What an absolute treat it was to stay here...my buddy and I did a stay n play where we played mayacama (amazing experience) and this was the hotel associated with it.....I did 0 research and had no expectations about what to expect, and I was absolutely blown away. This is no normal hotel, this feels like a resort stay. The staff was very friendly, informative, and insightful! My only complaint has nothing even to do with the Ruse, it was that our itinerary didn't give us enough time to enjoy our stay. We checked in late around 7pm, and left around 8am, but I wish we would've stayed all day! The complementary breakfast was DIVINE. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Hoping to be back very soon!

Absolutely spectacular experience- meticulously maintained grounds, gorgeous rooms, pool, hot tub, pickleball ... above and beyond our expectations! And the staff couldn't be any friendlier. Breakfast was amazing in gorgeous contemporary room with floor to ceiling windows. WOW.

Beautiful, relaxing atmosphere for a Healdsburg escape. Just 5min drive down from the main square but gives a secluded feel to rest and enjoy the facilities. Pickle ball, putting greens, bocce ball, and wonderful pool all on site. The breakfast is wonderful and included in the stay. What a wonderful discovery!

The chef is very creative and original. We shared a few appetizers, the tuna crudo was very different and very delicious but they're homemade pasta was quite inventive and really outstanding. Our dinner entrees were excellent we had the pork and the halibut entree but truthfully the dessert that we finished with was out of this world quite excellent. The name of that dessert was simply a strawberry and rhubarb dessert and the name didn't do it justice because it was very different very special very delicious we probably could have eaten that for the entire night because it was so good.. unexpected. Definitely would recommend coming to this beautiful spot

The man can truly cook. We've tried a variety of his dishes, and each one shows such intention, from the flavor profiles to the textures; and everything is always beautifully presented. It never misses. His congee is absolutely to die for, and those thinly sliced pork pieces with crisped skin and tender, juicy meat are a standout every single time. Check out that pic of burger he made for us for burger week! You can really taste the quality, especially knowing he uses fresh vegetables straight from the garden on the property. That is farm-to-table at its finest. On one of our visits, we stayed in a suite above the restaurant, which made the whole experience even more special. It was so nice to head upstairs after dinner and fully relax in our own space. Our room was stocked with thoughtful treats upon arrival, and we had access to the most beautiful private gym. The pool area is stunning, and we loved riding the bikes they provide to explore the property. I would absolutely stay here again. Everywhere you go, there's curated art to enjoy, which adds such a unique and elevated touch. They also host special events throughout the year. We especially love their summer movie nights, lounging on the lawn with fresh popcorn, wine, and Red Vines is such a vibe. All in all, our experience started with the restaurant and kept us coming back for more. It's made even more special by the team, who consistently make us feel so welcomed every time we visit. Thank you for always spoiling us, Chef. We are so grateful for you. Your talent and skill truly shine, and The Madrona is lucky to have you. See you again soon!

It starts with the reservation--the very first interaction with a restaurant. When I choose a fine dining experience, I want every touchpoint to feel special from beginning to end. Eliza, the reservation specialist at SingleThread, delivered exactly that. Her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made me feel like a VIP from our first conversation to our last interaction. Bravo to SingleThread for preserving something increasingly rare in the hospitality world: genuine human connection, thoughtful service, and a warm, personal touch. -- Manifestin4Life.com Ashley Rutberg

Tucked away in the quiet town of Healdsburg, SingleThread delivers the kind of experience that…read moreimmediately reminds you why it stands among California's three Michelin star destinations. From the very beginning of the meal, there was a clear sense of precision, elegance, and intention. The opening presentation was stunning, filled with an assortment of beautifully composed small bites featuring oyster, mushroom, sea bream, and a variety of other seasonal ingredients. Each bite felt delicate yet purposeful, showcasing both technical refinement and remarkable balance. One of the most memorable dishes of the evening was the bluefin tuna moriawase paired with strawberries. Normally, fruit in savory dishes tends to feel distracting or overly sweet to me, but the execution here was exceptional. The chefs managed to create a harmony between sweetness, tartness, acidity, and umami that elevated the tuna rather than overshadowing it. It was a dish that felt thoughtful, restrained, and incredibly well composed. The consistency throughout the progression of the menu was equally impressive. Course after course arrived with meticulous presentation and a strong sense of identity. Every dish felt polished and intentional, balancing visual artistry with flavors that were equally compelling. There was never a moment where the meal lost momentum, and the pacing allowed each course to feel distinct while still contributing to a cohesive experience. That said, there was one course that completely missed the mark for our group. The milk and honey dessert, which resembled a sponge cake topped with a whipped goat cheese foam, was overwhelmingly pungent and difficult to approach as a dessert course. The intensity of the goat cheese dominated every other component, to the point where it felt less like a composed dessert and more like being punched by a goat farm. Looking around the dining room, it seemed we were not alone in our reaction. Interestingly, when we mentioned that this was the only dish we did not enjoy, we were told, "if at least 1 out of 10 guests enjoy it, we consider it a win." It was certainly an unexpected response, especially given how polished and thoughtful the rest of the experience had been. Even with that misstep, the overall meal was exceptional. SingleThread succeeds in delivering a dining experience that feels elegant, immersive, and deeply personal. Between the artistry of the presentations, the balance of flavors, and the technical execution across the menu, it remains one of the most impressive three Michelin star experiences in California.

There were amenities including a gym, pool, and spa. We didn't get to try the restaurant. While the hotel was nice, the price does leave something to be desired. The hotel charges premium prices comparable to what you'd pay for many upscale hotels but did not quite hit the mark. Again, it was a nice hotel but not nearly at the level of premium level hotels like Ritz or Park Hyatt. We really enjoyed our stay here but I'm not sure I'd stay again at the current price point.
