I donate often to Salvation Army so was glad to see this store recently open close to me, which will make providing donations easier than ever. My wife, who likes visiting a good thrift store now and then, wanted to check this place out and I decided to tag along. The first thing I noticed when walking through the door - no thrift store smell! Probably because it is still fairly new (as of this writing). Then I noticed how clean and organized it is. Probably 3/4 of the store is clothing. The rear area has some furniture, electronics, housewares, tableware, toys, books, DVDs, albums, and holiday items. My wife walked out with a couple of crystal vases at $2 each. Most prices are reasonable and we found the staff to be helpful, cheerful, and friendly.

Jeans were $8.99 - the day we went was additional 25% off so they were $6.74.

One of my kids and their friends, like going thrift shopping so I'm glad that this one opened up in FHR. We were driving down to the one between Lake Forest and El Toro which isn't far, but this is a more convenient location. We were actually at Mission Mall, when one of the kids sadly said they couldn't find anything and voiced that jeans they liked were $85 for one pair. I suggested this thrift store to them. At first they were super reluctant but I was able to eventually convince them. The Salvation Army in FHR, is located in the same plaza and parking lot section of Taco Bell. Just an FYI and I cannot stress this enough. THERE ARE NO RESTROOMS here. You will need to go to Taco Bell. So I suggest you go before you step inside to shop. I don't know if all Thrift stores are like this or not, but not having a restroom in my opinion, is extremely extremely inconvenient. Anyways, that's my venting for this review. Per the sign out front, they take donations during business hours at the back of the store. Walking inside, registers are to your right, accessories like shoes, purses, backpacks, etc, are to your left. Men's and kids wear to your left, women's to the right. Housewares and furniture in the back. The back section where housewares, kitchen supplies and furniture were located, was in a disarray. I've been to the other location several times, not once did that area look like the mess that was here at the FHR store. Not sure if they were short staffed or I just caught them at a bad time, but these shelves needed to be organized badly. Looking at it was too overwhelming that I stepped away and went back to the clothes. At least on the women's side, you can expect to find designer clothing just like other places, but the jeans...wow. You can find high end jeans in top condition or even unused. A lot of it though was a skinny fit which my kids weren't into. Either way, they each found about 4-5 pairs of denim each. Their friends even came out with a bag full of clothing. Everyone came out happy to have clothes for school. Just be aware that clothing sizes are all pretty much jumbled. You'll need to really take your time to go through each and every item to find your size. I would definitely come back to shop and for donation here. Being a large family, we always have something to donate.

This Salvation Army just opened up and is soo clean and organized! The store is organized by type then color (versus type then size). Purchased 3 jackets and 4 teacup saucer sets for a total of $40. The carts feel a little too big for the space, or the aisles are a bit more narrow so it was a bit tricky shopping around with the cart. There is a large selection of clothing for both men and women. Excited to see the kitchen / serveware section grow!

I spent about $67 here. Service was very friendly. I accidentally left behind a necklace that I purchased, so the shop immediately called me and told me that they had it. When I returned, the cashier was super sweet and offered me a discount on my next purchase. I'm excited to return again. Thank you!

I have come here a few times so a review is overdue. During my latest visit I came to both stores,…read morethere's an outlet and a regular thrift store a few doors down from each other. The outlet store was having a $2 sale, every item in the store was $2! I bought myself a few shirts and found clothes for my husband also. I spent less than $20 and got a few outfits for myself and husband. My mom and daughter also bought several items. In the outlet store has clothes on hangers, on tables and bins you have to dig thru to find gems but there were a lot of good finds. In the regular shop (photos included) , I got a j Jill dress for $6 and really nice jacket layer for $6 also, both brand new and with tags still attached. They often have sales at both locations and good selections. I would agree with comments about this being an overtly Christian store which at times has made me uncomfy but I have also witnessed sweet moments as well. They give away bibles to anyone who wants one. During my last visit there was a gentleman who was unhoused or fallen on bad times, he came into the store and shopped for clothes from the outlet $2 sale. He was treated kindly and with dignity. The store employee knew him and tried to get him connected to local assistance for him. I am down with this kind of Christianity.
