Foods amazing, but the kitchen hadn't looked like it had been cleaned in years, if your not going to keep your kitchen clean and trash off the floor at least put up a Curtain so when I eat that delicious food I can pretend a couple racoons didn't cook it. The foods great and the prices good. I did notice eating my racoon burger that a young couple had sat down and immediately been approached by a waitress who in a side conversation had been yelling curse words. They left immediately. 1. Walked in here with my fiance' a while ago and have never been back! The guy that was bartending that night was anything but nice. There was another couple there, I assumed they were regulars, because he was very chatty with them. Constantly asking if they wanted another drink, and what not, but not us. I asked for a menu and he replied "You're not in downtown. What do you want?". Um, I've been to many bars, even the rattiest ones, and I've always seen a menu of some sort. My fiance' ordered a beer and I had a Piña Colada, which I swear tasted as if there was no alcohol in it. My drink was sloppily made, and he through an obviously OLD cherry on top. Well that was definitely the cherry on top of all of this... I did not try the food, but with my experience here (the drinks and the bartender), it was nothing to rave about. The ScoreBoard is a great neighborhood sports bar that has excellent food. There are plenty of televisions to watch your favorite teams of all sports including lacrosse and rugby as well as the big three. The menu is great and the daily specials are awesome. The baby back ribs here are beyond amazing! They are smoked and come with a homemade bbq sauce that is fricken delicious. Highly recommend the ribs from their daily specials!! Really fun environment with karaoke and a pool table. Gets a little packed after a bit, but it's a good crowd. read more

When I am in Imperial Beach, this is one of my spots! The food, staff and the owner are great! I have lived out of IB for the last year and when I go back they still know my name! Everyone is friendly and you can never NOT have a good time here! My favorite dish I haveEVER had there was the Shrimp tortalini alfredo! and after that ONE time...I have NEVER seen it on the menu or as a special again! what's up with that???!!!! They have Kareoke on wed or thurs nights...can't remember which. Also a juke box pool table ski table - I think that's what it's called???? drawin a blank here. sorry. a small outdoor patio for all the smokers out there big screen tv for all the sporting events we must all watch! Fun litte dive bar in Imperial Beach. I came in on a saturday evening around 8 pm. They serve awesome bar food and stiff drinks at a reasonable price. There was karaoke later on in the evening. This is a pretty good place to hang out. I come here once in a while, just to hang out with friends whenever an event happens in Imperial Beach and the place doesn't disappoint. I really don't come here for the food (mostly drinks with friends) but when I do...the food is pretty good. I had a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich and found it very tasty. And I am highly critical when it comes to Onion Rings because I love Onion Rings. The service is prompt and the prices are pretty decent...not bad for a very small neighborhood sports bar. read more

I've been going to The Scoreboard for years and have always gotten great service. I'd say 90% of the time the food is amazing. Occasionally the cole slaw has no flavor or something isn't cooked right. The service is great that if you tell them, they will take care of it right away. The pizza, ruben, grilled cheese and pork wings are my favorite things on the menu. I've only eaten breakfast there twice and wasn't impressed either time. It's a lot of food for a good price though. this place used to be the spot !! now with the new owners sit seems like they have never worked in a restaurant a day in their life til now. food took forever to come. waiter had sucky customer service. my fries were all small as if i got the end of the bag literally not one whole french fry. when my dad asked for a refill the guy came back with a half full glass didn't even top it off. and when i asked to order a pina colada the waiter proceeded to tell me they don't have a blender. what kind of bar doesn't have a blender ?? when i asked for a side of ranch the waiter brought me a small ass sample cup literally the size of a thimble if you ask me, the new owners are CHEAP and don't know how to run a restaurant/ bar. customer service was at a ZERO. AND MY CHECK TOOK 20 MINUTES TO COME TO MY TABLE. won't be coming back again i rather go to the IB forum. read more

O if it was possible! Horrible racist place. A family with 2 small children were dining with a very obvious drunk father who was so loud and no one could even enjoy themselves due to his drunken loud mouth. Then a gentleman approached him and asked him to lower his voice and he became a biligegerent ass. Then called him a racial slur and no one who worked there said anything! And seemed as if many of the patrons there could care less. Shameful... food took forever to come out and when we did receive at least our salad we were given the wrong salads and when brought back it was obviously the same salad with the correct topings thrown on top . We ordered the ribeye and loaded potato . Loaded potato was slightly under baked and hardly loaded lol I came home with an upset stomach. Not sure due to the food or environment. Then after the gentleman who was clearly annoyed and h8s wife left the bar had the nerve to serve the racist bastard a tequila shot! Wtf read more

