The BROOKLYNERS Reggae band, Sunday at Sailhouse!! - 8/17/2025
    Cam E.

We were at Sailhouse on this warm sultry August evening for the fabulous Reggae band - The Brooklyners, and to enjoy the fun outdoor Tiki Bar serving yummy potent Frozen Margaritas & Frozen Piña Coladas! The Tiki menu includes Smash Burgers, Lobster Rolls, Hot Dogs, Fries, Chips + Guacamole. The waitstaff is wonderful! Sailhouse's Pier location has Live Music 5PM to 8PM. The indoors has a more formal menu and Reservations are required. Parking can be challenging on weekends. Enjoy the views of the Tapan Zee bridge & Palisades on the Hudson River as you get your groove on. Irie! Yah mon. Life is good! Cheers!

Sailhouse has one thing going for it and that's the view. Right on the waterfront in Tarrytown, overlooking the Cuomo Bridge, it's definitely a spot you come to for the scenery. Food-wise... not so much. The oysters weren't fresh, which was a letdown, and the macaroni and cheese just didn't hit. I ordered a blueberry lemonade thinking it would be refreshing, but they didn't strain the fruit so every sip was full of pulp. The highlight of the service was our waitress, Ava--it was her first day and she was super sweet. She was great about handling the oyster situation and even brought us another round of drinks to make up for it. If you're in the area, I'd say stop here for a drink and take in the views, but skip the food. There's actually a tiki bar right next door with music and games that has the same beautiful waterfront setting, and honestly, I'd recommend grabbing a cocktail there instead.

This is such a beautiful scenic place. We went to try the igloo that they offer and have to say was very cozy and comfortable in there. It was a little cold but they have an electric fire pace along with a heater for us to stay warm. They even provide a small speaker to listen to music and you connect with your blue tooth. The server and ambiance was amazing. They drink weren't bad just could have been a little stronger but overall we had such a good time .The lobster roll is a must try. Delicious

Rock out with live bands at 7 pm on Friday nights (other nights to see the website) and a choice of sitting indoors or outdoors in the riverfront Sailhouse restaurant or at the adjacent Tiki Bar. Self serve bar and food @ the Tiki bar hut with metal tables with umbrellas. About a dozen items on the menu - burgers, chicken sandwich, lobster rolls, fries. Or you can eat at the Sailhouse with a bigger menu with glasses, utensils and cloth napkins and wait service. The food: excellent smash burgers cooked to order and very good fries (not enough), tender flavored blackened salmon wrap with BLT stuffing was very tasty. Bang bang shrimp tacos 3 per order were excellent- tender shrimp, nice mildly spicy sauce. Cold large Guinness and their own 16 oz Sailhouse lager, Chardonnay and non alcoholic beer - all served in cold glasses. We indulged in a warm fudge brownie with excellent rich vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Coffee with a nice snifter of sambuca and excellent double espresso. When we arrived the Hawthorne band was just setting up. When we left the whole tiki bar area was wall to wall people dancing and drinking. Add in the boats on the river, jet skiing, a dozen paddle boarders and the colorful Tappan zee lights and the whole Sailhouse experience was awesome. The only complaint (no 5th star) was the loud piped in music from the outdoor speakers. It made it hard to talk, until the manager turned it down. The band volume was fine. A winning waterfront experience.

On a hot summer afternoon in Tarrytown this was the perfect place to pull up a chair at the bar and toast to summer! Located on the Hudson River with a spectacular view of the former "Tappan Zee Bridge," (1955 - 2017), now called "The Gov. Cuomo Bridge," after a remodel. You can enjoy food and drinks on the back patio, drinks only by the outdoor bar or sit inside for full service. Your choice! Today I grabbed a few seats by the bar with my old time friend from the area and had the pleasure of being served by John & Julia! Great lively crowd inside. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. We both ordered the "Le Mone" which was Prosecco with Lemone & Club Soda. So light and refreshing on this very hot day. For Food: ~Chicken Quesadilla w/Pico de Gallo, Guacamole, & sour cream! Muy Deliciosa! Not a crumb was left! ~The Chicken Caesar Salad also a hit! We sat at the bar for a few hours and no one bothered us! The entire staff were very friendly which is always a plus for this Yelper! *Free parking in the lot - once it fills up you may have to pay to park in the lot next door but it's not expensive *Amazing view of the water & bridge *On the water *Outdoor patio w/full service *Outdoor Bar/patio - only drinks

Came here for a friend's bday party. The place has such an amazing view of the bridge and the Hudson River. The fish tacos were good and the fries were very good! Wish there was a little more of a brunch menu. Overall no complaints, staff was super friendly and making sure the tables were balanced and that we all had cold water as it was a hot day on the patio. (Def bring sunscreen if you plan to be out here in the sun!)

