Kids had chicken tenders and the steak and fries. Both kids enjoyed their meal. The chicken tenders were huge and kid got 3 of them. The steak was about 5oz, which was a decent size for the kid. It came pre-cut, so the kiddo didn't have to handle a huge steak knife to cut it--which was nice. Both came with a generous serving of golden French fries. Fresh cut or frozen, these fries were good! Either a second ramekin of ketchup or a larger one is definitely needed for the amount of fries served. I had the burger. It wasn't fancy--just cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onions--but it was a thick patty with fluffy bun with lots of flavor. It also came with a ton of golden fries. My mom had the BLT that didn't skimp on the pork belly. I wish the stores sold thick cut bacon like that. She said it was delicious. Hubby had the lobster roll. The kids brought the purple potato chips were the neatest thing (they were good, too). The lobster roll was perfectly dressed--not too much and not too skimpy--and tasted surprisingly fresh. This place is a little more upscale than some of the other places we've eaten at this week. We were welcomed as we were--shorts and tees. Other guests were dressed casually, not overly fancy. The adjacent museum was a cool place to visit, too. It housed 3 restored Navy planes that were neat to see. Since we're headed home tomorrow, we won't be back, but if we were staying longer, we'd make the ~hour long drive just to eat there again!

Parmesan fries app came as a generous portion and were pretty good as was our elderberry mocktail. The big disappoint was the tandoori chicken which the waitress recommended but we found to be very dry. It was described on the menu as having a yogurt marinate, which was already mixed into the dish, but we couldn't really taste it. The tabouli/rice that came with it was also dry and didn't have much taste. The waitress was nice and tried to get more sauce but when she couldn't, she brought olive oil and vinegar which was ok but at that point I would have just liked something different as it was pretty mediocre. Forage is a nice restaurant with some nice options but you should expect to spend a fair amount. I would expect the fine dining experience quality to match the price, but we had enough good food here that I would come back to try something different.

I know this is a summer golfing community but it should be partitioned away from the restaurant or better yet, moved completely out of the building. They had a very nice wine selection and the winter menu, although not extensive, certainly had a nice variety to choose from. Lucky for me, they had an evening special, Wild Caught Sea Bass. Drinks and bread were delivered fairly well paced. Our meal took about an hour, which felt like forever. Upon receiving the meal and trying it, oh it was so worth the wait. Presentation was absolutely beautiful and the taste, matched it's beauty. The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection. Everyone in my party felt the same about their meal. Please keep in mind, I would definitely give The Barn a full five but unfortunately, dropped it to a four (would like it to be a 4 1/2) because of the service. Although it was very friendly, it was oddly paced and slow. Of course, it may have been an off night too. Regardless, I hope to return sooner than later. Very much worth it!

Walked in with kids and wondered if we were recommended to the right place. No one said hi or even looked at us. Looked around for someone to greet or seat us and finally sat ourselves. After sitting there awkwardly and discussing on whether we should leave and where else to go, some a**hole walked past us and said, "five?" We nodded yes as she kept walking by, never stopped. Several more awkward moments passed and the same d*ckhead handed me a pile of menus and silverware to pass out. Would have been ok if she could have looked me in the eye and said hello and gave us her name. I asked her if we walked in the correct way, again she wouldn't look at me and said, "yeah," gave me this look like I was the dumbass, and as I went to ask her if it was okay to have kids in there, she gave me her back and walked off. While we ordered she acted bothered with questions. We got our food, but the people who brought it to us were so much better to talk to than our crackhead waitress. Twice she ran past our table and shouted, "still doing okay?" And never stopped. Never offered refills either. The only time she stopped was when she pretended to drop something next to our table and bent over in her booty shorts. After her saggy batwings flopped out I lost my appetite. The Royal Wolf used to be good. The quality of service has gone down! I recently ate there, and after seating myself, had to wait 20 mins before the wait staff greeted me at the table and brought water. After asking for another drink, I had to wait another 15 mins for it to arrive. At that point I should have gotten up and left. After ordering my food, it took 60 mins for the food to arrive! It was not like I ordered something complicated, it was only two items from their appetizers. Plus the food had obviously sat for a while. I had to ask for the check multiple times and it still took 15 mins for the check to arrive! I had my credit card ready and the wait staff did not want to take it to close out the bill. After 10 mins and trying to give my bill to the wait staff, I then went to the bar to have the bar tender close out the check. The bar tender acted like they were annoyed and did not care to close out a bill. With what I ordered, I should have been out of there at most in 45 mins, however their horrible service made my visit take 2 hours! I will never be back! read more

This review is just to review Rosie's stupid, asinine, and immature review. Your entire review is basically just bashing the looks of the staff. What is wrong with you? I doubt you're so attractive the staff ignores you to make you so uncomfortable. In actuality, you probably acted like a snob that rivals Donald Trump in the intelligence category so much, they had to work up the courage to go over and be berated by a beauty who transforms like Game of Throne's, Melisandre. Great place for locals and us visitors. Very friendly staff and great food. The menu is kid friendly also. Check out the daily specials. In the warmer months the porch is the best. I enjoyed the fact that they have a place to tie your dog. Nice touch for people traveling with pets. read more

Second time I got French fries as the side - and that's the only thing that was hot. The brisket is dry, and the pulled pork is just "meh". Having it "room temperature" (at best) makes it just gross. Unfortunately we will have to find another place next time we head over to Victor/Driggs. Very disappointing.
