    Rothman
    Linguini B.

Hot of The Press, it's ya boy LB hollering at you. The news cycle for The Press, here on Yelp, has not been positive enough. So in swoops I, Linguini, to save the day by reckoning the truth and wrecking the ideology of any haters. 3.5 stars isn't enough for this spot. A lovely interior in the heart of Scarsdale, a lovely town with lovely looking people. I showed up looking homeless and ashamed - The counterparts of the village looked esteemed, modelesque and disappointed in me. But the truth was... I was in a state of distress. The ham on my calf bone slightly peeled itself the night before and so I was hobbling around from the orthopedic to anywhere that would accept me. I begged for change to pay the lofty fee of my doctorial visit, but there were no takers. Maybe it was the oversized sweatpants or the oversized peacoat or the oversized boot of which I dragged through the streets... but nobody seemed to care for the ill-fallen Linguini. Nor, obviously, did I care for myself. Luckily my stomach ruled my mind and I found myself pressing up against the window of The Press, further glorifying myself as town Hobo. Anyways. I walked up to the counter without an order which is atypical of an abnormal man such as myself. I occasionally come unprepared to see how quick witted, decisive, accurate and successful I can be within seconds. This be the true test of a master. And the master showed his mind by purchasing The Rothman and The Front Page. Lovely complimentary sandwiches for a lovely man at heart, no matter what the surface suggests. Firstly... the price may originally threaten your wallet until the food comes out. Mamma Mia talk about size. A sizeful guy like myself recognizes sizes. These were flirting on gargantuan. The front page was front page worthy by sight, by taste I'd give more of a 4/5. But the Rothman... oh the Rothman. Bread pressed wonderfully. Tasty dressing, melted cheese, solid bacon and a tazminiacally (trademark that word) crispy cutlet. I could have that thang every darn day. The chips were very nice as well and of course I took a few bites with tossing some on the sandwich to be that guy. The Rothman is a 5/5. I don't feel the urge to account. To crunch the numbers. To audit myself. Not even the IRS is allowed to audit me. So who's gonna stop me from balancing out this ledger? From "cookin the books?" Lemme fix this old score here for ya and toss a 5/5 because this place certainly does not deserve the low rating it currently has on this platform. My plan is for my presence to become a familiar entity at The Press. The kids call that aura. But I will not be a familiar face. I will enter in costume; I will be cloaked, cluttered and cleverly calm. You'll never catch me. But I'll be there. A regular. A customer. A fan. Stay Sassy Scarsdale.

Disclaimer: I consider myself a bit of a sandwich snob at times. I wanted to love this place after seeing the hype on instagram and knowing that's it's owned by the same people as One Rare, but it fell flat for me. The sandwich's have potential for some great favor combos, but it is by no means a stacked sandwich. The meat to bread ratio is a little off for me. I got the Tony Pec. It was a super thin cutlet, tasty but thin. There wasn't a lot of sauce either. The end corner was missing some filling so it was just bread. That should be the best end bite! We also got the Page Six. The flank steak was on the dry side and not overly saucy for something that advertises chimichurri and aioli. Just lacking overall. The fresh potato chips are a nice touch. Not sure why they sell bags of chips if the sandwiches come with them. We went towards the end of the day, but still very much open and serving, and the floor needing a good sweeping and the tables wiped down. It has potential, but can't say im making this a destination spot for sandwiches.

The food was delicious. I ordered the Page six sandwich, the steak was tender and very soft. The arugula, cheese and chipotle aioli really brought this sandwich together. My favorite part was the toasted bread, it was very soft in the inside yet crispy on the outside. I would definitely order again from here!

I ordered the Lead Story with the shaved ribeye, provolone cheese and onions and it was amazing. The steak was juicy and flavorful, and the bread was able to hold its shape while i was eating it. The steak came with potato chips which i thought was a great alternative to fries. The service was quick and easy and the lady working up front was nice. The store was clean and decorated nicely with paintings and pictures which definitely add to the ambiance. Overall great experience, will revisit again!

(Not what) I kept it simple, because sometimes the greatest historical masterpieces seem so simple centuries later. Yet, sometimes, they once inspired an entire movement. This sandwich was GREAT. I'm a great big bozo for not trying this joint earlier. Lock me up, tie my shoes together and throw away my phone. I'll find my way back. Bravissimo wandissimo. Jersey Mike's Subs has easily become my go-to spot for a consistently great sandwich. Every visit…read morereminds me why I keep coming back. My regular order is the #6 Roast Beef with Provolone. I skip the "Mike's Way" and go with my own style: a light touch of lettuce (otherwise they'll load it up!), onions, jalapeños, salt and pepper, and mayonnaise. Every now and then I'll add bacon, but honestly, it's perfect as is. I usually go for the regular or the giant--because it's just that good. My father-in-law is just as loyal to his order as I am to mine. He always goes for the giant Ham and Swiss with tomato, lettuce, and a drizzle of oil. Simple, consistent, and always done right. What really makes this location stand out, though, is the service. The team here brings a level of warmth and energy that you don't see everywhere. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with genuine smiles and conversation. They take the time to remember you, and that kind of personal connection goes a long way. Akin's energy greets me without missing a beat. Louis is always smiling, saying hello, and even asking how I'm doing--and sometimes how my father-in-law is doing when he's not with me. Joe keeps the team spirit going strong, while Randy and Natalia are always welcoming and engaging. Willow and Anthony are consistently putting in the work, and Luigi took the time to walk me through the different types of hams by name and always greets me with a smile. Even the team members whose names I don't know yet contribute to that same great atmosphere--and I appreciate them just as much. I've also noticed the owner making rounds, checking in with customers and creating a welcoming environment. It's a small touch that makes a big impact--and the occasional warm cookie doesn't hurt either. And I'll be honest--I make it a point to stop in on Wednesdays because of the double points (whether I order online or in-store). I like to save my points... lol! You can tell there's real pride here, both in the quality of the sandwiches and the relationships they build with their customers. Great food, great people, and a place that truly feels welcoming every time. This location is doing it right.
