Stop for some brews. Absolutely love this place. Good beer, we didn't order food. However what I saw looked good. Typical bar food. Friendly service, good prices and would go back. Restrooms are clean. I recommend this place before the ferry ride.

Classic Local Spot with Great Food, Drinks & Small-Town Charm The Filling Station in Kingston is exactly the kind of place you hope to find when visiting a small town--laid-back, full of character, and loved by locals. Just a short walk from the Edmonds-Kingston ferry, it's a perfect stop whether you're arriving in town or wrapping up a day of exploring the peninsula. Established in 1980, this bar and grill feels nostalgic in all the right ways. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, with plenty of memorabilia and personality on the walls. It's not fancy, but definitely not a dive either--just a cozy, welcoming place that clearly has a long history of good times. The cocktails are well made, the food is consistently delicious, and the servers are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Whether you're grabbing a burger, sandwich, or something off the daily specials board, the menu has something for everyone. The bathrooms can get a little messy during busy hours, but they're usually kept reasonably clean. And yes--lots of locals hang out here, which is always a good sign. All in all, The Filling Station is a great place to relax, enjoy a solid meal, and feel like part of the community--whether you're just passing through or lucky enough to live nearby. I definitely recommend it!

Service was fast and my sandwich was delicious. Tables were dirty when we came in but it didn't detract from the joint. Conveniently located as you come off the ferry.

Small pizza with double pepperoni... So good!

I'm local to this place and I love it. I've had the fish tacos many times and they are amazing. The chipotle sauce is the key. Anywho, this was the first time I got the double pepperoni pizza, and it was so good! It's a "build your own", not a specialty pizza on the menu. Anywho, the dough/slice is "foldable" and has good chew. IYKYK. So freakin good! Staff is amazing.

Solid food and great atmosphere. Easy to get to and easy to find parking. The burgers and pizza are always a good choice.

I love out local bar/ restaurant !! Come visit and try a Cobb Salad to order or one of their weekly specials. The staff are friendly they know the menu and are very tentative. We have been coming here for 6 years now its affordable delicious and friendly Also a if Carey is working you can order specialty drinks!! We like his HOT BUTTER RUMS... yum especially after a day of putting up Christmas lights in the cold :/

These little rolled-up burnt pieces of hard, fried breadcrumbs sold as "clam basket". No trace of any clam material.

Worst "dining" experience ever in my life. The drinks came in 10 minutes. Then we were completely ignored for at least an hour. ("Sorry, we had a lot of take-out orders today so we couldn't serve dine-in customers.") But wait! There's more! MUCH more & much worse! FALSE ADVERTISING: The menu had a "Clam Basket" that contained no clams. When it finally came, the server said "here's your 'clam STRIPS' ". Nothing about 'strips' on the menu and nothing about clams in the order. They were little worm-like bits of breaded breading, and burned, too. I couldn't eat a bite after tasting it. And there's nothing inside the breading but more breading. When you're hungry, it's more than disappointing to find out you'd be better off eating Shit! Why put garbage on the menu, or things that aren't even in stock? In addition, the coleslaw was rancid and also inedible. That left ketchup and mayonnaise. For $18 plus tax. They should call it an ale house and just sell ale. Or call it Captain Port-o-John's - with drinks. You're better off scooping your dinner from an outhouse. The Worst of the Worst of the WORST. I've been served rotted fish before, but never had burnt breadcrumbs masquerading as shellfish. Worst thing I've ever had in decades & decades of dining out. WORST OF ALL TIME. WOAT!

I'm sad to write this review... I have been eating here for about three years since we moved to the area and have always had a good pizzas. The last couple of times I've noticed the quality are going downhill and tonight is pretty much the last time we are ordering pizza from this place. I ordered a large pizza extra cheese onions and black olives with thick crust. What I got was super thin barely any cheese and pretty much flavorless. Hardly any sauce and the dough has lots of flour still on it. Sorry to say, we won't be back until we are sure you've fixed your process. Edit: The people are nice.

Ambiance - Cool little converted 2-story flat that has been converted into one business downstairs…read moreand the restaurant upstairs. Entrance is down a short alleyway and up a set of stairs in the back. Tizley's sits on the main drag downtown and didn't appear to have a view of the water per se, but the (limited) balcony dinning sits right over all the action going on down on the street...which seemed cool, though my wife and I elected to sit indoors on this day. Inside is very nicely decorated in a Austro-Bavarian tavern/pub style. Pretty cool and this was exactly what my wife and I wanted when we decided on eating lunch here. FB marketplace brought us to town for the day and Yelp brought us to Tizley's. Service - we hit Tizley's right at high noon and they were pretty busy. Despite this, we were seated within ten minutes - a nice surprise as the hostess (and possibly owner/manager??) initially cited us a 20-minute wait. Our waiter was prompt, friendly, and very efficient throughout our entire meal. He checked in on us frequently and ensured we were enjoying our meal. Food - I had the Wiener schnitzel and my wife had the Jägerschnitzel - both of us had mash and spaetzle as our sides. Both of us enjoyed our schnitzels - in my case, I was truly happy their Wiener schnizle was in fact a veal cutlet and not pork... which I've found to be a common substitute here in the PNW. Beer menu was robust and had an emphasis on German-styled beers! We will definitely be back!

I made a reservation for our party just in case as it was a Saturday night. The restaurant is actually located upstairs and access is gained by walking along the side of the building down a small alley. Thankfully another reviewer mentioned this. Many German dishes were on the menu. My group opted we share a large pretzel as an appetizer. Totally a wonderful home made pretzel served with bier cheese and two different types of mustards. I ordered the jaegerschnitzel with German potato salad. The schnitzel had a wonder flavor and it was covered in a mushroom gravy. I was so impressed with the potato salad. It was a flavorful pair to the schnitzel. This meal felt like someone's grandma made it. Everything was made from scratch and you could taste it in every bite.

When you go in, you go and order and pay at the counter first, then sit down with a number and wait for your food to be brought out to you. Service at the counter is friendly and food comes out fast -- water and utensils are self serve, but you do not need to bus your own table. The vibe of the place is casual, with a couple of TV screens set to various sports channels and old music on the playlist. The two of us shared a full portion of the Washington apple salad, I had the meatloaf burger, and my dinner buddy had the mushroom stroganoff, which he enjoyed. Portions are generous here, I am happy to say, and we were absolutely stuffed afterward. We honestly probably didn't *need* to order the salad, but we were both wanting the vegetables to balance out the meal. The salad was huge and full of beautiful fresh leaves, dressed lightly but evenly with a great vinaigrette, topped with crunchy apple chunks and slices, walnuts, and blue cheese. It's delicious but actually feels healthy. The meatloaf burger is awesome. The meatloaf itself is moist, not overly bread crumby, well seasoned, and there's a right thick slab of it in the sandwich. This is honestly a perfect burger, despite not being a typical burger. Eating this is not a graceful endeavor, stuff falls out left and right, but who cares. The small cup of slaw on the side is solid and adds some textural variety. Definitely a great place for a tasty, filling, casual meal. Next time I hope I can actually try some Cornish pasty.
