Found this gem in our area and overall enjoyed it. We made a reservation for day before mother's day at dinnertime and it was fairly crowded before the holiday. There were plenty of street parking outside. The place is on the smaller side and can get pretty loud when there's a lot of people, but overall nice environment. The service I would say is on the slower side, but seems like there is only one waitress to serve the entire place. She moved fast from table to table and we had to make several attempts before we were able to get her attention in a relatively noisy setting. The food was great! Definitely comparable to some other expensive French places in the city and you are getting more for the price you are paying. We love the cozy and solid cooking style. The chicken liver and beef tartare were delicious, so were the endives. For the entrees, we liked them but the sauce in the steak wasn't really my style, that being said the steak was cooked very well so if you liked the flavor of the sauce, this would be the perfect dish for you. Overall loved the place and would definitely be coming again!!

I came here with some coworkers for a holiday dinner. I made the resy for 8P, and we were seated upstairs. It felt like we reserved the entire upstairs because it was completely empty, except for us. I loved that. The entire upstairs is adorned with wine bottles in the walls. It looks very chic. We started with drinks, oysters, warm bread, butter and cornichons. They have a three-course, pre-fixe, menu of the day, from which most of us ordered. I loved the mushroom bisque. They were unfortunately out of the fish of the day, cod, but we were able to order their trout from the regular menu. It was very good. We ended the night with profiteroles, crème brûlée, chocolate mousse, and espresso martinis. The staff was very accommodating. We literally closed the place down. It was hard to guess being, upstairs and away from everyone. When we first arrived, the place was packed. When we left, it was completely empty. The guys were very understanding, although, I'm sure they were waiting for us to skidaddle so that they could get home. They never made us feel as though we were a bother. It was a first for my office, to have this kind of outing, and I enjoyed myself, immensely. I will definitely be back here for a date night with hubby, or a girls' night with some friends. It feels like old Westchester, and I love these little places that make you feel tranformed back in time, when walking in.

I'm not sure why this restaurant only has 3.5 stars. The food was phenomenal. The service was also top notch. We came for restaurant week. Thursdays they allow no corkage fees which is INCREDIBLE. They even allowed it if you were participating in restaurant week. The escargots were delicious. The oysters were top notch and came with freshly ground horseradish. WHAT?! I've had an uncountable amount of oysters in my life and never had freshly ground horseradish. The gnocchi Parisienne and the sauciesse were phenomenal . I'm so glad my husband and I split them because there's no way I could decide between the two. If you're getting dessert get the mousse! And if going for an after dinner drink get the Hemingway ;) We will definitely be back! Please don't ever take away the free corkage fee Thursdays!!!!

Went there for the first time , sat outside since it was nice ... Was getting busy on a Friday night . The food I must say was so so ...service was good .. The beef tartare, escargot, trout & mussels had better ones ... only thing which thought was good was the bread n butter ! Think I would like to see more menu items to go back again

We met my brother and sister in law here for the last day of HV restaurant week. I brought two bottles of Burgundy to pair with dinner ($25 corkage each). It's a cozy place, we were seated upstairs on the wine room which has a lovely atmosphere of a classical French Bistro. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. My wife started with a fresh Apple & Endive salad with walnuts, Roquefort cheese and crème fraiche. Delicious. I went for the Mousse de Foie Volaille with toasted sourdough points. This was so rich and decadent. For dinner she got the Flat Iron steak Au Poirve that was cooked to perfection and just flat out delicious. I opted for the Beef Bourguignon. This just melted in your mouth. Sooo good. For dessert she got the Crème Brûlée which was fantastic and I got the chocolate Mousse which was probably the best one I've had outside of France. Overall a spectacular evening. Witt no corkage Thursdays I think we will make a regular trip down there for dinner.

GET THE FRENCH ONION SOUP!!!!!! Omg so good!! The pâté insane too!!! So tasty... the ambiance takes the cake .. where else can you get a beautiful view like this on the water but also a nice cool dinner vibe ... and after you can get a drink at the pub next door if ya want. I'd go back and good service too !!!

So I usually love love them and I still love the staff the food was ok the oysters where lacking flavor they served our entries before our appetizers when I said we haven't gotten our appetizers they took our entrees away when they brought our appetizers then entrees seems the entrees had been reheated still good but not superb .I still want to return because they have a great track record either me .

This is truly a five star place (please ignore disgruntled low ballers on here)! From the cozy, authentic atmosphere over the attentive service to the absolutely fantastic food - this place is incredible with very distinct European vibes. The three course menu (priced under $40) is a steal. I feel sorry I felt unsure about this place because of the low yelp rating. I am so glad we went to see for ourselves. Please go, you won't regret it and it is the closest experience you can have to actually sitting in a bistro in some French Quartier...

The brisket sandwich had succulent meat that fell apart amid a bed of cheddar and a honey barbecue sauce. The portions to me are kinda big so I ate half for lunch and the other for dinner.

After being greeted with a smile by Antonio one of the twin brothers who own the shop I ordered. The owners can't be nicer and show a real love of food. My wife got an eggplant wrap with roasted red peppers and I got the Roast Beast a roastbeef on garlic chiabatta, both were delicious. The eggplant paper thin and the housemade roastbeef rare and super tender. The sandwiches were very large, but after eating half we both continued to eat the whole sandwich. I also had their potato salad and this had the right consistency and seasoning. They also have some nice desserts, some homemade some from good sources. I asked about their breakfast being good, "i am making homemade English muffins for the morning" The tiny space with a few tables has Italian products that are well chosen breadsticks, pasta, etc. Oh the sandwiches come with your choice of flavors. We are no longer skeptical and will be back soon.

