This ride is so much fun! They even make the line fun by showing short cartoons while you wait. We used a fastpass the day we rode this so I can't remember what they show in line, but I remember it's pretty funny. They also have more little videos playing while you're waiting in the interior waiting area, too. The ride itself used to be the Back to the Future ride and they still have almost the same car. It's one of the better simulation rides out there. I enjoyed it so much I forgot it was a sim ride for a bit. It really makes you feel like part of the cartoon. I think my favorite line went along the lines of "As long as you have even a dime in your pocket theme parks won't try to kill you" and "Foolish humans! You know every ride ends in the gift shop!" If you're a fan of the show you gotta check this ride, and the surrounding area, out It's just so much fun. read more

What could go wrong at a family theme park? SIDE SHOW BOB! Anyone who is into the simpsons franchise will love this ride. Once you enter the queue line it's somewhat blank and lacks show themed props. Once you enter the actual building in the ride loading area you are introduced to two different screens and some krustland themed cutouts. Once you load into the ride instruction Zone you are met with a stretch mirror which gets me and my friends every time and fill the box with laughter. To not spoil to much side show bob has some tricks up his sleeve like usual to kill the simpsons. The ride vehicle it's self moves and a giant screen is where most of the action takes place. If you intend of riding this ride I recommend coming here first while grabbing a giant donut at kwik e mart early in the morning to avoid most of the crowd. read more

Aside from the glory that is Diagon Alley, of course, Springfield is the best part of the Universal Studios theme park. The little strip is packed full of references, photo opps, and fun nods to the iconic show. Some favorites include Police Chief Wiggins outside the Lard Lad Donuts shop, the Bumblebee Man's Taco Truck, and the Comic Book Guy's shopfront (which really hides the bathrooms behind it.) They have various episode clips looping, all themed to the location that you're in -- so, clips from Moe's playing inside Moe's, clips from various restaurant scenes playing inside the main food court area, etc. The main Simpsons ride is very fun, if a little bit dated, and the Kang & Kodos Twirl & Hurl is an oldie but goodie. Maybe my favorite non roller coast set ride (well, next to the Harry Potter experience - though I like this better than Gringots Bank). The entire experience, is great. There's great views of the park (especially in late afternoon) as you walk up. The first waiting room has great graphics and great Simpson videos and tells the tragic story of Sideshow Bob's descent into madness. Then the ride pre room has great graphics and a great Simpson episode (and safety video). And then finally the ride itself. It's a fun filled rollicking good old time that touches all your senses: sound, vision, feel and smell. One tip, If you can, avoid being on the top row of Ferris wheel cars. As a hardcore Simpsons fan, I loved this ride. This and the Simpsons section of Universal in general was the main reason why I wanted to go to Universal when in the region for a friend's wedding, and neither disappointed. The wait was pretty short in mid-May, just 15ish minutes, and my fiance and I and a couple of our friends were soon in a little room with a few other people waiting for a ride to become available. There's several separate rooms, each with a cart that you climb into, that raises you up into the domed space above where you get to experience the "ride" in 3D animation. It's very immersive and fast paced as you tag along with the Simpson family in a theme park as they try to escape the villainy of Sideshow Bob. There was a lot going on, and the cart was very responsive to what was happening in the video, so it seemed quite real, or at least as real as animation can be. It even shook up my buddy who was beaded with sweat afterward, although he was able to keep that Krusty Burger down, luckily. If you're in the park, definitely check out The Simpsons Ride, although watch out if you're on the squeamish side or afraid of gigantic murderer teddy bears. read more

