During the safety inspection they found a few major items that needed to be fixed. They kept me appraised of the individual issues, what my options and what the costs were. They took the time to explain what was wrong and what the repairs meant as I am not mechanical. I highly recommend Rincon (repair technicians) and both Kevin and Tom are exceptional in their knowledge and customer service. I have called from Montana, Georgia, North Sydney (Nova Scotia, CA) and Sault Ste. Marie (Ontario, CA) on various cross country trips and they have been able to advise me what to do - Kevin even looked up and found out the DEF sensor was still under warranty by Cummins and that saved us over $1,800 in repairs costs.

I hired this company to diagnose an issue with my RV slide and paid $200 for the service call…read more Their conclusion was that the motors needed to be replaced, and I was told they would follow up with a quote for parts and labor. Instead, I contacted BAL, the manufacturer of the slide system, directly. BAL recommended a retrofit repair kit as the proper fix, which I purchased myself for $160. That kit includes two new motors. Once I had the OEM-recommended parts, I asked this company for a labor-only quote. After multiple follow-ups, they declined to even provide one, stating their technician "has not had good luck" with these retrofit kits and that they were not comfortable performing the repair. That's the part I find most frustrating. The retrofit kit still involves replacing the same motors they originally diagnosed as failed. If they were not comfortable performing the manufacturer-recommended repair, that should have been disclosed upfront -- before I paid for a diagnosis and spent time sourcing the solution myself. I appreciate their honesty in ultimately admitting their limitations, but that honesty came after the fact, not before. In the end, I paid $200, got no repair, no quote, and no clear path forward until I handled it myself. Future customers should ask upfront whether the technician is experienced with their specific slide system and whether they are willing to quote labor separately before paying for a diagnosis.

We also spent a lot on this initial service, but we felt very satisfied with the quality of work done and overall value. Jeff and his team know what they are doing, and they do a very professional job. He gives good advice on what is and is not a good idea to fix/alter, and he is very customer oriented, making sure things are clean and working as they should, and even threw in complimentary items during the service like a replacement cover for our awning arm he happened to have, moving my fridge to gain a storage space for my long pans, adjusting my shaky rear view mirror, etc. The quality of the work here is great, everything works well and I like that he did some more service items that were really needed (!) like flush my hot water tank- it was so full of white scale! He also works with the insurance companies to fix things that are under warranty and makes it happen in a reasonable amount of time, as much as he can control. We were looking for a good RV service provider for our "new" RV since we plan to keep it for a long time. We definitely have found that service partner here in Jeff's group. They are so knowledgeable and experienced, and he is so reasonable and easy to work with. We highly recommend this business and will definitely use it in the future. Note: If you have to wait for an appointment, it's worth it. The business is popular for a reason, and it's not like other places you hear about where they keep your rig for months and leave you hanging. The entire system indeed, needed replacement! Capistrano Air came in at an honest quote and it was quite a bit less than a prior company's estimate, yet Capo. Air would be providing us with top-of-the- line equipment! Installation was scheduled and took place in less than a week. Shane and his crew were punctual, immediately set to work on removing the old, large heating system and outdoor unit, and worked tirelessly all day! We were constantly informed of each step - where the routing of tubing within the garage would be placed with attachment to the outside unit, and where its' location had to be, etc.. At completion, the system was tested, along with our Venstar thermostat - all functioned perfectly, and the property was left in impeccable condition! Sandy Vans to the Rescue!…read more So... my original awning decided to pick a fight with the wind. The wind won. Turns out my Exclusive Outfitters-built Sprinter van had a VERY heavy electric Dometic awning supported by only TWO mounting brackets. And just to make things more interesting, those brackets were attached with riv-nuts drilled into the corner of my roof--which also happens to be a pop-top. I'm no engineer, but a giant heavy awning + two brackets + a pop-top roof apparently wasn't the winning combination we all hoped for. Enter Sandy Vans. I live in San Diego and needed a replacement awning ASAP because we're leaving for Utah in a couple of days. I contacted Sandy Vans and had an awesome experience from the very beginning. I spoke with Cindy two days in a row, and she was fantastic--super helpful, courteous, patient, and accommodating. When I came in to pick up the awning, if she didn't know the answer to one of my questions, she didn't just shrug and send me on my way. She immediately found someone who did. That kind of customer service goes a long way. Then came Braden. Also extremely helpful and accommodating. He handled my purchase and even gave me his cell number so I could text him if I decided to install the awning myself and needed some technical support. He did briefly mistake my Sprinter for a Ford Transit... I'll forgive him. My van has a pop-top, so it doesn't look like the 9-foot-tall Sprinter skyscrapers that make up about 90% of camper vans these days. Then Brian came out from the shop and actually took the time to look over my van and roof rack to figure out how I could mount the new awning. He gave me several ideas, explained different options, and made the whole project seem doable. Sandy Vans offered to install it, but apparently I enjoy making my life more difficult, so I decided to tackle the installation myself with a good friend. About 2.5 hours, some cutting, grinding, a few choice words directed at the old mounting brackets, and probably a questionable amount of confidence later... NEW AWNING INSTALLED! What impressed me most about Sandy Vans was that they were helpful even after realizing I might not be paying them to do the installation. They still took the time to answer questions, look at my setup, offer advice, and make themselves available if I ran into problems. That says a lot about a business. I highly recommend Sandy Vans for their customer service, knowledge, courtesy, availability, and willingness to actually help their customers. Cindy, Braden, and Brian were all great to deal with. Now hopefully this awning and the Utah wind can maintain a respectful relationship.