With both à la carte options and a $44 Prix Fixe menu, we went for the prix fixe -- and it was the best decision of the day. A truly enchanting brunch that felt as if we had slipped away to a cozy café in Paris. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, with live soft jazz music setting the perfect tone. The staff was warm and attentive, anticipating every need -- even the bread served with a luxurious French butter with black sea salt was top notch. No land Lake served on their tables. Cocktails Bloody Mary -- perfectly mixed, bright and briny with just the right touch of horseradish Peach Bellini -- light, fruity, and beautifully balanced Appetizers Salmon Tartare -- diced fresh tuna , with a vibrant pesto sauce, served with crisp baguette toasts. Not only did the food roll off my tongue, but it was a substantial first course. Hubby opted for the Soup du jour, a comforting individual tureen of butternut squash soup, delicately garnished with sunflower seeds -- savory with just a hint of sweetness, the perfect bowl for a cold, rainy day. I had a few spoonfuls and can agree it was delicious and warming. Entrées So many options I really had a tough time picking one. So many classic French dishes, but the buckwheat crepe won out. A SMOKED SALMON CREPE Filled with chopped salade, in a buckwheat crêpe, sunny up egg. Great to the last bite. Husband continued with a French theme steak sandwich with brie cheese, pickle shallots, aioli, and pomme frites Dessert Chocolate Mousse -- airy, rich, and deeply satisfying; the perfect sweet finish. The waiter comes over with a huge tureen of chocolate mousse and scoops out a huge amount of it to add in your dessert plate . Quite the presentation. Paired with after-dinner drinks, this brunch was a seamless blend of French elegance and warmth -- every bite, every note of music, every detail thoughtfully done. A truly delightful experience we can't wait to repeat.

The lighting is dim, the ambiance is intimate, and it looks romantic. I had made reservations so we were seated immediately. It's funny to note that the place settings were placed next to each other instead of across from each other at a four person table. We usually prefer to face each other, but when it's Valentine's day why not be cute? We ordered a few drinks during our dinner, the Sugar Plum Fairy, Memere 75, Avion en papier. My favorite was definitely the Avion en papier which had a slightly sweet, slightly bitter, citrusy taste. They had a pre fixe menu for Valentine's Day which unfortunately did not have the steak tartare i was interested in trying. But for $88, you get 3 courses: an appetizer, entree, and dessert. For our appetizers, we got the TARTARE DE THON (tuna tartare) and COCKTAIL DE CREVETTES GEANTES (shirmp cocktail). Between the two, i preferred the tuna tartare. The shrimp cocktail was good, but the only thing really special about it was the massive size of the shrimp and the freshly grated horseradish in the cocktail sauce. For our entrees, we got the CASSOULET DE CANARD and FILET MIGNON. The extremely tender duck leg confit was served with pancetta, white beans, toulouse sausage, and foie gras breadcrumb. It was rich, savory, fatty, and filling. All great words to describe food. The duck leg confit reminded me a little bit of a smoked turkey leg with the red coloring and shreddable texture. The filet mignon was served with pomme purée, wild mushrooms, and a bordelaise sauce. The filet was cooked medium rare as requested, but a bit under salted. The pomme purée aka mashed potatoes tasted like it was 50% butter so it was obviously delicious. Dessert was good, but my least favorite part of the meal. We got the TAHITIAN VANILLA CRÈME BRÛLÉE and the VALRHONA CHOCOLAT POT AU CRÈME. Both were very sweet. The brûlée crust did not shatter well, but it otherwise had a nice creamy texture. The chocolate pot was covered in flaky feuilletine which gave a nice contrast to the creamy chocolate, but my wife found the brandied cherries overpowering. The cherries made me think of German chocolate cake. Service was excellent. Staff was quick to refill water and checked on us constantly. Pace of the meal was relaxed and I'd even say they were slow to bring us the check since we had been dining for over 2 hours. My wife wants me to bring her back for their bottomless brunch on a Sunday so I will eventually be back.

It was my first time having escargot and I pity any other restaurant that may serve these to me moving forward. We were given extra bread just to make sure we could dip it in all of its garlicky, oily wonderfulness. The duck wings had a great Asian, sticky-wing type of flavor (another first for me) and the bone marrow just melted in your mouth. If you like the fatty part of the steak, say "yes" to the marrow. *chefs kiss* For entrees we had the chicken leg special, steak frite (you get a choice of cut) and the salmon. We were all just taking bites off of each other's plate all night. The gravy that came with the chicken special was perfect and paired amazingly with the crispy skin of the chicken. The steak; cooked PERFECTLY! (You see the pics!) & that salmon in the beurre blanc?! More perfection. Like the good children we are, we ate all our food and felt we deserved dessert. We ordered two apple tarts, which they outsource, and the crème brûlée. The apples were sweet and tender and I never have any bad words for crème brûlée . We also ended our evening with some cappuccinos and a healthy pour of amaro noninno; just devine. To top it all off, we noticed a DJ setting up towards the end of dinner service.