Your typical friendly neighborhood dive bar with cheap drinks, a strong pour, pool table, karaoke, etc... What makes this place stand out, though, is that the food is actually really good...and not just your typical bar fare is fair game here. If I want a drink I go to the score board. Everyone there is out to have fun. Food is decent, but is cut off early. Karaoke is fun especially towards last call. Watching the game here is just as good as the people watching. So far so good, but I gave it a three because of these four complaints. The bar tenders are not created equal. One drink made my stomach turn because it was not mixed right. The bar smell that is normal after a crazy rocking weekend is present Thursday evening. Eesh They keep the beer in Coleman coolers, because.... Maybe they don't want to spring for new fridges? The owner washed a pitcher and hung it off a liquor bottle (open with one of those control pour spouts) to dry still dripping. The bar tender saw it right away and removed it. The Scoreboard in IB has poor food the service is slow and miss leading then they over charge they quote a price on beer then when the check arrives it suddenly has gone up $2.00 tonite I received a check for $42.00 I gave them $60.00 then received $2.00 n change when I complained I was told the bill was now $57.00 anyway I will never go back there again, this has happened before not worth the hassle and a rare rib-eye steak was well done and tasteless, for $19 Really? The Scoreboard is by far the BEST place to get food in South Bay. The South West Burger is way better than Five Guys, In N Out or any Burger Joint you can find. The drinks are always good and very reasonably priced. Karaoke nights are the Best Rick and Wally are Awesome KJ's with the Biggest selection of songs you will find anywhere. I have been going to the Scoreboard since I was a kid with my grandfather for lunch. I am now 42 and frequent the Scoreboard Weekly. read more

The owner answered and gave me the nastiest attitude on the phone. Keep in mind I don't know her and she doesn't know me. Then she hung up on me. Pretty boring bar it's nice inside tho ! Seems a bit outta date tho ! There was a lot of older people ! Like 30s and up and they had Karaoke going on but seemed like the same people kept going up ! They were all pretty good tho ! What really tripped me out was seeing a toddler there ! Like 2 years old probably. On a Friday night ! It was cheap, but in my opinion, not good. This place was not my idea of a comfy Sunday morning breakfast, albeit a sports bar, but still. I could be expecting too much, but the food was not good. The crowd is mostly all regulars. I just probably wouldn't go back, unless I was really drunk and someone put the least bit of peer pressure on me. We love Scoreboard! It's a classic beach dive bar and it reminds us of the Beachcomber in Mission Beach. The food is delicious, the menu varied with daily specials. Lots of cold craft beer, and a good selection of ingredients for favorite cocktails. Joe is the owner and he always welcomes us. I must have driven by it 100 times driving down Palm before stopping in. I recently moved to IB and was looking for a good place to watch sports and eat some cheap food. Little did I know the food is not only cheap, but great. The 99 cent biscuits and gravy are a bargain, and have what appears to be a homemade gravy, so good. They also offer a Philly style eggs benedict with sliced rib eye and provolone that is amazing. The service has always been attentive and friendly. Definately 5 stars for this joint. Having lived in IB almost 5 years I've always been told this bar was a "locals only" and that if they didn't know you when you walked in that you'd be glared at. Well one day we decided to give it a try....boy am I glad we did. It's now our new favorite spot! Food is excellent, bartenders are great and we enjoy playing shuffleboard! They keep the beer in chests of ice, so it is so cold and delicious! Shuffleboard and pool tables are a plus as well. I cannot speak about the food, but today there were free peanuts to crack and throw on the floor in honor of Padres opening day. Good times! read more

I happened across the scoreboard when working in imperial beach. I just wanted a beer after work and discovered the $1.00 tacos on taco tuesday. Tried a lobster taco and I have tried a few other items on the menu and they all are good. The phillie cheese steak is the best I have ever had. The club sandwich will feed a family of 4. Great place to hang out on a Friday or Saturday night and get your sing on! Food is great, especially the burgers, and very reasonably price. Staff is friendly and willing to accommodate just about any request. Drinks are good...they don't skimp on the alcohol! I don't always have a drink when I am there and I always have non-alcoholic options - virgin drinks, hot or iced tea, sodas, juices, coffee, water (it is filtered, not bottled but I am not so snooty (Colleen D) as to need bottled water. The bar is clean, good sized with sufficient seating, a pool table, shuffleboard table, and multiple TVs throughout the bar showing multiple sporting events (it is, after all, part sports bar). The ladies room is very clean (Colleen D.) and if there is an issue with the restroom, just let the staff know and it will be taken care of immediately. The karaoke hosts (Rick and Wally) have great equipment and massive song selection. I am a semi-professional singer and Rick and Wally have the some of the best equipment around the karaoke "scene"....better than my own equipment. They do limit the long songs (6+ minute songs) when there are a lot of singers but that is to allow more people an opportunity to sing. (People like Colleen D. should keep this in mind.) Wally does a dance set of popular line dances to get people up and moving, especially if people are up dancing to the singers' songs. Overall The Scoreboard is a great place to hang out with friends, have a drink, watch a game, have some good food, meet new people, and sing a song or two on karaoke nights. Don't let a few bad apple reviews discourage you from checking out a great IB establishment. read more
