This pub is a busy place, and it's a great environment to be in to wind down. I ordered the Frank's Red Hot and the Lemon Pepper wings with a blue ranch dip ($15+), and the dip was the best part of the meal. The wings were extremely dry, as if they had been cooked before, then reheated. The flavour was unbearingly strong. Each bite was extremely salty. However, the poutine, the burgers, and the chicken strips that other people ordered seemed to fit their liking. I am a little disappointed with my choice, since it seemed like pubs would push out decent wings. I might be back for drinks only next time.

Stopped in her for a quick bite before Waitress. Hopping atmosphere on a Saturday night on campus. The menu centres around pub food. Lots. Of deep fried food. The table beside us had pizza and it looked and smelled delicious. Hubby went for his standard Shepherds Pie. Ground beef with peas and corn. Lots of real mashed potatoes covering it. He declared it good. But how can you mess up shepherds pie! I had the vegan carrot soup. Oh my. Rich and creamy with a hint of spice. Normally when something says vegan, I turn my nose up. Glad I stepped outside my comfort zone. I was quite surprised at the depth of flavour in the soup. This is our second visit before a show at the jubilee. Dinner for two with one beer was under 40 with tip. Nicely priced and good service.

Poor Sherlock's, so little love! A bit unjustified in my mind, and while it's true that this location is not 4-star status, I personally would give it a 3.5. As others note, it IS stupidly loud during open mic night, but tbh I could name about any pub in the Sherlock family (and other smaller YEG pubs) and this observation would be true. In my many post-shift pint visits, I can't say I've had a bad experience. The daily deals are good, the beer selection is much better than many other local chains (glares at Boston Pizza), and most of the food is pretty good, for a unpretentious local pub atmosphere. The pizza here and other locations is a bit greasy and heavy for my taste, but most other things are A-Ok. I like that they change up their menu a little on a regular basis; my bf had the firecracker burger our last visit, and it was a perfect spicy treat. I've also had no problem with service, and if you have Kaylee as your server, you'll undoubtedly be greeted with a warm smile and a friendly attentiveness. Go have a pint at campus Sherlock's, it's really not that bad, I promise!

This is very conveniently located by the UAlberta campus and has a good selection of beers and pub grub! I find that the prices are reasonable and the drink specials are great. The service is always good and the atmosphere is chill. A part of the proceeds from the Amber ale sale go towards Cancer research!

Saturday evening and we just got out of the water park at West Edmonton Mall. we could not find a place to eat that wasn't an hour wait. My wife suggested we try Sherlock Holmes. I was a bit skeptical but it turned out to be the best food choice I've made in a while. the food was top notch, the service was amazing and the value was very good ad well. we now have a new Edmonton favourite... well done staff at Sherlock Holmes.

Good music, good place to hang out with friends! But do we have to fight for the only booth in the pub? Lol

Probably the best i had in the city. The Next Act is non descript with the decor. It does have a nice patio if you are able to snag a spot. Our server was prompt and attentive. Food came out quickly despite the full restaurant. This time I tried The Pyro with habanero cream cheese, bacon, crispy onions, jalapeños, and chipotle mayo. Hubby ordered The Critic - smoked cheddar, bacon, caramelized onions, and bbq sauce Our friend ordered The Scout - jack cheese, chimichurri, crispy onions, avocado, and roasted garlic mayo We all chose the fries as a side. It was delicous. And this time the fries were great and not soggy. My burger was delicious. If you like heat, this one is for you. Both other people at the table enjoyed their burger as well. I saw someone have the mac and cheese, and that looked delicous. However I don't think I can skip the burger and order something else.

We were luck to slide through the front door 15 minutes before the kitchen closed for the night and order a burger to go. We got the Critic with a side of poutine and scurried back to our hotel room with our secured goods. The burger was amazing and exactly what we needed. The patty was substantial with a great crust against the sweetness of the caramelized onions, all between two pillowy soft buns. The burger was also huge, as it was double the size of what you would get an the golden arches. We got back fast enough that the poutine fries were still crunchy with a curds melted into the thick gravy. So happy that The Next Act was open at our moment of need. Forever grateful.

We almost got up and left. Then it took a while for the food to come out even though it appeared like we were the only ones eating. Then we had to go up and ask for the bill and pay because no one was visible. Not impressed at all. It is cute inside and was nicely decorated for Christmas. Food itself was fine. I had the beef dip. They were skimpier on the meat then previously. The fries and the dip were really tasty. My husband had the chicken sandwich It was tasty but the patty seemed a little small. We are not sure if we hit a bad afternoon but we will give it another shot sometime.