I finally got around to reaching out to Sandy Vans to see about getting a replacement and was told that "this item is outside of their return window" (which is 30 days) but they could offer me $50 off towards a new $200 bug screen.. which seems silly considering the first one fell apart. I'm not sure about their other products, but the bug screens are garbage! I declined their pitiful offer of $50 off a new one and told them I'd purchase from a company with a more durable product. I'd recommend anyone else thinking about buying this product do the same!

They had a look at my water heater and determined it needed to be replaced. We had been wanting to get a new tankless water heater for quite some time but my husband wanted to wait until we were in need of replacing our current hot water heater tank. Steve gave us a quote for replacing our current 75 gallon water heater with a tankless Navien model that would go in our garage in the same place as our old water heater. The price was fair and we agreed to go with the work. Later that morning Efficient Plumbing ordered our tankless water heater, delivered it, removed our old water heater and installed the new tankless water heater for us. They did an amazing job with all the necessary modifications to make the conversion from tank to tankless and we were thrilled with the end result. We now have endless hot water that we once never had. Efficient Plumbing has once again came to our rescue when we have been in need of a plumber! They are the best plumbers and I will continue working with them on any future projects or improvements that we may need.

A few weeks ago we woke up to find a bubble in our dining room ceiling from water that had been…read morefilling up while we were asleep! This is any homeowners nightmare and I called Efficient Plumbing right away. We have used them for many years and sadly this wasn't our first water leak. Evelin answered the phone and walked me through on how to shut the water off to the house immediately to stop the water damage. Hector came out within the hour and got to work diagnosing our issue. He is knowledgeable and very experienced and we always feel like we are in good hands. Our ceiling was opened and it turned out to be a copper pin hole leak on the water line in the ceiling above the dining room that feeds our master bathroom. Hector skillfully repaired the water leak and also advised us to consider a whole house repipe since this was not our first leak. They gave us their estimate the same day for the whole house repipe and even offered to credit the repairs made with Hector towards the repipe which was a big help. We decided to move forward and had them repipe our whole house the following week. They got it done in one day and everything went great! A few days later the drywall was patched up and we were all done! There are many many plumbers in our area but after years of consistent quality workmanship and customer service, I only use and trust Efficient Plumbing.

