They sat me in a corner at the with a family right next to me even though the room had other empty tables (they were so close they bumped into my table when they got up to leave). I eat out alone pretty frequently and don't usually mind a small space but when the restaurant is half empty, they shouldn't be seating anyone in a corner at a table so small it could barely fit the relish tray, a salad and an order of fries. I was there for girl dinner with a book and wound up listening to this family's entire meal. The food was good, and I know this is a place meant for groups and celebrations but I still won't be back.

Their food is perfection every time I come. I come for happy hour and it has never disappointed. I ordered 6 small apps, escargot, scallops, 6 blue point oysters, cheese curds, and shrimp cocktail. The scallops which are done in an amazing cream sauce with bacon were so good I also ordered them with my ribeye which was cooked perfectly and practically melted when you cut into it, incredible. A Master Class in How to Lose Regular Customers…read more We've eaten here four times. Until now it was always fine -- not great, not terrible -- but usually saved by really good servers. This last visit? Not so much. Our server vanished almost immediately (except for one heroic soda refill). Meals were dropped by a runner and we were never checked on again -- despite the restaurant being nearly empty on a frigid Friday with more staff than customers, we still couldn't seem to get helped. I eventually had to go find the manager. In a place this slow, he could have easily gone table to table. He did not. My friend's chicken sandwich was inedible: gnarly, tendon-heavy, and made incorrectly after requesting almost everything removed (none of it was removed). My institutional burger and fries were a snore. They offered to remake my friend's meal to go. Out came... just a burger. No fries. No sides. Just vibes. Finding the manager on the way out and bringing up our issues: multiple disappearances, an attempted discount after she'd already paid cash, and finally a handful of dollar bills shoved into her hand with "I took care of it." He never really asked to resolve my complaints but at least I had something to eat. Final thoughts: * Food: increasingly mediocre * Service: vanished * Management: improvisational * Fries: missing in action The only reason we kept coming back was good servers. This time we had neither. We won't be returning.
