FLAVORFUL RESTAURANT IN A HIP PART OF INDY…read more======================================== My daughter-in-law recommended Bluebeard for dinner on Monday, June 22, 2026. I would have to say this restaurant is my favorite in Indy right now after one meal. Most of the things we shared were amazing and for a complete description please refer to my photo of the menu. We ordered the following: Burrata with Amelia's bread as an appetizer which was delicious. Gem Salad - This was amazing and I could eat it every day of the week. Stacci house made pasta - This was a big hit and I would order this every time. Hanger Steak - My husband, aka the picky eater, loved it. I didn't try it, but everyone seemed to like it. Chicken with a few dumplings - We all loved this. Three desserts to share: a cheesecake with fruit on top, one a bread pudding and a chocolate crisp. I ordered a delicious Monsoon Season cocktail with song cai vietnamese gin, cocchi americano, st. george thai basil eau de vie, elderflower, lemon and basil oil. My son and I also ordered glasses of Port after dinner. The service was great and I loved that they were playing really good rock music like Soundgarden and others. There are lots of antique typewriters above the bar and a cool print of Kurt Vonnegut by the bathrooms. I am looking forward to going again the next time my husband and I are in Indy visiting my son and daughter-in-law unless they move out of state.

Themed around Indy native Kurt Vonnegut, you'll see old typewriters, books, and names of menu items paying tribute to the famous author. The menu feels high class but the atmosphere and wait staff are friendly and welcoming. You could dress up for a special occasion or come in casual every day wear and either fit in just fine. Their ever changing menu featuring local produce and meats is always unique, inventive, and most importantly, delicious. Their cocktail list is one of the best and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had an extensive mocktail list as well. Their sodas and syrups are all house-made which means every drink is full of fresh flavors. I had a lemon pasta dish an my husband ordered the hanger steak. Both were cooked perfectly and composed of flavors and textures that complimented each other perfectly. There's nothing that wouldn't be good on their menu because you can tell the chefs are exceptional as well as the ingredients they choose. I really can't say enough good things about this place, it remains one of my favorite places to enjoy a meal and no matter what I choose, I'm never disappointed.

Anniversary dinner @tinkerstreetindy tonight! I've been wanting to go here forever and we finally…read moremade it happen! Started with the cauliflower steak- curry with saffron rice with potatoes and a pomegranate molasses along with the brightness of cilantro and mint. This is listed as a large plate, but we chose it as our starter. Hubs had the pork belly and by how quickly it disappeared, he definitely enjoyed it! I was torn on what to choose, but ended up with the shrimp étouffée and so glad I did! The sauce was divine and the apple chutney added a surprisingly wonderful addition. Dessert? Of course! Banana pudding for the hubs and I had the apple cider whoopie pie. This thing was giant! I tasted the banana pudding and it was good. I might have stolen some whip cream to taste with the whoopie pie and honestly- five five stars.

It's a very small kitchen where all the action happens, which is very impressive for a restaurant their size. Very knowledgeable staff and servers described all the ingredients and notes of flavor to look for in the dishes very well. Most ingredients were locally sourced and staff highlighted the importance of souring fresh local ingredients with every dish. Everyone form the hostess to the bartender and bus boy were friendly and welcoming. definitely 5* for service. The menu is a mix of several cuisines from Korean to Italian and even some French with a twist. The menu has great vegetarian options. Unfortunately the chef's tasting menu wasn't available as my reservation was made same day, but I decided to go with the two specials of the day. Dinner kicked off with a shot of Champaign on the house They like welcoming their guests that way. Water kept being refilled immediately. The staff again was very attentive. As an appetizer I went with the Scallops crudo with house made berry vinegar. The crudo was a healthy serving of scallops. Crispy raw carrots and radish provide some texture, while greens including endive provided some bitterness. This dish was a bit heavy on pepper and bitterness from the endives and could use some acidity to balance it out. Scallops were not as sweet as I was expecting. A bit more of the homemade raspberry vinagrette would have been perfect. The dark blue ring caused by the marination process would have shown more on a different color serving plate instead of a black bowl. For the main course I ordered the Beet linguini with sea bass. Interesting take on linguini Pickled rhubarb, rainbow radishes, fresh dill and a 'beet marinara' sauce reminded me of borscht. Unfortunately the linguini was overcooked and soaked up a lot of the butter and sauce. The pickled rhubarb provided a break from the heaviness of the dish but overall the dish lacked brightness. Sea bass was perfectly cooked. Seared and crusted with salt and pepper on one side, simple. Well executed but nothing special. For dessert I went with the Strawberry dacquoise which was delicious. The white chocolate bark with pink peppercorn stole the show. It should be layered inside the dessert! I wanted more of it. This dessert was not overly sweet. it was a great mix of pistachios and strawberry and fluffy cake. Gelee was a bit too dense but otherwise fantastic end to a good meal.