I was SO Upset, I was telling my daughter that the animation was great and that we would get a touch of water on our faces, I pumped her up, that the end I was WRONG. I like motion rides and this one is certainly one of the best. You will really feel like you are on a wild ride. I think that this is a must do ride at Universal. Always a favorite when I visit. This is one of the older "3D" shows where the seat pod moves and tilts, but you don't actually go anywhere.You feel like you're in the middle of Springfield with all the other Simpson's characters. Love baby Lisa! Grandpa is a hoot! Line was not terribly long when we went, but I can see it as getting long if you didn't hit this one up first. I'm glad we had the Express Pass or I would have wanted to eat a 9mm after I "experienced" it. Let me begin by saying The Simpsons Ride replaced the Back to the Future Ride. I LOVE Back to the Future so I was immediately upset to find out Universal had made the decision to remove the ride. However, I held excitement and hope for The Simpsons Ride. Disappointed truly doesn't even begin to explain what I felt when I rode The Simpsons for the first time. There was nothing really "new" about the ride. All Universal did was repaint the building, updated the "cars" for the ride, changed the "movie," and they removed everything Back to the Future related and replaced it with The Simpsons theme. The ride is still EXACTLY the same. You're just watching a different "movie." Really, Universal? You couldn't come up with something more imaginative and creative? You just did the same 'ole same 'ole? If you've never been to Universal, I'm sure you'll just love it and won't have a clue as to what I'm talking about with the Back to the Future ride. So yes, ride it. Have fun! However, for me, I will always be upset that we lost a perfectly good, iconic ride for this nonsense! read more

If you are a Simpson's fan this ride is a must. Even though it's a simuated ride, and an animated cartoon, it's so amazingly realistic that you feel as if you are on a moving coaster. Drops, dips, crazy movements. There actually is a story that is pretty funny and awesome at the same time with some unexpected surprises. The ride cart you are in moves all over the place and is such a well designed simulated experience you forget this is just really a movie you are watching. Plus, the ride itself is pretty long. Worth the wait on line. Also, when waiting on line you are treated to many funny scenes from past Simpsons episodes. I'm going back tomorrow to ride it again! I've been a BIG Simpsons fan since they made their first appearance on the Tracey Ullman Show (funny that they're still around 25 years later, but Tracey Ullman has disappeared). When we got ON the line, it was moving pretty slowly, but after about 20 minutes they opened up a new line for us and we were the first ones who got to head up the ramps. I love how they have constant clips running throughout the time you're in the queue...they've pulled great, laugh out loud clips for your constant entertainment. Anyway, the ride itself is a simulated ride, but it is great and will bounce you around even more than Spiderman...in fact, it might be the best simulated ride in the park... I know we can't REALLY be in a cartoon, but the ride makes you feel like you're right there in Springfield. I can't be 100% sure, but this felt like one of the longer rides in the park and for a 20 minute wait it was well worth it (PAY FOR THE EXPRESS PASS). I would definitely have this ride on the Universal Bucket List!!! read more

If you're lucky, you are in the view of some televisions playing the Simpsons but otherwise, have your phone with you for entertainment. This is my favorite ride in Universal Studios Orlando but the wait was the longest as well that day. It's a motion simulator ride with 6 individuals fitting into a pod at once. There's 8 or more rooms where the simulator is played at once for so the cycle for moving in the line involves having to wait for each cycle to complete. This ride along with many of the rides have a lot of TVs in the snake of ropes because it gives something for people to do leading up to the entry itself. Since for me the Simpsons is just so funny and my brand of humor it's actually enjoyable to see and hear everything having to do with the Simpsons leading up to the last line before the simulators. The storyline behind the ride is primarily having to go with Sideshow Bob and a giant sized Maggie. It's fun and you don't necessarily have to know about the Simpsons to enjoy it but it will make the experience even more fun if you are familiar with the Simpsons universe. The Simpsons have their own little slice of the park where there's Moe's Tavern, Kwik E Mart and other familiar Simpsons related things to see like Duff beer. Honesty, I was a little underwhelmed by this ride. The queue was colorful, shiny and fit well into the Simpson's Environment. The visuals before and during the ride itself was great and I appreciate the cinematic effort they put in. But when you break it down, it's another chaotic virtual rollercoaster, and it wasn't that inspiring. If they didn't use a well-known property, I probably would have graded this two-stars, but clearly they didn't want to disrespect the Simpsons. I can't say I would recommend this ride, but I wouldn't advise against it either. Be the judge for yourself. read more

