I was very disappointed with the amount of ice cream I received. After a long, hot day of walking around the park, I wanted ice cream. I ordered the three scoop in a dish. The scoops could not have been any tinier. It barely covered the bottom of the dish and was easily two bites for each scoop. My husband had the one scoop in a waffle cone. Super cute ice cream place with indoor and outdoor seating. It is located in a neighborhood, so it's all street parking. We went late at night for an ice cream run and there were tons of people. Lots of good vibes and it was well-lit, despite it being well after sunset. The line was long but moved fast. The staff were all very polite. The Scoop has a lot of flavor options and trying it beforehand is welcome. I enjoy exploring local Spokane shops and the ice cream was delicious (not icy from what I could tell). However, it can be expensive, especially for a smaller-sized cup. The flavors and quality were not insanely impressive, so I don't find the quantity/quality worth the cost. I love coming here! It's definitely a local gem in Spokane. Their ice cream is homemade in batches, which allows their flavors to rotate or change with the seasons. I also love how they have a variety of scoop sizes (the baby scoop is literally the cutest thing)! PARKING: Free on the street, usually easy to find one. PINEAPPLE DOLE WHIP: This south hill location is the only one that offers pineapple dole whip. It's so good alone and quite refreshing! They also have a float available and other flavors (ie. strawberry) depending on the time. The low rating is because the scoop wasn't rinsed after getting my strawberry guava and was then used to scoop the caramel. And those flavors don't exactly mix well. Our first time there I ordered the cheese platter ice cream, thinking that it would be a cheese ice cream base. After I had the ice cream in hand, my wife asked the Scoop employee what was in the cheese platter. She said it was an apricot ice cream base with other stuff mixed in. "Oh no! I just ordered apricot ice cream." It was fine. Fortunately, I also ordered a second excellent flavor to accompany my apricot. Our next time back I asked for samples of each ice cream in my bowl, to confirm that they were flavors I liked. "Chocolate ice cream? I'll sample it first to confirm. Thanks." I got the swirl and it was soooo good! Their confetti waffle cones are to die for. Not too sweet and actually have a bit of a chew which is so good instead of the typical crunchy crisp shell! My girlfriend said I had to write a review for this place after we ate it. She was so impressed, and I was too. I haven't been here for a few years and am ashamed I drove to downtown to get ice cream all this time. The new item that wasn't here before was the dole whip soft serve, which is an easy pleaser and refreshing on a hot day. Their homemade confetti waffle cones were a huge hit too and it seemed like everyone had one in their hands. A must try flavor if you love banana is banoffee (banana, cream, and toffee) with almonds. I was in search of ice cream and this place came up on Yelp so decided to check it out. It's not located on the main Street so you have to be looking for it. I love that this support the community as they do charity events as well as donations. Their ice cream is spectacular. I got the coffee toffee almond and Omg, was delicious. You can taste every flavors that was described and it was fresh. I was able to sample a few other flavors such as the prickly pear lemonade, the mochi one and the coconut and they were all delicious. My friend loved the raspberry lavender. I also love that they have a variety of scoop size that other places don't tend to have like the baby scoop, the 1.5 scoop, etc. Other than that, prices were super reasonable, and even more affordable after the 10% discount Yelp check in. Best ice cream in Spokane! Located in the South Hill neighborhood The Scoop serves housemade ice cream using nitrogen tanks. It's legit. All of their flavors are creamy, but has a lightness to it. In my recent visit I ordered a tween scoop of the Twinkle Berry and the Coconut Granola in a waffle cone that's made with rainbow sprinkles! Ya gotta get the waffle cone for your ice cream - no matter what flavor you get! The sprinkles make all the difference. I must also say that I'm a huge chocolate fan and normally lean towards chocolate flavors, but the Twinkle Berry and Coconut Granola were unbelievably good! The Twinkle Berry is made with mixed berries and sprinkles and tasted like there was some vanilla in it, kind of like tasting strawberry cheesecake! It was super good, so ordered my main scoop with this flavor. The Coconut Granola was my baby scoop of the tween scoop, which are two scoops of ice cream, the bottom being a regular size scoop and the top being a smaller scoop. It's a good way to try two flavors without feeling like a cow. And the Coconut Granola flavor I ordered was really good, with berries and granola in a coconut milk ice cream base. The Scoop has a rotating menu, so it's worth the frequent visits. In addition to their ice creams, they also serve Dole Whip and liege waffles and have a full espresso menu. I want to try the chicken and waffles with my whole soul however. But we got the passionfruit Game of Thrones special which was ever so tasty and then of course some good old fashioned vanilla. I am definitely a fan of The Scoop. Not only do they have great ice cream, but they also have some wonderful waffles. I am a sucker for a good waffle, so my interview is a little biased. The Ice Cream - They have a great selection of rotating ice creams. I went in two times in a month and almost all of their flavors had rotated to something new. I can speak to the magic of Banoffee and Salted Caramel. Banoffee is their "specialty" that is a mixture of banana and toffee. I tried it for fun and fell in love. The salted caramel was everything that you want. Caramel flavor with the little bit of sweet and salty. The Waffles - They are a yeast based waffle so they may not taste the same as your average waffle you make at home, but boy are these GOOD. They are hearty and have real flavor. They have lots of waffle options including ice cream, other sweet options, and savory options. Clearly I am coming back since I have been twice in the past month. The flavors I am enjoying right now are the peach crumble, with house roasted peaches & house made crumble, and lemon cake - which has an entire lemon cake mixed in! Even with rain falling on a Thursday afternoon, I can't think of a better place to be than eating ice cream at The Scoop. You can taste the love, and see the joy Gerardo had in sharing these flavors with us. In all the states and cities I've been to, this is hands down the best ice cream I've tried. My daughter who lives in Spokane and across town introduced us to this place last night. It is located in a neighborhood in the South Hills. Kind of a hole in the wall place. Geraldo was so awesome and very nice about sampling their flavors. I heard the flavors are constantly changing and in the summer, the line is out the door. Hand made, gluten free and vegan options. In the morning they have coffee, tea and pastries, including waffles. I haven't yet experience that. Prices are crazy reasonable. Service was top notch. Definitely will be coming back again and again before heading back home. I will be excited about our summer visit where it looks like they have a nice outdoor seating area with lights hanging and my daughter says nights with live music. read more

I have been a fan of the Scoop when I first moved to Spokane when I was a kid. I think the Scoop is definitely the best ice cream in Spokane (maybe in the world :) haha). The line is long in the summer, but it's because the ice cream is the perfect summer treat. My favorite of all time is the salted caramel in the homemade funfetti waffle cone. I believe they rotate their flavors- and I ordered the tween scoop which is a larger scoop on the bottom and a smaller scoop on top. I chose the vanilla and peach crumble- both were super delicious and extremely creamy. My sisters boyfriend got their house made waffle cone that had bits of (we think) fruity pebbles.
