I'm not in San Diego very often, but when I am, I always make it a point to stop by the Scoreboard. The atmosphere in this place is great, very friendly, and excellent service. Drinks are well priced here, and the food is amazing (as long as you don't mind cheating on your diet... Trust me it's worth it) the Karaoke is fantastic, I have never found any Karaoke like at the Scoreboard where singers often sound better than the original songs! Ok bar. A lot karoeke, not too much variation 2 much country. Came here with some friends for some drinks but where not compelled too stay longer past the 1st drink on a Sat night. Its OK if younwant to sing country type karoeke, did not seem OK for Spanish Kareoke. read more

Stopped in after a hot afternoon of hiking in the Tijuana Slough. ICE cold draft beer and friendly bartender. Fun to eat peanuts and throw the shells on the floor. Would recommend the fries. read more

I love this place! I was raised in the South Bay and grew up doing junior lifeguards on Imperial Beach. I would always hear shitty stories about how this bar has no women, and a attitude! Well, it's true! That being said though, they have killer deals on a Thursday when you can buy scoreboard bucks and decent beer! Went to see my old coworker Kerry, but he wasn't there! Got stuck with Michael... He was amazing! Had a great conversation/argument about life! Lol. I really appreciated him telling me I talk too much! I do!!!! Hahaha. This bar is the definition of a perfect dive bar. We've been there a few times and most of the time it has been great. The service is exemplary and the food is wonderful. They are very accommodating, if there is a game you want to watch they will find it. They also have MLB extra innings and NFL Sunday Ticket. Best dive bar in IB. I try to come here every sunday to catch some football. I'm from Tampa and always ask for the Bucs games and they're always happy to put a tv on with the game. The food is glorious. They do true magic in that kitchen. The specials menu is strangely erotic because my mouth salivates every time I read it! Beer selection is great as well. Attention karaoke singers-i went to this VERY SMALL bar CALLED the SCOREBOARD-(no bottled water served here ) anyway i was invited by my friends to go to the scoreboard Wednesday night and some dude named rick was the Wednesday night k.d.j and when i handed my songs to rick his exact quote was " I dont want to hear that crap" then he told me my song was too long and that his crowd Wouldnt like it. but he finally gave in and let me sing the song i choose out of there song book, and the crowd loved it but then rick let some regular guy sing that was too drunk to stand up without help and let his very drunk self sing a song that he was too drunk to even sing it all,. so rick turned down my next rock song and gave me at ;least a 4 minute whine about his equipment and how drunks yell and scream rock into there mics.and trow them on the floor,after i told him i dont drink, so i left. then i tried sat. night because i heard wally was working there and was no longer drinking, but alcohol or not .wally is still a Butt head and cannot handle anyone singing anything different than what his song choices are. in the fifteen years i have been singing karaoke in imperial beach and Chula vista .lakeside.and alpine not once did anyone of those k.d.j.s turn me down for my song choices.only wally and rick at the scoreboard. so much for having a money making attitude,the want to help your job be better.and to please your customers. so much for the scoreboard being a place to go to drink have fun and spend your money to sing karaoke and then have two different kdjs go against their job description and tell you no like wally did.at least rick cares about his job enough to care about his customers,while i was there sat. at the scoreboard and was turned down by wally to sing a song from his songbook i started spreading the word to peeps at that same bar..!!!! i highly recommend that if anyone is feeling like going to the scoreboard- no designated drivers allowed apparently because they do not serve water-coffee or booze . this place is behind the times,and so are wally and rick the k.d.j's at the scoreboard. i highly recommend Brunswick Bowling alley on east h street in Chula vista. the best thing-no drunks-lots of soda vending machines,two snack bars .video games.pool tables , a very clean ladies room and a - k.d.j who knows his job description and does it right. unlike the scoreboard ! sorry but all my karaoke friends need to know about the hole in the wall call the scoreboard at palm ave past 10th street -stay away-dont waste your time being turned down by wally and rick --who put on the -your the star karaoke - Wally wont let you be the star. i will never be back and will always mention THE SCOREBOARD to my singer friends and what a joke it ended up being....SEE YOU MUCH ,MUCH LATER-LIKE NEVER AGAIN...i was also afraid to even view the restroom never the less use it,and you couldnt pay me to eat the food from the SCOREBOARD-because if they cant even do karaoke right .how can the food be acceptable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
