We've eaten the pizza, its good for the cost but I guess the workers all are very rude to my wife to the point of making faces at her.

This is more than a shoutout... it is a full-on, well deserved tribute to Sully's Bistro in…read moreSuquamish. This review will be a bit long, but I feel it's important to acknowledge when businesses go well above and beyond... into orbit in this case. Not only did they work to exceed expectations, but to set the ultimate standard for customer service and to demonstrate a commitment to caring for people beyond the customer-business relationship. This post is also a message both as an endorsement for diners, but also an advisory to every other business in this county. Take note - this is a roadmap for how you win forever customers: Last Saturday, my daughter got married in Poulsbo, in a ceremony that involved guests from Alaska, California, and Colorado. On the Sunday morning afterward, my wife Gayle and I threw a brunch celebration for our out of town guests as a thank you for making the journey for our daughter's special day. We made the reservation back in February in order to ensure they would have room for 20+ guests. At some point between then and now, Sully's decided to stop serving brunch. We didn't need to be their problem. It would have been easy to call or email us and let us know that our plans would have to change... with sincere apologies and an explanation as to why - blah blah blah, and with enough notice to get a reservation elsewhere, maybe. They didn't. In fact, they didn't even tell us they'd stopped brunch service. Some of our guests were calling us and asking: "Hey, Google says they're closed. Are you sure about this?" We didn't know, but figured we'd show up and find out. Instead, Sully's made sure to have enough staff a few hours early on Sunday, enough food, broke out the old brunch recipe book and dusted it off, and cleared the patio and set it up. All of that work just to ensure our guests had brunch. And a fabulous time. This was solely for our benefit. They weren't going to make a lot of money on just our party. Truth be told, they might have even lost some on it. They could have just shrugged us off. But they honored their commitment, even though it was a hassle, and a lot of extra work. Even though it meant knowing they'd have to special order food just for us, even though it meant more expense. And - not to belabor the point - they trusted US to honor *our* agreement to come. They hadn't taken a deposit. We could have ghosted them, especially if we'd believed Google's page saying they were closed. After all, we were strangers to them. But they treated us like family. And then... ...they crushed it with the food, the drinks, the service. They setup a special U-shaped table, complete with linens and flowers, and showcased a view of the Duwamish Sea that is unmatched in Kitsap County dining. I'd list all the food items and give a review - each one a culinary gem. But that would be cruel. I'd be bragging about food we had that won't be available to the community at large again (unless they bring back brunch... pretty please). No, what I wanted to call out was how deeply touched my wife and I were at their willingness to honor their promise, our reservation, and then go the extra mile to make it special. They didn't have to. But they did. And our guests were incredibly impressed, both with the food and the service. Thank you, with our whole heart, to the people of Sully's... from the owner on down to the staff. You made our day so very special. And while they may not serve brunch anymore... I urge you to go there for lunch or dinner. Support a restaurant that demonstrates loves for its community through its actions, not just words or fancy FB posts. And get the wings! (My personal fave) You won't regret it. Cheers to you, Sully's! We'll be diners with you for life.

The buffalo wings were ok. The ones we had were pretty fatty so I wouldn't get them again. The flavor was your typical buffalo sauce. I liked it. The chowder was delicious! I'd get that again for sure. I ordered the cioppino. I loved it! Good amount of clams and shrimp. The fish was a little overcooked but tasted great in the broth. My husband got a turkey cheddar bacon melt, and fries. Fries were great, the sandwich not so much. Really dry and flavorless. Would not recommend. My blood orange fizz drink I got was really good. 2 stars, and I'm being generous…read more I came in with a friend and my toddler around 3:15 on a Saturday afternoon. We left at 4:45. There were maybe three other tables in the entire place. We started with the arancini, advertised as house-made risotto. The breading was too uniform and too thick to be house made by anyone who's actually made arancini. The center wasn't warm. The risotto inside was dry. The marinara was cold. I've had good arancini. This wasn't it. We ordered a medium pizza -- pepperoni and mushroom on half -- and waited. And waited. At some point our server came out to tell us the pizza had to be remade. I had a hungry, increasingly cranky toddler being held together with graham crackers. By the time the pizza finally arrived, he was done. The pizza itself: the pepperoni is listed as Liguria and it did cup, so I'll give it that. But the top of the pizza was swimming in oil -- more than pepperoni alone accounts for -- which suggests the cheese isn't doing any favors. The sauce and crust were genuinely good. I didn't hate the pizza. But the service? I've waited tables. I know how it works. I watch things. When we declined to order alcohol, our server's smile dropped noticeably. After that, he checked on us far less than the other tables -- and there were only three of them. We ran out of water. The manager came by, noticed our empty carafe, and filled it himself. That told me everything. The pizza had barely landed on the table before our server reappeared with his ordering device, Cheshire grin in full effect, check already sliding toward us. I told him I wasn't done yet when he asked about a box. His response? "Just want to make sure you're taken care of." That's a strange thing for an attentive server to say. A good server would have walked away and come back. He hovered. When we were actually ready to leave, there was no one to flag down -- my friend had to go find the server and the owner, who were hanging out together in the back, just to get a box. Two women with a toddler, mid-afternoon, three other tables in the restaurant, and we couldn't get water refilled or basic attention -- but we could get the check shoved at us before I finished eating. The crust and sauce have potential. Everything else needs serious work. One more thing worth noting: Google sits at 4.8 stars while Yelp comes in at 3.8 with a pattern of reviews that either love it or hate it. A full star gap between platforms is a meaningful discrepancy. Google reviews are anonymous and anyone can leave them -- draw your own conclusions. The Yelp split tracks with my experience. Your mileage may vary, but mine did not.

I had heard about the fried corn, but couldn't find it on the menu, anywhere. I finally asked, and the cashier said that they have it. It would be awesome if they would put it with the sides on the menu, then. I got the regular size instead of a large, since I've never had anything like it before. It was really good! It had a lot of Cajun seasoning on it. They have one of those fountain pop machines where you can mix whatever flavors of a whole bunch of different kinds of pop. I mixed citrus mello yello with lime mellow yellow. It was a successful experiment. Unfortunately, the wings were really average. They were a little tough and dry, and they weren't really flavorful. The Hawaiian didn't have a lot of sauce on it, and the sauce just wasn't really packed with flavor. The Louisiana rub had more flavor, but it was in the grease that dripped off of the wings. I basically had to dip the wings into the grease on the paper in the basket to get any flavor. I might be willing to give another flavor a try, in the hopes that it was just a fluke that the wings were unimpressive, as long as I can have the corn again.

The wings were great and cooked to perfection, coming out incredibly crispy on the outside while remaining juicy on the inside. Since we love a little heat, we tried the Habanero sauce along with the Reaper sauce. Both delivered a serious, flavorful kick that satisfied our craving for spice. To wash it all down, we paired the wings with an excellent local beer on tap, which rounded out the meal perfectly.Finding a spot that nails both the food and the service can be rare when traveling, but this place knocked it out of the park.