I'm giving this ride 2 stars purely for how great they did with representing the ride and really making it look like you were entering a whole new amusement park. The Simpson's section is just so amazing and brings everything to life. But man, this ride just does not make my stomach feel good. EVER. And I have to ride it every single time I go because I'm always going with a new, different group of people. Honestly, they should take the time to renovate this ride and make it like how Transformers 3D and Escape from Gringotts is, that is at least more tolerable and fun. DO NOT ride in the back row, you can't see ANYTHING going on. It may be a good seat for people who are more sensitive for the ride (maybe, after all I was still nauseous after sitting back there). The wait for this ride was fairly long. The ride itself wasn't super long. Each "Car" has 2 rows of 4. If you have any adults in the first row, and you're sitting in the second row, you won't be able to see the screen. I was unable to see a good amount of what was going on. This ride was located in Krustyland. This was one of my favorite rides at Universal Studios. The line for this ride might always be long, but while waiting in line there was plenty of stuff to look at and keep you entertained. It's not an actual roller coaster ride, but the car that you sit in moves around to match whatever you see on the screen. It was nowhere near as scary or thrilling as a real roller coaster. One of the main reasons besides WWOHP to visit Universal Studios. Who wouldn't want to make The Simpsons a reality? Everything was designed perfectly just like the cartoon and the jokes are great. All the games have funny names, however are $6 a play. I easily won a Homer toy. The Simpsons clan come out every hour (I believe) and rotate with Krusty the Clown and Sideshow Bob. The Simpsons ride is right in the middle where Krustyland is. If you're searching for the Simpsons couch, I couldn't find it this trip. I think they took it out. The Twirl and Hurl is also located in the middle of Springfield and looks like you would hurl after riding it. The restaurants are really spot on with the theme and I enjoyed all of it. Die hard Simpsons fan. The Kwik E Mart is a fun souvenir shop with hilarious items and great decor. Loved it all. read more

This is a ride where you are in a buggy and you are in front of an interactive screen and it goes up cording to what is on the screen. You are in a buggy with about six other people. If you are a person that easily gets motion sick then this is not a ride that you should go on because they have a roller coaster park that makes the buggy bounce a lot and sway back and forth and it will get you very motion sick read more

This is a frenetic rollercoaster simulator, which felt like we were inside a hyperkinetic version of the Simpsons video game. My wife even got a rare bit of motions sickness because the movement was so intense. The ride is a tour de force through the Simpsons' cartoon world. Story? If I didn't get motion sickness easily I would give this 5 stars. If you get motion sickness, do not ride this ride. It has a lot of movement and bumps and I had to rest after getting out. It starts with a little movie in a room. It was 6 to a room, so hope you get lucky with your ride companions. The people we got assigned with would not stop talking during the little video and I didn't know what good ride etiquette would be to ask them to stop talking. After the little video in the room you move on to the ride. You just sit in a little car that tosses and turns during the simulation. It is insane how engulfed in the world you become. It was like the whole room became a video. It was constant movement, which eventually got to me, but the video was great. Funny storyline and you really feel like you're in the video. read more

Oh my goodness nostalgia all around for the Simpsons area! This ride wasn't what I expected once we got to the actual ride but for sure was fun. We tried to ride it the day before but it had an 50 min wait so we came back first thing the next day & had a 5 min wait. As per Simpsons it is making fun of amusement parks; as it is set in Krusty land. My daughter who hasn't watched much Simpsons enjoyed it and had a few laughs. The main part of the ride is that you are in a motion Cart that moves with the activity on the screen. As we had rode more intense rides before this one it felt a little more easy going than rides like the mummy but sill was worth it. I don't know if we would have felt that way with an almost hour wait but for under 30 for a Simpsons fan for sure. read more

Warning: This ride is not a good idea if you have back problems or are very sensitive to motion sickness. I love The Simpsons. I grew up with them, so I felt delighted upon entering Krustyland. The line is just fun and fairly fast moving. Simpson shows are played on the monitors throughout, movie posters with Simpson attractions adorn the walls, and even the last place you stand in line, before going into the Krusty car, has various Simpson characters talking and doing their bit. It just was fun. After that they usher you into another room where the scenario is laid out and then ushered into the room with the Krusty car. This is a simulator ride with limited movement, so there's no drastic drops or crazy spins but the screen will trick the inner ear and there's very sharp movements that is a bit hurky jerky throughout. But the ride is really fun as it immerses the viewer in a Simpson tale that will make you laugh and yelp. read more
