They literally charged $10.00 for a boring grilled cheese and then $1.00 extra for 2 small slices of pickle, another $1.00 extra for one small piece of lettuce....and then another $1.00 for 3 strips if onion! Of course they didn't tell you until you got the bill that you were being charged extra for every little single thing that should have come complimentary! The $10.00 grilled cheese literally was two small pieces of bread and two pieces of cheap ass looking cheese! No great find here...very disappointing. The only thing they have going for them is the view! Pass! Oh and they also make sure there are no drink prices on the menu. read more

Beyond happy with our experience at the River Front Cafe yesterday! We went in with a large group (over 20) and the service was awesome. Our server was fast, attentive & very friendly. We were impressed with not only how fast our food came out but also the quality! Our order ranged from appetizers - hot wings, mozzarella sticks, pizza bread - all of it great! The antipasto salad was huge, full of fresh veggies & ham, pepperoni, & mozzarella. The pizzas were huge & delish & come brushed with a garlic butter (only advice is you're ordering mushrooms ask for fresh as the pizzas come with canned but the salads had fresh - and they were great). The fish & chips and fish sandwiches were great. The beer selection was awesome & super cold! We were already planning our next trip back before we even left! Highly recommend. read more

This place is pretty darn great. My group and I were coming through town on our way to Joshua Tree. We hadn't planned on staying in Joshua Tree camping so none of this was planned. It was getting late so cooking when we got there wasn't an option. Especially since we didn't even know where we would find a camping spot. My buddy found this place somewhat on the way and ordered some pizza a head of time. I am not kidding....we walked in and the pizza was being brought to the table at the same time. Perfect timing and something that will probably never happen for us again. We ordered large rainbow and kitchen sink pizzas. Both were tasty and filled 4 of us with deliciousness. We were dreading driving 2.5 more hours since we literally had to camping spot reserved and everything seemed to be booked up when we called the park. The owner was so very nice and helped us figure something out. Once that was off our shoulders, we sat back and enjoyed the rest of our night. Great food. Nice location right on the river. What a wonderful find! Service is amazing...friendly, fast and Stacy was the best!!! She gave us very helpful recommendations for dinner and desert...absolutely the best pineapple upside down cake with ice cream :) Stacy also gave us ideas of what to see and things to do in the area. We will definitely return and plan to spend more time in the area checking out Stacy's suggestions. Can't say enough about this place! In the past, we have dined in, drank some cocktails, and had a good time. However, today when we got off the river all we wanted to do was crash in our hotel room. We knew exactly who to call for dinner...pizza from the River Front café! We called them up and tried to place an order for pizza. The owner said that they had not been busy enough to have a delivery person, but she would go ahead and deliver to us anyways for a small fee! It was so nice of her to go out of her way to bring it to us. In addition, she also brought all the paperware for us to have a picnic in our hotel room. We ordered the Kitchen Sink pizza and it delivered. The crust was garlicky and the toppings were plentiful. The pizza itself was huge! We ordered an anti-pasta salad and it had just the right amount of toppings on it. Thank you Cindy! We will definitely be visiting you every time we're out here! read more

Someone needs to write an honest opinion about this place. We saw the yelp reviews and decided to go. Seeing the surrounding trailer park should have dampened our spirits but it didn't. The location on the Colorado River is fantastic. Everything else was completely regrettable. I'm not mad. This place is the worst food I have had in years. No one in our family finished their meal. The left over pizza, we left in the garbage. Don't order mixed drinks. Our margaritas had the cheapest ingredients. The bowling alley in our town is 100x better than this place. The service people were nice, but were not good either. We had no napkins or place settings. We couldn't get a check. I will honestly remember never to eat or stop in Needles, CA again if that place has over 3 stars. read more

for the past 4 yrs i have bragged about the food and the PIZZAA!!!! the best and then 3 weekends ago... we went to eat on a saturday. place was packed the bar was getting their drinks but food???? 1.45 hours later and no food for us and 3 other tables!!! Many people walked out including us! I have never had such a horrible time. Cindy the owner was not there and she is normally very hands on and keeps things rolling. I didn't recognize not 1 waitress and the 2 cooks were NOT doing well... 1 pizza went out 2 hours after we got there... .that was not ours we had another party in front of us... so we walked out. The cook was a mess, super disorganized, walked out and saw us and asked if we had "gone in yet or did we walk out". I told her we walked out. she just kept smoking her cigarette and said "sorry, its crazy in there and I need a break. she said she didn't know what is going on"??? she was the main cause,,, not sure but something was up!!! I will try it one more time and if it is bad again I will need to find a new pizza joint. makes me sad to think of that because I do really like their food and menu read more

Just stopped here on our way back from the Grand Canyon. This place is a wonderful and unexpected pleasure. The staff really are above and beyond. Everyone we interacted with was very kind, attentive and accommodating. The food alone is good (better than expected) but not excellent. What gives this place 5 stars is the welcoming environment, great service and location (it's pet friendly too !!) . We will definitely be coming back on every road trip we have going through needles. My only complaint (moreso recommendation) would be to offer a veggie patty and provide styrofoam free Togo containers. Overall we would 100% recommend the cafe and look forward to coming back. read more

Great lunch stop!! We had the tropical pizza which was excellent and a brownie to top it off. There is outdoor seating that faces the river which provides a nice view. Additionally, it's COVID friendly. We would definitely recommend this place! Sitting outside was a real treat and the Colorado river was really flowing by so fast that the poor ducks could make no progress and a out board boat did not need to even start and engine to go zooming by.
