The pho game in the city has definitely gotten bigger and better over the years and this new spot we checked out fit the bill. The broth here was literally liquid gold and it had a decent ratio of noodles, meats, and toppings. Its fairly small but has a decent amount of seating. It also was empty when we dropped by (Saturday lunch). Still a really great spot for a quick bite in the area. Note: they have customer parking at 500 Doris Dr! Just enter the roundabout at the condo entrance, use the callbox to contact security, and let them know you're visiting The Saigon Pho & Grill.

The SaiGon has excellent broth. I got the spicy peanut flavored broth with beef and beef balls. It was delicious, though the peanut flavour was quite dull. The portion sizes are huge and definitely quite filling for just one person. The service was quick and we barely had to wait for our food. The ambiance was peaceful and casual. It did get quite busy, but we were seated right away.

Maybe I came on a bad day because i heard really good things about this place but a little disappointed. I ordered the special like any other pho spot and as soon as I tasted the soup, I knew this was going to be good. However, as I kept going I could not help but notice the lack of tendon and beef tripe that you commonly get at any pho restaurant. The beef tendon is like the treasure and what I look forward to near the end of my bowl! But yes everything else was great like the soup broth, the beef balls, the brisket and noodles were all on point. We were also going to try the deep fried wontons but were unfortunately sold out and probably because they were really worth it compared to the other apps. ($8 for 2 spring rolls?) Service was great as well, the waitress was friendly and came to check on us if everything was good. Same with the ambiance, decently decorated to have that authentic Vietnamese feel with the rice hats on the walls. Would I come here again? Maybe if I happen to be in the area. There are other pho spots that I still crave for after going many times. I might have to share them.

Came shortly after the restaurant opened for business, and there was already a good number of customers during dinner time. Clean, well decorated, and spacious. Nice washroom also. Menu is very diverse, featuring bowls of pho or bun, plates of grilled meat with rice, a variety of appetizers, and a selection of Vietnamese drink options. Prices on average are a bit lower here as well, which is a plus! Their daily limited special pho comes with beef brisket and rib, so if that's something you're interested in, best to go earlier or call ahead to check if it's still in stock. The one thing that stood out the most for me was the broth. It had a strong flavour that gets offset by the rest of the noodles and meat, and I finished the entire bowl. It's nice to have more Vietnamese options around Yonge and Finch!

Checked out SaiGon Pho & Grill in North York during their first week of opening. For a new spot, they were off to a pretty solid start. I had the pho with ribs and brisket - the broth was flavorful and comforting, and the meats were tender and well-cooked. Also tried the spring rolls, fried wontons, and fried chicken wings - all came out hot and crispy, no complaints there. The platter was a standout: grilled pork, sugarcane shrimp, pork sausage, grilled beef, fresh veggies, rice paper, and vermicelli. Great for sharing or if you just want to try a bit of everything. Tried the Thai iced tea too, but it was a bit bland - could use more depth or sweetness. Their pork chop rice was a bit dry and not as tender as I would like. Service was friendly, and everything came out quickly. The staff came to check up on the food at our table a few times throughout the night. The place has a clean, no-frills vibe. I'll definitely come back once they've settled in a bit more.

The Saigon Pho and grill, they are at the location where Sansotei North York is located. Second day of their opening. Ambiance is typical of pho places but comfy overall. Service, they are friendly but since they are new, might repeat your order to ensure they got it correct. I ordered the Phở tái nạm Pho with Rare Beef & Brisket. I added $5 for a sugar cane shrimp, it's quite tasty and a little larger and different from other pho restaurants. The brisket was soft and a good thickness. I like their broth, flavourful yet you won't be super thirsty after. The lemon ice tea was very refreshing. Overall, great addition to the neighbourhood.

Cute little spot off of Yonge street. A little hidden but it's a good spot for a quick lunch. Not a big menu but it has all you need for Lunch or dinner. Service was quick and good.

Their appetizer platter was massive and fun to make. The wings were just mid but their rice dishes were tasty and delicious! Overall, the dishes are flavorful and rich, especially the signature pho. Also, despite the crowd, our orders came so quick, and it's unbelievable.

