They have a window outside where they sell snow balls, we tried a peach flavor with "cream" which is really sweetened condensed milk. It was really good, but extremely sweet. It could have used about half of the syrup that was put on it. Next time! I'm sure we will be enjoying these as the weather warms up. When you walk inside they have a little freezer section with frozen seafood, a seating area so you can sit down and enjoy any hot food you purchase, and a case of raw fish. We decided to order the fried shrimp plate, and it was delicious. Best fried shrimp I've had. It came with hush puppies(not a fan), fries(perfect), garlic toast and I had the swamp sauce which is delicious. We also tried their boudin balls, we were not a fan of their version. They also sell hot boiled crawfish and shrimp which seems to be really popular. It's a little country store which seems to be run by family members, while we sat outside we could hear them hollering inside the building. The lady who took my order wasn't too friendly but she made some mean shrimp, the girl who made the snowballs was very nice and helpful as well. All in all we will be back! The gumbo was pretty good, had a tomato richness to it. I forgot what my friend ordered; probably cause I had too many martinis. It's about a 10-15 minute drive from Hammond but it's worth it.
