We had their Nutella chocolate cake and lemon meringue togo from here. The cake was just as i remember from their other location in Peoria. Lemon meringue came highly recommended so we had to try it. Was in the area and wanted something sweet to eat so looked on the Yelp app for desserts and it led me to The Sicilian Baker so off I went. The Sicilian Baker is attached to The Sicilian Butcher. After checking out the pastries in the display case I went with chocolate eclairs, Italian wedding cookies, vanilla custard lobster tail and mini cannoli. Everything I tried was delish, the chocolate eclairs had a chocolate filling, which was a surprise, but in the good way. The one that I was looking forward to trying was one of the mini cannoli's I had bought, but I left it on the counter and when I came back my dog said thank you for the snack haha. I love this bakery everything is delicious. The cannolis are amazing. They have a really good white chocolate raspberry mocha that is Devine. Customer service is usually on par there's a lot more young people working there than I remember before. The he gelato is delicious and if your hungry go next door to the Italian butcher to get some pasta beforehand. Love the vibe inside as well. read more

In Scottsdale for weekend and a friend found this place. We loved that could order food to go that would only take like 10 minutes, plus hello, cannoli bar. They have a great "build your own" pasta option, where pick from 10 or so noodles, 4 or 5 meatballs and various sauces. I went with the ribbon pasta, marinara sauce and Sicilian meatballs. I placed this order before I got in line for the cannoli and the food was ready just minutes after I finished with the cannoli, so timing was great. Pasta was perfect Al dente, meatballs delicious. The sauce was generous. The service for the cannoli was very disappointing. I have never been and the only signage just says sizes and cost. So I asked for four mini cannoli. The server turns away and comes back with a pack of four. I said I don't get to pick the filling? She said no, mini is only traditional. I said no thank you then, I wanted to sample various. She tells me I have to get the regular size, with lots of attitude and no true explaining of how works. I ordered two and she filled them. My friends were helped by two different servers, after me. One friend was offered sample tasting of filling to help her decide and the other friend was told each cannoli could have two fillings. I would have loved to have either of those options! If the servers aren't going to offer same level of service, or be friendly enough where don't worry about asking questions and pissing them off more, than it would be nice if there was signage out explaining how works - minis are only traditional, mid size can have two flavors, ask for a sample, etc. On the plus side, the cannolis were great. Fantastic shells, very generous amount of filling, super tasty. read more

Doesn't get better than having an Italian dessert spot nearby. Huge fan of gelato and definitely came to try the cannolis. Can't remember the last time I tried one, so I was looking forward to it. We sampled some of the creams and the birthday boy chose a few in the regular size: lemon, buttercookie, classic, and pistachio. I was a fan of the classic cream, the chocolate chips added a nice touch as well as the chocolate shell. I didn't care much for the other flavors, I prefer non fruity. Didn't get to try their gelato but it looked great, maybe next time. I didn't like the Italian cookies, the flavors were not for me. This place is literally a mile from my new house and I've always wanted to try it but there were always lines to wait which just meant it was a good spot. My boyfriend and I finally got to try it out and we were super impressed. We got a chocolate ganache cake, espresso coffee and a couple of cannolis! I love that you can pick the type of cannoli filling to put in the cannoli and they come in a variety of sizes. So if you don't want something too big you can get the minis! I think it's unique and delicious. I only gave it a 4 star as there was a cake on their online menu that they no longer carry and they didn't have tiramisu which is an Italian staple I would think. Been here a few times and still believe they have a great product. There is a wide variety of flavors and many other things to choose from if you are not in the mood for a cannoli. However, when I saw the employee start piping the cream in the two regular cannolis I ordered, I told her I was a little surprised because usually they have "paddled" the cream into the regular sized shells. That's when she told me that the cream she was piping in was the leftovers from yesterday! Yes, the leftovers ... yet there sat in the case the brand new tubs of pistachio and of cookie butter that I was expecting my cannolis to be filled with. Not to mention, the amount of filling was much skimpier than the previous times I've visited. I paid full price for cannolis filled with the previous day's leftover cream - not what I was expecting. A better idea would be to sell this at discounted prices so that there is minimal waste and that customer-business transparency. At the very least, it would have been nice if the employee informed me of the leftover cream before I asked the question. Unfortunate and hope this is just a one off experience. read more

