good. Crispy and salted, they definitely hit the spot. The onion rings were the best I've had. Hearty batter with a perfect crunch. Absolutely delightful and I could have eaten a million of them. Onto the burger. First of all, there was no bacon. If you're charging over $3 for bacon, gotta make sure it makes it on the burger. I also ordered the bun toasted; it was not. Good start. The patty had zero flavor. No seasoning could be detected. The only redeeming part was the burnt onion which I added. They really were burnt but had nice flavor. I'd give the burger a D rating. For $25, it really was a giant disappointment and eff you. Can't say I'm wanting to return. Such a shame. What used to be one of my favorites is now a lowlight. 2 stars because of the sides.
