On with my review, this place is great, Josh and Jason and everyone there are so knowledgeable about the pets and give you the one on one interaction about whatever reptiles eat, how much and when to feed. I love this place and will continue to shop here, fair prices and good quality of feeders. Just wanted to post an update, I bought two furcifer willsii from a credible person and thought I would show you what healthy looks like. This is what a health furcifer willsii looks like. Just wanted to educate y'all since you don't seem to know what "healthy" looks like. How is it I've owned these guys for 2 months and they are fine but the one y'all sold me died in a month? Day 1 of running around looking for a lizard for my granddaughter. I looked everywhere. The serpentarium was my last stop and I found her. Staff very nice and helpful gave me all them I needed. Went back the next day after work to pick her up and they were closed but I was determined to have her so I left my name on my number went back the next day after work by 4 o'clock. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, he stayed great. And his attitude was not fake. Went in today to look for a Brithday present for my nephew and not one employee was wearing a mask at all! They even let customers come in without them. This place is beyond filthy..not to mention very smelly and not just because of the smells of the animals. It's the smell of uncleanliness. Very poor care of the animals, they were in the dark without their heat lamp or lights on. The dragons looked very dark in color and stressed out. Not clean water. The stock if very light with merchandise. Not worth making a trip to. Workers were just standing around. We were not greeted when we walked into the store. Will never shop here again. Not saying all Serpentarium stores are bad...just the Stockton location. This place needs lots of tlc. read more

If I could give more star I would! I have two snakes both ball pythons and I come here once a week for feeders. The whole staff is always helpful, patient, and very knowledgeable. Derek the supervisor helped me a lot recently with my newest ball python. I purchased her from a reptile show and she had mites. Derek not only spotted them but helped show me the steps I needed to take to get rid of the mites. I highly recommend shopping here. read more

We purchased our ball python from the Stockton location and our savannah monitor from the Lodi location. We've been in close contact with the Stockton store since, bringing in both scale babies for check ups and buying things to make their vivs more lush. Went into store looking for a snake, my daughter "adopted" a adult bearded dragon that by the story told to us been surrendered by an owner that couldn't care for him. When we got home animal was quite different, hard to handle, biting and such. We were told by the store that the policy was we could bring it back and not get the 100$ back and they would adopt it again. This place first of all the hours SUCK! They are ONLY open during the hours I'm at work & they do not offer an "order online pick up in store" feature which makes actually buying from here difficult. On a another note the customer service is absolutely amazing! They really care about giving u proper information about your reptile & they don't make u feel stupid for asking questions. Third they have a great selection of high quality supplies and they actually have cute accessories which most places don't . You guys should get some cute hides for me to choose from too! This is my "go to" "to call" place for my pet snake for life AND they will check her up for free which is awesome cuz I know nothing about snakes so I have a long road to learn and it makes me feel good to know I have a place that supports me as a new reptile mom & Mimi's health. Got our two tarantulas from these guys. So far so good, our King Baboon and Mysore Oriental are just about to molt. They also carried the mist king system which saves me the shipping time and cost to order it online. They had a wide range of reptiles and supplies. Their set ups are phenomenal and they carry plenty of different types of feeders. I cant wait to swing buy and pick up a banana ball. I'm so excited to get my leo!!! I went in originally to see if they had any available, or to see about supplies for a leopard gecko. Turns out Emily showed me they had gotten one (a surrender) and instantly I was like "CAN I BUY HER?!?!" Emily helped me get all of her stuff that she'd think I need from (vitamins, bowls, hides, and substrate). She even offered to help me set the tank up. It was perfect I went picked up a tank (and other unnecessary decorations... probably spending way too much). I came back and she helped me do most of the work (packing substrate, putting in the hides, helping me set up the heat mat). Seriously, she was awesome helping me do everything, giving me tips and tricks for my new leo, and helping alleviate some of my anxieties about getting her (mostly me worrying she wouldn't like her home). I'm super grateful I went in when I did, because I got so much help I wouldn't have gotten from other places or some people. I've been doing a lot of research about Ball Pythons (a little bit over six years) and I'm in a position where I'm comfortable enough to adopt a wonderful three month old Cinnamon Ball Python! Markus was an amazing person and his energy was what made the whole experience a lot more enjoyable! What an amazing place! The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly! And, no other store can beat their prices, or they'll price match. I purchased a Zoo Med brand Chameleon starter kit, a Jacksons Chameleon and some additional accessories. I've never had a Chameleon and was nervous about his care requirements. However, after speaking with Kylie and Chance, I left feeling super pumped from all of the information they offered me! Friendly service! This is an awesome place to get your supply of frozen rodents (even in bulk), and I'm not sure why they don't post this on their website. Sadly, they only have a small amount of live displays, but the staff are extremely knowledgeable, and even shed some light for me on how to convert my ball python from mice to rats. read more

I've never been their biggest fan. The way the owner runs the business with his reshelving fee for unopened/unused items has never sat right with me. They do have decent prices on crickets and worms and some of their staff is really knowledgeable and knows what their talking about, but in general I just fee like the employees are trained to rip you off. I've gone in for incubators, they try to sell me the absolute most expensive one they have on hand...even if it's out of stock. They try recommending me only lugarti products when I'm not even asking about whatever it is they're recommending me and when I go to buy containers I shouldn't be charged EXTRA for the lids that should already come with the containers. The only reason I'm not giving 1 star is because they have like 2 or 3 knowledgeable employees that aren't constantly trying to rob me. Also they don't wear nor enforce the mask mandate, they don't enforce the limited capacity mandate and their store is not safe to enter if you're avoiding any possible covid exposure. read more

My friend and I just came in to look and did not buy anything, so I can't comment on prices, etc. However, both employees on duty were very friendly and happy (excited, actually) to answer every question we had. I don't know if this is the norm, but there were no other customers in the store and when we commented on how cute one of the snakes was, one employee was happy to open up its cage and let us hold it while he talked to us about it. We received in-depth info on every animal we asked about, and actually learned a lot about the Serpentarium company itself. My friend and I both had a great experience, and if I am ever looking to buy a snake (or lizard, frog, turtle, tarantula, etc.) this is where I'll go! read more

I love this place! I've been doing business with them for about a year now and they are always knowledgeable. I bought a large cage system to set up a vivarium for my dart frogs in December. With their advice it is beautiful and thriving. They also helped me learn how to breed and keep fruit flies to keep my frogs healthy and happy. I am setting up my second frog vivarium and was excited to find two orange terribilis frogs. They are healthy and energetic. This is the place to go for all of your poison dart frog needs!