Came here on a Monday afternoon post-lunch at the Sicilian Butcher. There were a people in line, which gave us the opportunity to admire the decor (which was very festive, fun, and colorful). There was so many options of Italian goodies for you to choose from. The woman behind the counter gave us the BEST service! She was hilarious with a New York accent and just very fun to interact with. She let us try some of the cookies and even threw in a free mini cannoli when we ordered a box. We got a box of mini cannolis to try multiple flavors of the filling - pistachio, amaretti, peanut butter, cookie butter, and hazelnut. My favorite was the cookie butter but the amaretti was a close second. Highly recommend coming here for dessert! We were dining next door and had an hour wait so why not start with dessert. I am giving them 4 stars as the place was lovely and it was the best I have had here but being an Italian Sicilian girl from Brooklyn whose Grandparents came from Italy and lived in Manhattan I have had the best of the best. I am a HUGE fan of sesame cookies and this is going to sound weird but they were too soft for my liking - I like my sesame cookie to have a little crunch - the softness made me question if they were not fresh. They flavor was really good but again - they softness threw me. We ordered a couple of cannolis. The coffee filling had a weird after taste and had a gritty (sandy) filling (almost artificial in flavor). Not my favorite. We also ordered the oreo and it was perfect. The filling was exactly what you would expect - smooth and creamy - even with the cookies in it. Coffee was very good - it was just coffee, not a latte or cappuccino, which they serve as well. The coffee went perfect with the dessert Its decorated so pretty - I loved the floors and walls - brought me back to New York. I could have sat in there all evening. I would like to taste some of the other desserts like the Gelato - We will be back. Be aware that parking is tough - just jumping in for a Cannoli will not happen in the evening but I would say its worth the trip read more

OMG! I died and went to cannoli heaven. No honestly I've never seen the variety of size and filling before. You can get anything from mini to extra large, plain or chocolate edging on the shell of your choice. Then the filling (which you can sample) everything from strawberry, Nutella, cookies and cream, pistachio, I can't remember them all but I still loved the traditional. There are other desert options at the bakery, but I need to try cannoli everywhere I go. And I really enjoyed these. The only downside to the bakery is I'm usually to full from enjoying my meal at the Sicilian butcher next door. Definitely worth the trip two great places side by side. read more

The cannoli was pretty good. You know the concept, but how long are all those fillings updated and replaced in their bins? I think these should be made with fresher ingredients. After dinner at the Sicilian Butcher, we walked to this Baker next door. There are so many selections of all sweet goodness. I told myself to get only 3 things for two of us per visit. Of course, we got cannoli. We picked different cannoli shells and creams each time. We got regular size, not the super large one. We did try lemon, mint, and Nutella cream filling in our cannoli. We also got sfinci (donut with cream filling), baked cassata, and cassatina . I cannot stop enjoying the cassatina and I wish I got the big one! I love that almost every dessert has ricotta cheese, almond, marzipan, and candied cherry. They also have coffee machine for us to enjoy the sweet treats with coffee. We sat outside on the table, which made me feel like we were in the cafe in Europe. There are more and more desserts for us to try, and we will keep enjoying them. read more

I really struggled with how to rate this one. A fan of the butcher next door, I was excited to hear about their bakery venture! The concept is awesome: build your own cannoli (plus they have many other traditional Italian desserts). On the cannoli front, you can pick your shell (size, plain or chocolate dipped), your filling (lots of different flavors from traditional to strawberry to cookies and cream). I think there are some toppings you can add as well. We stopped by after work a few days after their grand opening. There were a couple of other people who came in behind us but it wasn't too busy yet. We were greeted when we walked in and started to browse the offerings. The guy who ended up helping us was really nice but didn't really walk through anything until we started asking questions. He did offer samples of the filling though which was cool. We got a chocolate dipped with espresso filling and a chocolate dipped with traditional filling. I have never really experienced cannolis before.. The filling had good flavor and the shell was crisp. I'm just not sure that I'm a cannoli fan. While I enjoyed it I just am not sure I would return. It also got a little confusing during check out since we were handed our treats and told to have a great day. We awkwardly stood there for a bit before having to ask where we paid. I think he thought someone else had rung us up but again.. a little disorganized. I do give them a bit of a pass though since it's their first week. Overall it was cute clean and a fun concept. Sicilian Baker Just opened 3 days ago, stopped by the bakery after eating at Sicilian Butcher for dinner. Lots of goodies from cookies, cakes, pastries and different size canolis from mini to sicilian (giant) size. We took home a chocolate dipped canoli with cookies and cream filling along with Italian wedding cookies and Pine nut cookies (looks like a Payday candy bar). Canolis are made and dipped and then when you order they fill the shell by hand and scooper. They also serve espresso and I believe other drinks like coffee. Very busy, the sign boards that list the items are mounted very high on the wall. Pretty darn good read more

We meet our son and his family regularly at Sicilian Butcher in Chandler for really good food for a reasonable price that is accompanied by warm competent and likable employees who always ensure we have a great family lunch. The servings are generous so our family members normally have a lunch for the next day. I was looking to try something new in NYE for a sweet treat. Stopped by to pick up some dessert as we rang in the new year from our couch. They were busy next door and there was a steady stream of people but overall it wasn't crowded and everyone was wearing masks, as required. I opted for the chocolate hazelnut cake, a flag cookie (the girl helping said it was her favorite) and a Nutella lobster tail. The chocolate hazelnut cake is every chocolate lover's dream in cake form. It is very rich and will make you want to re-consider ever eating a different chocolate cake again. Seriously I was blown away by how perfect it was. The flag cookie surprised me! I loved the flavor and so did my husband who typically doesn't care for almond flavor. The lobster tail ended up being my least favorite which I was surprised by bc Nutella=life. I think the pastry she'll should've been warm? Less dense? I'm not sure. The filing was yummy though. Overall I'm just looking for an excuse to come back and try more things as well as get more chocolate hazelnut cake.
