This is a longer review as to why only one star…read more We are a family of 3 that had Allie cut our hair since the end of last Summer. Last time I was in, which was March 2018, Allie cut my hair so short that she didn't even want to charge me. It was the worst haircut experience I've ever had. It was well over a 2 hour haircut. I had to get the back of my head shaved because she went in and cut the top of my head at the back and sides so short. The worst part is I had no idea what had happened until I felt my head and then asked for a mirror to see the back of my head mid cut. All I could say was "Oh no, Allie what did you do"? She had cut the back top of my head SO short. Almost 3 inches was cut off and my hair was only 4 inches to begin with! : ( I did not ask for my hair to be cut that short. In fact, I told her when I first sat down in the chair that I didn't want it cut as short or as thinned out as the last time she cut it. I asked for some long layers to be put in and for the bottom to be cleaned up, around the ears trimmed & maybe a slight trim on my bangs. I even told Allie obviously I hadn't been in because I had to let it grow out for 5 MONTHS! So, she completely winds up butchering me, I pay in full even though she didn't want to charge me. I even give her a tip because I'm a nice woman. In the end, Allie was crying because she said that she was so nervous I wasn't going to be able to leave happy that day. That's how bad it was. Never did I get angry with her. I tried to keep as calm as possible to once again my head having to be shaved because she didn't listen to what I asked for and just going in on my hair and cutting so much of it off again. I did tell Allie that if she was to ever cut my hair that short again, obviously I wouldn't have her cut it anymore and neither would my son and my husband be coming back because that would be awkward. Fast forward to April 2018. I call to make an appointment to get the bottom back of my head and around my ears trimmed because it was cut SO short that it requires a bit of maintenance during the growing out part that I'm tired of doing myself because it's a pain. I'm told that they no longer want to service me anymore?!! Allie should have had the decency to just say she was too scared to cut my hair anymore because she messed up so badly. But for me to get treated like I did something wrong is just disgusting customer service. I unfortunately could not ever recommend going to Allie for a haircut. She is friendly and VERY talkative... which may be why my hair always winds up so short because she's talking too much and hasn't really remembered what I asked for. In fact, my husband wasn't that crazy about his haircuts either, and I honestly think his hair was cut too short by her too, which I even told Allie! So, after all these mentions to her about cutting hair too short, she still right off the bat cuts off 3 inches of my hair?? Allie actually told me that day when I left that she was happy she was able to at least get it to a stage that looked good and that I was happy with. I left dealing with it positively and trying to not make her feel too bad. I did wind up crying a bit because my hair was getting cut so short that I was even going to have to re-dye it dark again...not great because I was trying to grow my hair in a lighter shade than it currently is for summertime. Afterwards I felt like such a boy that I texted my husband asking if I could buy myself some pretty clothes. I wound up buying myself 5 maxi dresses in freezing cold March weather just to make myself feel pretty. That's not a good feeling. WAY too much drama and SHORT thinned out haircuts, so it's probably for the best I am going to somebody new. It's probably the universe actually helping me out!
