We came to Slope Side as part of a celebration for my Father's 75th Birthday. The atmosphere is nice with 7 Springs Iconic slopes viewed from the large windows. Our server was awesome, so friendly and attentive. She made the meal special for my dad and our family. The food is just ok. This restaurant is not worth your money. Do not go OR come here. Honestly the bar across the way and the chicken tenders at the fooggy goggle are more worth your money. I would eat here again only if it were my only option. I had shrimp saganaki. There seemed to be too much tomato sauce, and it was too sweet. The shrimp were tough. My friends both ordered the seafood boil that the menu listed as "shrimp, mussels, clams, smoked sausage, red potato, onion, and corn ..." and they both decided to send it back as inedible. Only one of them liked and ate their second choice entree, which was the Ahi tuna appetizer with seaweed, which was pretty good. Too many entrees heavy on breading, smothering with cheese, and too much tomato sauce. The salad bar was mediocre; better than the entrees, but nothing special. Service was good once we got seated, but there seemed to be a lack of control at the entrance where we waited 5-10 minutes while it appeared that other groups barged in and seated themselves, out of turn. Unfortunately the quality within this restaurant has slowly slipped through the cracks over the years. They've done away with the soup and salad bar most nights and the regular menu options are just strange. The only thing that sounded appealing wasn't even available on the menu tonight which we didn't find out until we had settled on ordering it. The $9 special soup of the day was mind-bogglingly salty. Food also takes way too long to come out even when the restaurant is empty. We waited probably 30 minutes for very basic desserts tonight. I had forgotten what I ended up ordering after I finished my soup because it had been THAT long. I don't blame the servers because they were very kind and mostly attentive. This place has just lost its magic over the years and it makes me extremely sad because used to have such a cozy and gorgeous Slopeside vibe. It still could but guests are rarely seated where they can see the skiers. We were sat in the far back of the very long restaurant even though it was completely empty when we got there. I felt bad for how far our server continually had to walk to bring our food or take plates away. Bring back the salad bar, stop making the menu so weird. Like, butternut squash queso? Is that really necessary? Red wine was also chilled which is not typical. Noticed a lot of dirty dinnerware as well. Probably will skip next time even though Slopeside was always our tradition as a family. read more

The ambiance is nice as you overlook the ski slopes and mountains and beautiful trees. The service was good, staff was nice. The food was below average in the Autumnfest buffet. The stuffed chicken breast was almost impossible to cut and tasted like something frozen and microwaved that came from a wholesaler. Was looking forward to the pumpkin roll for dessert but it was so sweet I couldn't eat it. The vegetable soup was fine but not as good as what we had for lunch at a family restaurant nearby. Average quality was the upside. Would have given it 2.5 stars if I could. Nothing to write home about and not worth almost $80 with tip for two for the buffet. The view is fun, spacious and comfortable dining room. Pleasant staff, menu is very limited. Hit or miss on food, some entrees perfectly executed with some barely above deli food. Quality could be due to pandemic shortages, though creativity could be higher. Tip, their reservations book up, but there is always seats set aside for walk ins. read more

The Slopeside Dining Room is beautiful, spacious, and has a great video of the ski mountain. We were there on the Saturday before Halloween when we decided to get the buffet dinner. Like the rest of the resort, the dining room was decorated beautifully, and some of the servers wore costumes. The buffet was set up as nice as ever. We first had the curry soup and found it to be delicious. Next we enjoyed the salad bar. It was well-appointed and everything was very good, including a nice selection of (I think 6) dressings. The breads were on the main course buffet and, as always, were great. I tried the seafood orzo and liked it. I had some steamed broccoli, which was beautiful but undercooked. I had to use a knife to cut it and it was crunchy, while it should break apart with a fork. There were a few other disappointments: mashed potatoes were a little dry, and I wished they were creamy. The sauteed veggies had lost their flavor. The goulash had good flavor and was good except for the beef, which was tough and not good. We usually slow cook the beef for a while before adding the other ingredients when we make goulash. This step was probably skipped. The desserts were beautiful but from setting out for some time, the cake pieces we ate were mostly dry and hard, although they tasted good. On the plus side, the piece of salmon that I had was very good. Our server, Maria, was very sweet and she took good care of us. The ambiance and service was great, but in retrospect, the next time we will try a different (and less expensive) option. The buffet dinner was not what it used to be. There are large windows all along the side where you can view the slopes. I love the breakfast buffet, there is a nice variety of sweet and savory options. If you want the best view of the slopes while getting a bite, The Slopeside Dining Room is the spot for you. My family and I spent part of the day at Seven Springs, and before leaving, we wanted to get a bite for lunch. The hostess immediately showed us to a table, which was right next to the large windows. And our server was just behind her, with water and menus for all of us I decided to go with the onion soup. It was a cold winter day -- soup was what was needed. And it hit the spot. The cheese was deliciously melted on top, and the soup itself was salty, flavorful. I also got a house salad to go with it. My husband, his father and his father's girlfriend opted for the buffet. I nibbled a bit from my guy's plate, and all of it was good. The salad he came back with was particularly impressive, piled high with all of the fix-ins. The desserts were my fave part of the buffet. Chocolate, mint, cheesecake and more -- you could try it all. Slopeside provided just what we needed before heading out. If I'm ever back, I'll be sure to get a bite here. read more

