Friendly bartenders, great food, great drinks, cold beer and lots of things to keep you entertained! The pizza is the best!! The prices are great and the specials are even better. I went with a group of friends and we had the best time!!! I won money on pull tabs and it paid for my night with some left over!! It's a diverse crowd with a lot of friendly regulars. We were laughing all night and dancing on the bar!! This has become our favorite place to go and we love that it's non-smoking, they do have a nice area out back to smoke and a shack to use for bad/cold weather times. On, Saturday May 25th I decided to go to a different place. Now, I only heard about Raceway Pub since one of the members always post things on my Facebook group so I decided to check it out. Now, Saturday evening May 25th was a nice day, it's not far from Speedway, and located at Clermont, Indiana. They are doing updates to the outside of the Pub. Raceway Pub appears to look like an old yellow home. Once, entering the Pub from the back where there's a parking lot, and there are no stairs entering the building. It's an older gem, dim lighting, a lot of adult theme posted that's very hilarious. I sat at the bar where I was greeted by Kimmy & Riley both of the Bartenders very warm, social and helpful on the menus. I order mozzarella cheese sticks(6) and chicken wings(9). Everything was made to order, I want to say it took about 20mins for food. The chicken wings were very juicy, not too meaty just right, and the delicious mozzarella cheese sticks were so cheesy, hot, fresh, and so delicious. Raceway Pub does have ladies nights, karaoke nights, live bands, and a lot of specials will food and drinks. I had a good experience overall and I'll definitely be back. read more

I definitely DO NOT recommend if you are of color. As a business owner, having racists employees in NOT good for business. I had to experience harassment by an employee who claims to bartend there. She so badly felt she needed to know what was going on with my son because he was looking for me, mind you I'm on the restroom. I handled my situation but I don't understand what made her feel entitled to follow me to my car because she needed to tell me something. She didn't allow me to get inside my OWN car; told me to go back to my country( I'm from here btw) & also snatched my phone out of my hands as I tried to call the cops. She literally tried to intimidate me to the point where I couldn't even go home when that's all I wanted to do. Her opinion was uncalled for and I just can't understand why she felt the need to tell me something about my own situation that I handled myself (kids will be kids) had she stayed in her work area as she is paid to do so, this wouldn't have happened and I would not take my time of the day to write a review. I've recommended all my clients to try their pizza, I work with people of color & on 3 separate occasions they told me they had a negative experience walking in. Please do better business owner! Employees should stick to their area of work, if she was worried she should have called the cops. She made a situation escalate because she felt entitled to touch me, to not let me go home, and to snatch my phone out of my hands when all I wanted to was for her to leave me alone. But of course what could I expect, this is behavior coming from someone unprofessional in their craft! read more

I never would have come here if my wife had not found it on Yelp. It really does not look like much from the outside and we were worried it might be a "locals only" bar. However, once we went inside (through the back door where the parking lot is located), everyone was very friendly. In fact, our quick dinner turned into an over 2-hour night out. There's a pool table and an electronic dartboard, too. it appears they have a lot of live music/karaoke here as there is a stage in the corner. The food is standard bar food, but it's done pretty well. The wings are good and cheap. The beer selection is lacking (Coors Light/Bud Light on draft, and 3 or 4 bottles mostly domestic), but there's more than enough variety in liquors (and daily drink specials) to keep me interested. read more

The Raceway Pub is okay with me. It's a divey little bar that has been in Clermont for as long as anybody can remember. If you're looking for juicy IPA on draft and handlebar mustaches, you're probably going to strike out here. If you're just wanting a lite beer on draft and top 40 jams from 2009, welcome home! There's no smoking in here anymore and Raceway pub checks boxes for dartboards, a pool table, golden tee, pull tabs, laughing locals and bar food. There's usually only one or two girls working the bar and kitchen but the service has always been okay. We eat out a lot because we tend to work long days, so being sick of the standard chinese food and pizza, we were thrilled to find that Firemen's Pub delivers! Hamburgers to my door? Score! We've had the giant cheeseburger (they mean giant), the tenderloin (a favorite), the Philly Cheese Steak (delicious), cheese fries (wavy thick fries with nacho cheese with a slight spice...reminds me of mom), poppers and mozz sticks (they're the standard fare), chili dog (huge) and pretzel (awesome). If not for the cigarette smoke, this would be a fine hangout. A recent Friday night visit included a decent live band (sans cover charge) and line dancing. We grabbed two seats at the bar and settled in - bourbons in hand - for a little 'Photo Hunt'. The bartenders and clientele were all friendly - with the exception of a lone creeper with an ogling problem who nearly got help keeping his eyes forward. The draft beer selection is not sophisticated - I saw two taps that all ended in the word 'Light', but the booze was plentiful. It was not as cheap as I would have expected for the location - $4.75 for a mixed drink. They also have a pool table as well as a claw machine that includes various toys that I assume contain lead and asbestos as well as porn DVDs and dongs that they have wrapped in white paper - apparently for discretion. The kitchen serves up what I would consider football game fare - burgers, dogs, pizza. We didn't eat here, but the pizza prices were extremely low, and my momma always said "You get what you pay for." Reading the review, you might think this place might fetch two stars, but you'd be wrong. This place has character. It's a fun place to people watch and socialize if you feel like it. (This is definitely Clermont's cougar bar - if you're looking for that - and you probably shouldn't.) On your way home, you'll probably realize that you smell like ashtrays and cancer. So, be sure to take a shower and throw your clothes in the wash before you hit the sheets. For me, this place hovers around 3 stars... This bar reminds me of the bars where I went to college: small, smokey, lots of character, and no college students. You can fish for porn, stuffed animals, and sex toys in their claw machine. Bar service was quick even on a Friday night. There was a cover band (they were fine), and between sets the crowd packed onto the small dance floor to do the Wobble. I adore the "alone games" even if I'm with someone, and I like that theirs is at the corner of the bar instead of up against the wall. One of the first sentences I heard when I came in was "Yes, I am a card carrying member of the NRA!" followed by a hearty handshake. All the NRA members seemed friendly enough. I'd say over 50% of the clientele was wearing camo or something sports-related. There was a guy...the overweight version of Mr Clean...who stared at me in the creepiest way. Usually if you're staring at someone, and they look up at you, you stop, right? Not this guy. We're talking MINUTES. Gross. So don't go here alone if you're a girl. This place is a genuine dive though, definitely. I'm going to go eat their food sometime. It's ridiculously cheap, and I love bar cheeseburgers. read more

Decent food and prices. I've enjoyed their burgers and pizzas. Everything is reasonably priced. The good is decent to good. It's not bad. It's not great. 3 stars for the food and rhey get the 4th star because they deliver. That's the main difference with this place. Stopped in for dinner. Poor wait staff. Never got waited on at table. Went up to the bar and ordered a beer. Only $1 dollar on Wednesday nights. That's good! I took my beer back to my table and sat down. Wanted to order something for dinner. Another couple came in and sat down at the table next to me. The waitress waited on them immediately and walked past me several times. Finished my beer and never got waited on. Probably a great local blue-collar bar if they know you.
