On, Saturday May 25th I decided to go to a different place. Now, I only heard about Raceway Pub since one of the members always post things on my Facebook group so I decided to check it out. Now, Saturday evening May 25th was a nice day, it's not far from Speedway, and located at Clermont, Indiana. They are doing updates to the outside of the Pub. Raceway Pub appears to look like an old yellow home. Once, entering the Pub from the back where there's a parking lot, and there are no stairs entering the building. It's an older gem, dim lighting, a lot of adult theme posted that's very hilarious. I sat at the bar where I was greeted by Kimmy & Riley both of the Bartenders very warm, social and helpful on the menus. I order mozzarella cheese sticks(6) and chicken wings(9). Everything was made to order, I want to say it took about 20mins for food. The chicken wings were very juicy, not too meaty just right, and the delicious mozzarella cheese sticks were so cheesy, hot, fresh, and so delicious. Raceway Pub does have ladies nights, karaoke nights, live bands, and a lot of specials will food and drinks. I had a good experience overall and I'll definitely be back.

I never would have come here if my wife had not found it on Yelp. It really does not look like much from the outside and we were worried it might be a "locals only" bar. However, once we went inside (through the back door where the parking lot is located), everyone was very friendly. In fact, our quick dinner turned into an over 2-hour night out. There's a pool table and an electronic dartboard, too. it appears they have a lot of live music/karaoke here as there is a stage in the corner. The food is standard bar food, but it's done pretty well. The wings are good and cheap. The beer selection is lacking (Coors Light/Bud Light on draft, and 3 or 4 bottles mostly domestic), but there's more than enough variety in liquors (and daily drink specials) to keep me interested.

We eat out a lot because we tend to work long days, so being sick of the standard chinese food and pizza, we were thrilled to find that Firemen's Pub delivers! Hamburgers to my door? Score! We've had the giant cheeseburger (they mean giant), the tenderloin (a favorite), the Philly Cheese Steak (delicious), cheese fries (wavy thick fries with nacho cheese with a slight spice...reminds me of mom), poppers and mozz sticks (they're the standard fare), chili dog (huge) and pretzel (awesome). Plus, they deliver. When you're sick of pizza, this is definitely the way to go. I haven't yet tried the pizza, but I'll add it to the list soon!

Ordered 2 bacon cheeseburgers at 7:00pm (1.5 hrs ago) and we are still waiting. Told by the older lady at 7:50pm she was wrapping it up....and now it's 8:21 and no food. Just called and cancelled our order. Guess what the girl said? "Its on the way." LOL!!!! Do NOT charge our card. We will monitor it as well. Ps. We're only 1.6 miles (5 mins) from this place. Tried to help this small business out, but it's a wonder how they keep the lights on based on the horrible reviews on every social media site. Oh well. Moving on.

I'm actually gonna give this place five stars. The bartender downstairs amber is awesome. She had a lot to deal with tonight with the Halloween party to deal with, but she did awesome. Also I tired the pizza due to a recommendation to a regular. It was phenomenal. Yes the other reviews are pretty much correct, This Is a great bar. I'll be back.

They had the door open, which was letting in the fresh almost-spring air.) Drinks are pretty much all they have at Snug, to be honest. Don't visit thinking you're going to find a meal, because they don't have a lot of food beyond locally made hand pies and empanadas, a grazing board, and something called Snug Nuts. (Which brings to mind certain ... images.) I didn't get any food, just a Road & Coke, which is a whiskey with a Coke and lime, similar to a Cuba libre, although a Cuba uses rum. It was delicious, but a little light on the booze. It was only $5 and change, though, so it's kind of like what do you expect, really. It was a nice drink to sip slowly while I sat in the small, cozy bar. Speaking of bar aesthetics: Snug lives up to its name. It's tiny and dark but inviting. It feels like stepping into a hug. A hug that can also provide you with copious amounts of Irish whiskey, which sounds like the best kind of hug, to me.

We complimented it, asked where they found it, and before we knew it, we were chatting with a wonderful couple who had traveled all the way from overseas just to watch Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever play that night. Moments like that are one of the reasons I love Indianapolis on game days. The patio was the perfect place to soak it all in. Fever fans filled the sidewalks, kids proudly carried homemade signs, and there was an excitement in the air that only comes from a city rallying behind its team. We could have people-watched for hours. Our waitress was exactly what every server should strive to be. Friendly, relaxed, and genuinely fun to talk to, she somehow mastered the art of appearing right before we found ourselves looking around for her. We never felt rushed, but we also never waited for anything. The food held up its end of the bargain too. The fried mozzarella disappeared embarrassingly fast and earned a solid 9.3 on my unofficial stretch meter. Crispy on the outside, perfectly gooey inside, with a marinara sauce that was every bit as good as the cheese itself. The chef salad was fresh, generously loaded with toppings, and easily big enough for a meal. I honestly couldn't tell you what beer I ordered... Because what I remember most is the experience. Sharing appetizers on a sunny patio, meeting fellow basketball fans from halfway around the world, and watching Indianapolis come alive before tipoff. It reminded me that sports have a funny way of turning complete strangers into friends. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're headed to Gainbridge.

Our server was friendly and responsive to one member of our group (male) but repeatedly didn't acknowledge another (female). This wasn't a one-time thing, it happened several times over the course of our visit, and it came across as dismissive. As for the drinks: beer prices were nice and cheap, but the margarita was on the expensive side and not really worth it. The place seems geared toward bigger dinner crowds, which may be why a two-person drinks-only table didn't get much attention, but being essentially ignored isn't a great look either way. We wouldn't return. 2/5.

From the moment you walk in, you start looking around instead of at the menu. One wall is covered in hundreds of stickers that somehow work together perfectly, there's a colorful mural that's impossible not to notice, and the whole place has that "this has been someone's favorite spot for years" kind of energy. Then the pizza showed up... We ordered the Spicy Mexican, and I don't know who first decided sour cream belonged on pizza, but they deserve a raise. Chorizo, fresh jalapeños, red onion, cilantro, mozzarella, and that cool drizzle of sour cream somehow all work together without one ingredient stealing the show. Every bite had a little heat, a little freshness, and a whole lot of flavor. Flavor Bomb Meter: The crust had just enough chew with a perfectly crisp bottom, and the toppings weren't shy. No sad, sparsely dressed pizza here. Topping-to-Crust Ratio: 10/10. I also appreciate restaurants that have personality without trying too hard. Pearl Street feels authentic. Nobody's trying to create an Instagram backdrop--it just naturally has one around every corner. Plus, they had a few vegan choices for me (highly caloric, not super healthy, but still, they had more than one choice, and vegan offerings that weren't salads). They even had three tasty mocktails and some alcohol-free beers (since I don't do booze anymore either)! The veggie burger came with a squishy bean patty, with peas in it -- not my fave texture or flavor but tolerable -- and a tahini sauce... but they barely put any sauce on it. A gourmet, no-high-fructose-corn-syrup ketchup or tomato jam might have been better, or at least more of the tahini. It did come with a nice pile o' crunchy pickles (love) and a lovely green salad with balsamic dressing (way too many carrots). Service was fast and friendly. Ambience is upscale bar, with fun and interesting murals on the walls -- they had a terrific music playlist going, and the Hubbins and I ended up kind of dancing in place without realizing it. Public parking lot directly across the street meant we didn't get soaked by the rainstorm, and didn't have to drive around forever dealing with construction, looking for a parking spot. A nice, easy option for dinner with the fam without having to work/think too hard about it -- something to suit all of our varied diets.