ONE OF MY NEW FAVORITES FOR AMERICAN FOOD NEAR MASS AVE…read more Union 50 came in clutch when my friends and I were looking for a last minute dinner reservation. Called at 6 and got a reservation for 8, for 5 of us on a Saturday night. This is kind of an anomaly for any restaurants off Mass Ave. We were seated right away and started with drinks and apps. We got "Disco Boys" and "I'm too pretty for this" cocktails which were tasty - kudos for the fun cocktail names. Calamari, Artisan, and Charcuterie came shortly after. There's a few different options of cheeses and meats, it's sort of a choose your own adventure situation. All were good, especially the calamari. A lot of restaurants tend to overcook it and the calamari gets rubbery, not the case here. Our entrees came out next and I made sure to try a bite of everyone's LOL. The standout of all the entrees was definitely the "Duck, duck" which was, obviously, duck. The runner up would definitely have to be the chicken cacciatore. Overall, really great ambiance, food, and service. I would highly recommend Union 50 if you're looking for something fancy, but not too fancy. If you're a Cunningham member, don't forget to give your phone # to the server to look up your account. Will definitely be back soon!

We shared the petit charcuterie, lamb meatballs, kimchi meatloaf, and the duck duck. Everything was amazing, I don't think you can go wrong with what you choose. We finished off with the house made chocolates, which was just the right amount of sweetness to end a wonderful meal. Highly recommend!

It's got a western ish feel to it with plenty of TVs with games showing. I ordered the All American Steak burger with all toppings available and pepper jack cheese. It did not disappoint. For $11 for everything you see here???? That's an amazing deal. The pepper jack was also had some good kick to it which I especially liked. This is a repeat for sure. Edited to say the Bloody Mary comes with a whole stalk of celery, a skewer of olives/cheese/pepperoni, and tater tots. It's massive and truly like a meal all by itself.

Well, at a state school anyway. I've been coming to Tick Tock off and on for the last 12 years. It's an awesome atmosphere with great food and delicious Bloody Marys. In fact, every single person who I talk to about Bloody Marys gets to wait for me to pull up Yelp on my phone to show them a photo of their world famous beverages. Seriously, they're amazing The frequency in which I dine at Tick Tock has increased 10x now that some great friends who recently moved here from Florida have found it. We're here a lot. A LOT. The burgers are delicious and I'm also a big fan of their old fashioneds. They also have waffle fries on the menu, and even though it's an upcharge, it's a no brainer for me. My group of five stopped in this evening for dinner. The table ended up with a huge bowl of beef chili with a mouth watering grilled cheese, a Philly cheesesteak, a pulled pork sandwich and two 10" pizzas. Everything was damn good, but

This was a birthday gift from my kids and, to be honest, I was apprehensive but now that I've done the class I'm a complete convert! It was fun, educational, and of course tasty! Hotel Tango is a local distillery, and this was our first visit. The building is unassuming, but once inside it was a beautiful space with plenty of seating, lots of drink options, and a cool 'vibe' even for those of us who don't frequent bars/distilleries/breweries. I could see myself hanging out there sipping on a bourbon and chatting up the bartenders or other patrons either inside on a comfy couch or out front on the patio. But that isn't why we were there. For my birthday, the kids got us tickets to attend 'Tango U' which is a somewhat frequent offering at HT. The class was made for 8 attendees, and included background information on the distillery, spirits in general, and in depth looks at two drinks. Our class did a traditional Old Fashioned Cocktail and a drink called 'Orange is the New Wack'. We learned about proper technique, why drinks are made the way they are, and more. Mark (our bartender and/or Mixologist) was fantastic. He told stories from the industry, was a great resource on spirits and drinks and such, and answered what seemed like hundreds of questions from all of us. He made the class enjoyable and educational. The Old Fashioned was our first, and upon completion we had time to enjoy our drink and chat with others in the class as well as Mark. It was a very 'spirit forward' drink (look at me with my fancy new terminology) so you could really taste the rye. Not my usual choice, but good nonetheless. I made it, so it had to be so. After the class enjoyed a break to sip and chat, we started on the second drink and learned additional techniques, more about liquor and made a 'sweeter' (my term) drink which was more my style. I admit, I could have had three more of them, and probably twice that if I was sitting on the beach somewhere sunny. When the class wrapped up, we were allowed to hang out and chat, ask any more questions, or head to the bar and order something else to try. It was a great experience, and I highly recommend it. I'm not a huge drinker, nor do I geek out over cocktails and craft beers, but it was fun, and I'd do it again for sure. 5 stars for the bar/distillery itself and 10 stars for the class!