It has been a while since I was actually glad to review a great service. Martin worked on a few repairs for me for both my RV and Trailer, he was very knowledgeable about all That I needed done. He also noticed a few things I had not seen. This actually saved me some money as I would have had to replace the whole appliance and have had to make larger repairs. He's very friendly and actually interacted with me, as other people I've dealt with, often make it feel as if I didn't know anything about repairs. He worked on a few electrical problems and generator, as well as both my heating and cooling unit, he also worked on a few cosmetic details and did an EXELENT job on a fiberglass repair. I recommend him to anyone that is looking for an honest RV tech that won't over charge you and will do great repairs, at a decent cost. I can't begin to recommend these guys enough! Just bought a new conversion van and needed it checked up for a road trip. Martin and Manny were SUPER thorough checking on the car, they gave me a comprehensive list and estimate of what they'd recommend to be fixed and updated and were so incredibly helpful and accommodating. The work got done in record time and definitely more than satisfactory. They even took time to explain some things about my car that weren't on the list. (And helped me out when there was some problem resulting from a different mechanic) If I could rate them I'd give them an A++. Reasonably affordable and ridiculously kind and helpful. This guy gets it. He knows how limited my time is, how limited our time is to enjoy our toys. When i do have the chance to get out and run around in my rig i need it to be tip top. Martin makes that happen for me. I got his number from an older couple who overheard me asking advice in a local parts store. The gentleman said "call my guy, he'll take care of you" and Martin did. It was a Friday afternoon and broken refrigerator. He made the time for me, worked his magic and the family got to have their ice cream sundays on Sunday. Since then he has done a bunch of work on my baby, except for the batteries. Martin told me not to waste my money, the batteries were fine, only needed a few new cables. My Dutchmen Voltage toyhauler list it's breaks on the way home from a trip. I called my long time mobile repair guy that I like and trust but he never called me back. I found Martin on a google search and his reviews are great so I called and set up an appointment, Martin has great communication skills and I never felt like I've been forgotten! The reviews are all true, Martin knows his stuff! I have a shaved ice truck and the shaver suddenly stopped working in the middle of an event. (Not good in my business!) After hours of troubleshooting on my own, he was able to diagnose the problem and have it fixed within two hours. From one small business owner to another, he understood the importance of getting my truck operational again. He talked me through everything and made some great suggestions for improvements and upgrades. He's now my go-to guy for all future repairs and maintenance. We're new to the rv world and if not for Martin we would have no idea what we're doing. He inspected, fixed up and explained every little detail about our newly bought used travel trailer and prepared us for our first roadtrip. Martin is great, caches everything (he's very detailed) and is reasonable in his pricing. I had a generator that needed a complete rebuild and couldn't find anyone to do it. I contacted Martin and arraigned to drop the truck off. He took care of the problem with the generator and noticed a few other things that had been missed by my regular truck mechanic. He was great from start to finish and I will take more work to him in the future. read more

About 2 months ago, Shawn serviced my 5th wheel for water heater maintenance as well as a heater related issue. He was on time, respectful of my time, extremely communicative and proved to be highly trustworthy. Shawn handled the water heater related issue quickly, efficiently and smoothly. The heater turned out to be a bit more of a headache. But Shawn handled it like a true professional at all times. He worked to diagnose the issues with the heater, but had to return another day to complete the repair. Based on my intial interaction with Shawn the first day, I had absolutely no problem allowing him to further repair my trailer while I was at work. Shawn was able to complete the repair, completely cleaned up his work area in my living area, and provided video and audio proof that he had completed the repair. Shawn charged me a reasonable price to maintenance and repair my trailer. Let's me be clear. It was reasonable and appropriate NOT cheap. We all know we get what we pay for and this is especially true for mechanics and professional tradesman. Bottom line is Shawn is 100% trustworthy, his pricing is appropriate for the service quality and service call, and he can be counted on to get the job done correctly when the job is complete. I will call Shawn again when I need him. But he even gave me tips and educated me on the maintenance of my trailer so I can save myself some money in the future. Thank you Shawn. For example, he knew that the water pressure at Newport Dunes is really strong and that could be part of the problem with a water leak in the RV. I will definitely use them to all my future RV repair needs.

We also spent a lot on this initial service, but we felt very satisfied with the quality of work done and overall value. Jeff and his team know what they are doing, and they do a very professional job. He gives good advice on what is and is not a good idea to fix/alter, and he is very customer oriented, making sure things are clean and working as they should, and even threw in complimentary items during the service like a replacement cover for our awning arm he happened to have, moving my fridge to gain a storage space for my long pans, adjusting my shaky rear view mirror, etc. The quality of the work here is great, everything works well and I like that he did some more service items that were really needed (!) like flush my hot water tank- it was so full of white scale! He also works with the insurance companies to fix things that are under warranty and makes it happen in a reasonable amount of time, as much as he can control. We were looking for a good RV service provider for our "new" RV since we plan to keep it for a long time. We definitely have found that service partner here in Jeff's group. They are so knowledgeable and experienced, and he is so reasonable and easy to work with. We highly recommend this business and will definitely use it in the future. Note: If you have to wait for an appointment, it's worth it. The business is popular for a reason, and it's not like other places you hear about where they keep your rig for months and leave you hanging. If they are waiting for a part, they call you when it comes in and take care of you when you bring your RV back in.

I called Paul and we scheduled an appointment for two weeks out. I got a call a couple of days later that he would be passing by Laguna Woods and could stop by and look at the unit. He was able to determine the problem and said he would have the new motor to replace on our pre-scheduled appointment. Paul also did a couple of other minor repairs on our RV. Both times Paul said he would meet me at the entrance to our RV lot and he was there prior to the time he had stated. Paul is punctual, professional, and reasonable in his rates. I will be using him again when needed.
