Wow. Passing through New York on a ski trip and was looking for some lunch. When searching for a good sandwich shop, I stumbled across this charming spot. Get it on the Cubano. Yummy! The half sandwich is plenty of food for me, but they taste so good that ordering a whole sandwich is always a consideration. I had heard about this spot when I was working in North White Plains. Fast forward a year and I was winding my way through some streets I never travel on after going to HD and Voila! So I picked up a couple of sammies for me and a coworker, not knowing what to expect. Luckily, one of my choices was the Filet Mignon special (which seems to be a special on the regular) and a Cuban Sandwich. We split both sandwiches so I got to try them both. The Cuban was good but the Filet Mignon was one of the BEST sandwiches I have ever had the pleasure of biting into. Since my initial visit, I have returned once (thanks to NYS DOT repairing the Sprain and forcing me to take a detour) for another selection of sammies. This time I did not get to try any but my own. Had an outstanding lunch today with friends from the Sandwich Spot. The food was fresh, portions were generous and the prices were fair! I enjoyed a turkey club on focaccia that tasted exceptional with those added flavors of bacon and avocado. Bread was divine! Not super thick and tasted like it was baked this morning. Also got an order of truffle fries for the group, they were a big hit. Would recommend eating them quickly because they did get a little soggy in transport. But flavor was delicious! read more

I want to start by saying that the layout of this place does not make any sense. Very uncomfortable and the entrance/exit layout is a bit backwards. I've been here a few times and the service is not something to boast about, sandwiches took a while to come out which is disappointing from a deli-type establishment. I've had the sengwich and moo-ffah from here and they were good, but just good. The bread was stale, so they were hard to bite into without everything going sideways. Not the easiest to eat on a lunch break. I'm all for a "special" sandwich but can never get behind the super-crispy-shred-your-mouth type bread. I was so fortunate to find this hidden gem a while back and now I try to go there at least once or twice a week for lunch. Haven't had a sandwich that disappointed. The one upper is my go to, the chicken vodka parm is amazing and I was fortunate to try a special called the truffle cheesesteak with chicken cutlet... I so wanted to give this spot a five star review going in! I heard great things about it and it looks fantastic inside. So the pluses are the bread was fresh and delicious as well as the ingredients and all the options are fantastic with the sandwiches they offer. Unfortuantly they got my order wrong although it was repeated back to me by the person behind the register. They made me a tuna melt although I did not order any cheese on it and said I didn't want a melt....oh well it was still tasty and I was in a rush so I didn't ask for them to make it again. The tuna tasted very fresh and delicious. Also I ordered the potato salad on the side which was fine but nothing special-slightly bland and the other downside to the location is the parking is a bit tight--I was there during a busy time and had to squeeze next to another car since all the other spots were taken. I definitely want to give this place another try in the near future and review again!
