    $41 for all of this!

I love this place. Why? Because I am on a tight budget and I am super cheap. I'm not afraid to admit it. I have 8 mouths to feed (and that includes my 2 furbabies). Yes, some of the items are damaged and outdated. But they gaurantee their items and allow you to return any item you find less than satisfactory. I have only recently started coming here on a more regular basis. The wine selection is super cheap! Like 3$ a bottle! Cheese and sandwich meats are what I usually look for. Produce prices can't be beat, although you don't always find the produce you're looking for. My kids like coming here bc there is a section where you can make $3 or$5 grab bags full of snacks from bins filled with junk food (cookies, candy, chips, etc.) They even have a bin filled with gum that is 10 for $1. My youngest can't get enough of that. They also sell cat and dog food. Not sure of the brands but they look fancy. For the most part, most of everything I have bought is fine. Some stale things every now and then...I just return it. Staff is friendly and professional. Not everything is cheap. You will find some things either same price as regular stores and maybe even more (if a store like Winn Dixie does a bogo sale). They don't carry everything either. Its just whatever they get a deal on. Some of you may read this and be "Oh, its not for me!" But some of you may need the help and any easier way to keep within a budget. This is the way to go. Just this weekend they had a lot sale and I paid $41 for a whole basket full of food. Mostly snacks for when my son has friends over, but he is a big boy with a huge appetite and friends with equal appetites. So yeah...Im going to shop here from time to time.

This the place i do most of my shopping. Screw what people say about expiration dates. Youll be surprised at the super cheap prices youll pay hear for the same exact overpriced studf youll find at other groceries. I love coming here because of all the weird, hard to find & unique items youll end up find here. Theres basically new stuff everyday you come. For you health nuts, theres tons of fresh organic items, and you can get a 6 pack of craft beer for 3.99! Theres also a whole long wall of wine! This place is huge. Once you shop here you wont want to waste your money anywheres else. The staff & cashiers are very helpful and always greet you with a nice conversation. Come check this place out, i promise youll live.

You gotta come to fresh market on Thursdays for the $5 bistro meals!!! (Beware they do sell out of…read moresome items.) They also have a hot plate meal where you can get a rotisserie chicken, two sides, and 6 rolls - feed 4-6 people. (Perfect amount for 3 people sized family in my opinion.). Depends on the portion sizes your family eats. Either way, great last minute meal ideas after a long day of work. Or for your lunch break! The workers are all really polite here, but the checkout line is not fast so make sure to get a basket or cart to make waiting in line easier. It is always clean in here, and they always have lots of fresh produce. Plus a convenient parking lot.

This has always been my 'go to' specialty market in NOLA…read more The vibe is good, creative offerings and just a very pleasant, upscale place to shop. The staff, especially at checkout, always seem to be friendly and upbeat, which is nice. The pre-prepared foods, snacks, drink choices, bakery and deli are typically better than most, sometimes better than the larger Whole Foods on Magazine St. here. And, they have an amazing floral section at the back entrance. There's a convenient parking lot that wraps around the back and downtown side of the building, but the spaces can be tight, especially with a SUV size vehicle. This time I grabbed some coffee, bread, brownies, and wine. Unfortunately, I found many of the aisles and sections not stocked very well. The bakery section had very little product as did several other places. Just empty bins and shelves. Hmmmm? It is the beginning of Mardi Gras season so plenty of King Cake and specialty vodka. Nonetheless, I do like this store. Fun fact- this used to be the Bultman Funeral Home, in a classic building on the corner of St. Charles and Louisiana Streets. Yes, indeed, a mortuary as well.
