Such an amazing place to come for dinner or just drinks. We came here for my birthday recently and I was presently surprised with the ambiance, service and food. I loved the varieties of empanadas they have as well as the appetizers. There are so many to choose from. We ordered the melted provolone cheese skillet and it came with bread that was so fluffy and delicious. For our main we shared the sizzle platter. There is so much food that comes for two people and I was really impressed. I am a huge fan of chimmichurri and theirs is so fresh and vibrant. Can't wait to come back and try more off their menu!

The star of the night: 10/10: Sizzle MIX Charcoal BBQ Meats a traditional Argentinian style meal, served on a hot charcoal skillet. The short rib was amazing, great tastes on the meats. CHIMICHURRI SAUCE pairs perfectly with everything. The chicken though... tastes too much like... stinky chicken. To begin, were celiac. Our first question was, are we safe ordering just bbq meats for a family of 3. (Hubby, myself, child) Server was knowledgeable of full menu and had such a great personality. Our order was on point, we were well maintained. Sizzle Mix was huge for all 3 and still had leftovers. Only thing that wasn't ok to eat for us was the fries. Place was small and not crowded at the time of our visit. We were in the area and just happened to pass by and smelled the delicious bbq on a Saturday pre-rush timing. Very beautiful decor indoors. Downside: I opened the ketchup bottle to find a black rim all around the cap inside and on the glass bottle itself. Please clean those. Fruit flies were also lounging on the wall of our table. I killed two of them with a napkin and left it at the end of our table. The passionfruit sangria tasted too sweet, less wine. If thats your thing. Would visit again, but according to older reviews... I think this is the only thing we would order.

I've been here a couple times. Found this spot via Yelp looking for a dinner spot. Saw that it was an Argentinian spot so I had to stop by. I was born in Argentina so obviously gonna give this spot a try. Once you enter, you get a sense of a rustic restaurant vibe with brightly dim setting inside. My favorites were the variety of empanadas they serve. I have gotten a lot of them and my fave so far is the cheese steak empanadas which are accompanied by a variety of sauces. I had also gotten the especial piza which was solid and the Milanese steak which was also solid. Potato salad was interesting. I also had their sizzle mix which is a meat combo and it was solid and very filling. If you're in the mood for meats, empanadas and drinks, you can't go wrong stopping by here. I will be back for the empanadas. * Parking lot on premise * Good service * Full bar

3 1/2 stars - Enjoyed dinner at the bar. The bar height is a little too high & my legs were dangling off the chairs as there was no place to rest my feet. Bartender was friendly & explained some of the menu items to us. We started with the empanadas - delish! Also we got a cheese app that was very good & gooey. For dinner we shared the beef fajitas. They were just OK - meat was tough in places & hardly any peppers or onions in it. The pico de gallo came in a tiny cup & the tortilla's were too large. The flavor of the meat was good & the guac that came with it was good. The rice was undercooked. All in all, nice atmosphere & friendly service & well made drinks. I'd come back for drinks & empanadas & perhaps taco's next time. They need to work on the food.

This was taken after we already ate half there was so much food!

This place was absolutely amazing! We were skeptical at first because it takes a few minutes for someone to come and seat you so of course we're thinking oh great we're gonna be here for hours! But as soon as we were seated they brought over some very good bread with different spreads and drinks came out fast and then we ended up sharing the sizzle platter with all of the assorted meats and it was literally enough for at least four people. The rice and beans and fries were also amazing very fresh didn't even need anything to dip the fries in they had such good flavor! I think this is gonna be my new weekly spot!

Food was very good, the empanadas are excellent. The service staff on New Year's Eve was overwhelmed, but they did a wonderful job.

Argentine cuisine is a blend of influences from the Italian and Spanish immigrants with its chief national product, beef. They say the reason Argentine steak is so good is that its cattle graze on the country's plentiful pampas grass, rather than being grain-fed as American cattle are. The result is leaner, more flavorful, and more nutritious beef. One such establishment is on Moonachie Road in Moonachie, where my partners, our friends and I decided on Saturday dinner. Reservations were easily made via OpenTable. Upon entering this cozy, modern interior of Tango Steak as first-timers, we were greeted by the host and got a table right away. We were here 3 years ago when it was El Tango Argentina Grill. The vibe has completely changed. It's now darker and louder, not family-friendly. Music was at a decent volume and does seem to increase as it gets later, giving it a lounge type. As an appetizer, we started with Beef and Chicken Empanadas as well as Calamares (Calamari). For our main meal, we decided on the Extrana (Skirt Steak) with Mashed Potatoes & Chimichurri Sauce and Tango Burger accompanied with Fries. Food was good, not awesome. Our appetizers were tasty and well seasoned. The Skirt Steaks tasted fantastic with the Chimichurri Sauce. The Mashed Potatoes had a nice texture. However, some of us asked that their Tango Burgers be made medium but came out well done. The Fries were salty and very dry. Our service was horrendous, but our server was Nathaly who was accommodating and apologetic. Some of us had gotten their appetizer faster than others. The duration between our appetizers and the main meal was an hour. The food was not cheap given the portions received and the 20% gratuity added automatically to the bill. With insult to injury, their valet attendant charged $5. Definitely not what we expected, which is why we sadly can't recommend this place.

It was so good, I didn't even bother with dressing. My son had the daily special of chorizo tacos. While they did come on flour tortillas, which are not his favorite, the chorizo itself was absolutely delicious. I normally avoid chorizo because it can be super-spicy, but in this case, it was just beautifully flavored with touches of greens and onions on top. We both got the house-made lemonades to drink. One with mint and ginger, which my son quite liked (it's the one that looks like a green potion in the photos); one with lavender, which I adored. We were also offered toast with three different house sauces to try on it as a complementary appetizer. The decor and ambience is cozy, inviting, and charming. Service was prompt and courteous. Overall, this is a little gem of an eatery in Hackettstown that I can highly recommend.

So yes, by my highly scientific logic, this is also a Mexican spot. The decor definitely leans Mexico, heavy, which its amazing, kept reminding me of my favorite Mexican restaurant. But anyway, we're not here for interior design, we're here to eat. There's a LOT going on here, menu wise and vibe pwise, but in a good way. I ordered the Sandwiches de Miga 'Olímpico' and if you haven't tried them yet, that's a personal failure you can still fix. They're a must. Soft, classic, comforting... except for the edges. The edges were... questionable. Hard/frozen-ish. Not blaming anyone directly, maybe the fridge settings were on "Antarctica," maybe they weren't fully thawed. We'll never know. But that first bite hurt emotionally. It was like ordering a burger without pickles, taking a confident bite, and BOOM! pickle. Suddenly your whole day shifts slightly off center. Service wise: the guy at the counter stared at me, I started my order with zero greeting, felt like human self checkout, and I'm fine with that. Sometimes you don't want conversation, you just want carbs. Despite the frozen edge plot twist, I'm 100% coming back. The food has real potential, the place has character, and I need to try their asado.

We weren't super hungry, so can only comment on a few dishes, but what we had we really enjoyed: My friend ordered the grilled chicken breast -- which is just that: grilled chicken with a wedge of lemon -- so you need to order a salad or a side if you want veggies with that. I had the steak salad, which was EXCELLENT -- the steak was marinated in soy sauce and cooked through with onions, and then combinated with greens, tomatoes, avocado and balsamic vinaigrette. Topped the meal off with a shared dish of Swiss Chocolate ice cream, which was just perfect. For all that, plus a cocktail I had at the beginning, the bill came to around $100 before tip -- which is very good for NYC, especially in that area. I definitely would like to return and try more of their menu!