The food was amazing as expected and so was the service. The service was fast and very helpful. But honestly I been going there for the last few days and one thing, a person has truly brought colour to this place. A girl so beautiful you can mistake her for a angel she looks so heavenly and sweet, I think she the real reason I go back everyday, she always there sitting in the corner in her own little world it's so adorable especially those small little smiles of hers . I seen her make drinks so she definitely a worker there, she makes that place look so lively it's truly blows me away that a girl like that exists. A girl so rich in her outfits and clearly a woman with wonderful taste in food. If I come back and she there I could eat for hours, she is so memorizing to the eye, idk how I can describe it. I recall her saying her name was Alice. Such a beautiful angel in a place so close to heaven this place is a dream,10/10 recommendation

La Sen has a beautiful interior and decent amount of seating for its smallish space. Service was good - things came quickly and they seem to have quite a few unique items on the menu. Beef salad - really refreshing and flavorful salad. Had a bit of spicy kick on the beef which was really nice with the other fresh vegetables. Wine braised pho hotpot - I really enjoyed this hotpot - even more so than their typical pho. You can get unlimited soup refills too which is great. Broth is light yet flavorful. Pho - decided to try their "regular " pho which has a bit more herbal notes than their hotpot. It's not bad but I could see some of the herbal/spice undertones being off putting to some. Stret style platter - lots of good, great variety, very fresh. Loved this dish - getting to make your own customized roll is worth it. Durian crema coffee - an interesting that I've never seen. It's line a typical coffe but a large and thick layer of durian foam layer on top of the coffee. Price: A bit higher than other pho places but well worth trying

I will say that the server was so kind and when she heard we were watching our salt intake, she offered to make our broth less salty. They were still tasty but less salty. We were so pleased! The beef pho has a good portion of meat and there was lots of seafood in the tom yum soup. The large spring rolls had many rolls! Fresh and delicious! We walked in and were greeted by a friendly few staff members who showed us to our table. The decor inside was modern, it was clean and the ambiance was great. As soon as we sat down we were brought hot drinks of our choice to warm us up. It took a while before we settled on our meal choices after much discussion. We have some vegetarians and some non-vegetarians in our family so it was nice to see that vegetarians could be accommodated here. All of the meals turned out to be very tasty from our appetizers to our mains. Spring Rolls** were crispy, tasty and served with a sweet-spicy sauce. These were the outstanding showstoppers of the entire meal or at least a few of us agreed that they were our favourite choice. Vegetarian Cold Rolls (small) were crunchy, refreshing and served with a peanut sauce with roasted peanuts on top. I was told that my homemade version of vegetarian cold rolls was even better than the restaurant version since I include more tofu but this restaurant version came in a close second place. Stir-fried Vegetables with Tofu and Steamed Rice was very super flavourful, as was the veggie soup broth. The main vegetarian dish had a bit of kick to it, lots of black pepper, and a tangy spicy taste which was almost too spicy for one family member's simple palate. Nothing a bowl full of rice couldn't fix. What would make it a 5 star rating would be if they had included a bit more tofu, otherwise it was a very good dish. Grilled Pork Chop with Rice was wonderfully delicious. The veggies made the dish eye catching. The flavour packed broth was delightful. It was served with a drizzle of oil of green onions which when combined with freshly steamed rice make the perfect trifecta. Stir-Fry Rice Noodles with Seafood (which had squid, fish balls, shrimp and possibly scallops) was very well received by one hungry man. He didn't mind that the vegetarians had more veggies on their plates than him. Stir-Fry Rice Noodles* with Vegetables had a great colourful presentation and tasted very good, according to another. Once again their only other comment about the dish was that they wished there was more tofu in it. What would make it a 5 star rating would be if they had included a bit more tofu, otherwise it was also a good dish. The staff were more than accommodating to the requests of grandparents who needed to relocate tables to stay warm during this cold winter season. My family very much appreciated our visit to this restaurant. Fantastic hospitality. Great service and friendly personable staff.

Disco lighting fixtures and a tucked away stage lend the space an unexpected theatricality, as though it were built for celebration rather than mere sustenance. We ordered their most popular beef rib pho. In terms of meat, I don't know if we got the scraps, but we had a huge additional bowl with a bone of tendon. I love tendon. While the meat on the ribs are a bit more skimp than other places I've had maybe because it's whatever they have left. But I didn't mind since they added ample amount of tendon! You either love it or hate it, but I love tendon and we ordered this specifically because they mentioned they will add a bone of tendon. Not sure if it's in all bowls or just what they had left. It was certainly worth the money with the offer. While we picked and cut away all the tender tendon pieces, there are some connective tendon pieces that are still bit stiff, I mean I try to pressure cook it bit more later along with my ingredients when I got home to get the adjoining tendons between the bones and made another collagen rich soup / broth. We also ordered a broken rice dish with chicken and it was good too. We had a lot of leftovers and the next day the soup broth did thicken up indicating a good amount of bone broth. Overall service was great and they even had the FIFA game playing on the screen. Definitely a spot we'll add to our rotation.