Wow! What a great place. A group of us came here for dinner and were seated by the water. Beautiful view of the bridge and there was even a sailboat! There was a solo performer singing and strumming the guitar. Lovely. We got a bunch of appetizers to start. The crabcake was so good. The coconut shrimp was perfect. Plenty to share. We also got the guacamole which was great. We also got oysters which I did not have but they were gobbled up! The quesadillas were a nice size for an appetizer. Plenty to share with those as well. I got the crunchy fish tacos. Three nice sized tacos. I could only eat two and I gave the other one away. I also tried their Brooklyn brewery beer which was really good. The service was top-notch!

Only thing somewhat nice was the view, but with the loud boats it's hard to enjoy yourself

The restaurant even though had lots of open tables stated since we didn't have a reservation we could not be seated. They do offer outside seating with a walkup bar and select food outside. You can order restaurant food but it comes in to go containers. We paid 38 dollars for a lobster roll. It tasted like imitation crab we all got a sour stomach after eating it. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Food was so good but service was very very slow. It's also pretty pricey due to location and gorgeous view. Be prepared to spend a lot and take your time.

Fun place to go for trivia night! I think it's every Thursday. Really yummy drinks. I got the Moscow mule and it was so tasty. The outside is also so cute I can see it being the spot to go during the summer. The staff was very nice and professional. Easy going when you want to ask questions about the menu.

View better than the food, I think. We were meeting friends whose eating patterns are different from ours. They're definitely carnivorous and we're definitely not. My one friend really did enjoy her meal. She had the coconut shrimp appetizer and then a lovely salad. Her husband, who likes his steak, only had ribeye on the bone which he doesn't prefer. So he got the double smashburger; said it was okay. I ordered the diavolo seafood linguine. I must note that it was loaded with seafood: 6 or 7 mussels, 6 or 7 shrimp, and some calamari. I like spicy, and told that to our server. I guess because for some strange reason they make diavolo as a cream sauce, it just wasn't very spicy; a taste here and there of a garlicky spice. My husband doesn't want spice and asked if they could make the diavolo with a marinara sauce instead; she said sure! But it came out with a cream sauce; they took it back and subsequently did send it out with the requested sauce. He liked it but didn't love it. Again, in their defense there was plenty of seafood. The view overlooking the Hudson River, just north of the new Tappan Zee Bridge, is stunning, and we were there just as the sun was setting. Convenient to the Tarrytown MetroNorth station.

My husband & I celebrated our three year anniversary in the area and were originally going to go elsewhere originally, but were in a bit of a time crunch for Pumpkin Blaze. Glad we changed our minds and wound up down by the Hudson. I had looked this restaurant up the day before, but the menu is slightly limited. The views are gorgeous, the staff was very pleasant and helpful, and the food was great. I ordered the mussels, it was an appetizer but it was a perfect size since I wasn't starving. I wanted to bottle up the white cream sauce it came in. My husband had a smash burger, also said it was good. Would definitely revisit next time we're in the area.

I'd like to write a stellar review of last night's dining experience at The SailHouse, Tarrytown, NY. Every aspect of our dining experience was memorable: The wait staff were charming, knowledgeable and timely. The oysters were "bright"! As if they were just harvested from the shores of Montauk Point and shucked! Simply outstanding. My salad greens tasted just picked with a perfect blend of tart, sweetness & salt that comprised the dressing. The wine list was on point! The "comped" music experience by Pennsylvania musician, Doug Kaetz, was a lovely way to relax after supping with joy filled friends. Finally, Labor Day evening's bartender made me feel like he cared about me! I initially discovered The SailHouse at my 44th Irvington High School Reunion. I came back "Columbus Day Monday" with some gentleman from Savanna, Georgia. Many thanks. We were all pleased with the dining experience. Bravo! Cheers, Evelyn Augusto Massachusetts