Great breakfast buffet! There's a nice selection of pastries and a wonderful parfait bar. The omelette station is great and you can even ask for an egg white omelette! They always have omelettes, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, sausage links, bacon, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, and pastries. Everything I tried was pretty tasty and I'd definitely recommend including breakfast in your package if you're staying at the Seven Springs lodge. The dinner buffet was also excellent. The salad bar is a little lacking but all the entrees and vegetables were delicious. There's a wide variety of items so it will please even the pickiest of eaters. The dessert table is also pretty good. The servers were all really nice and refilled our waters often. Overall great experience. Absolutely over rated food , way over priced, there were issues with our bill and trying to talk to them about it was like trying to talk to a brick wall . They have a policy in regards to gratuity with large parties over 8 (we were 7 and still charged gratuity) also with reservations but they clearly don't even read there own policy The management was really difficult , very rude to talk to and they overcharged up by a lot and just couldn't understand the math . I imagine she has a hard time calculating a bill since she only has 10 fingers and 10 toes . If your dinning here Bring your calculator and double check your bill . We had the breakfast package so we ate the buffet both mornings at Slopeside. Great view, can't beat it. Our first morning was a Sunday. The restaurant was packed. They had a GREAT breakfast spread. I couldn't believe they had 2 full tables of donuts but apparently there is a demand for them. They had a chef making omelets and there were several hot items on the buffet- waffles, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage. Staff were great and attentive. Our second morning was Monday morning and it was EMPTY. Only a few other people were there. The breakfast spread was a lot smaller and the omelet station was not there. We went to Slopeside for an early dinner when we stayed at Seven Springs. The service was excellent as well as the food. We shared the buratta and beets as an appetizer which was delicious. I had the French onion soup and it had a nice cheese to soup ratio. Cheese with every bite! . Then I had the bruschetta fettuccine which was good but I would try something else next time. The next morning, we came back for breakfast. I wish I could say the quality was as good as the night before, but it was just not good at all. Food was being served by the staff which was fine but every bite of my food was cold. Also, I asked for a sugar substitute like sweet n' low, Splenda, equal for my coffee and they didn't have any. This is the first time in my life that a restaurant did not have offer a sugar substitute. The service was ok though. The setting and location of Slopeside was great. But for Seven Springs to tout this as their 'upscale' dining experience, it lacked severely. Four of us ate together on a Friday evening. They offered a dinner buffet. Not to be judgmental, but if a restaurant has a dinner buffet, you can't call it upscale. On to the food - ugh. The cavatelli tasted like it came from my college cafeteria. The chicken used in the cavatelli was obviously pre-cooked and dry. And then there was the steak. $32 for a steak dinner that I couldn't even cut because it was so fatty. It was undercooked terribly, but even if cooked well I don't think it was a good grade of beef. This was a $14.99 Ponderosa steak at best. The staff was attentive and nice, so I'll bump it up to a 2 star. But trust me, it's overpriced for what you get. read more

Fairly typical resort dining, but with a great view. For dinner, I had gluten-free pasta with pesto sauce, which was good, but nothing special. Bonus points for providing a decent gluten-free bread with my meal. That is a rarity. My companions seemed to enjoy the breakfast buffet, but again, the offerings were pretty typical. At breakfast, the tea choices were extremely limited and the waitress commented that it had been "a busy weekend." From a food service operation of this size, caliber and cost, I expect more. Would I return? Probably - if I again find myself at 7 Springs. But if Slopeside were a restaurant in my community where I have plenty of options, I'd pass. read more

We have been coming to Slopeside for Easter brunch for about 10 years now. It has always been amazing. What a huge disappointment this year. Sadly to say we will be looking for another place to dine for Easter brunch. The eggs appeared to be powdered egg mix. The items that brought us here were the omelet station, pasta station, the crab legs and the meat carving station. One mimosa was always included with your meal. The only thing that didn't change was the price. The food they did have was less than good. They blamed a lot of the issues on being understaffed. If you can't provide what you are charging for you should cancel the event. On the positive, if you love shrimp cocktail it was delicious and the deserts were good. Don't go for dinner off the menu. Nothing we ate or drank was good. Everything was cold. Don't have martinis. Don't have the rigatoni, the sticky chicken, the bruschetta. Don't have a salad with grilled chicken. And for many menu items, they "were out". I think everything is prepackaged and frozen from Sysco, so microwave and serve. Bring your own food and eat in your condo when visiting 7 Springs. We didn't complain because it was apparent it wouldn't make a difference. read more

Food was great, the service was great! Social distancing and masking up were practiced really well. The waitress helped us pace out our food so we could also enjoy libations while staying in line with policy. We had a wonderful view of summer on the slopes and really got to enjoy ourselves. Unlike the other places we tried inside of the resort there was no wait and it was not uncomfortably packed. Definitely make this your stop or choice if dining in Seven Springs during pandemic! read more

How can I ever turn down eating an omlette while overlooking the beautiful slopes of seven springs? I ate breakfast here for two days and absolutely loved it. Everything from the fruit to the waffles was super fresh. They dont wait until the tray to swap out the food which is always nice. For breakfast they serve the standard cereal, fruit, eggs and waffles but also have speciality things like a chef made omlette and an entire table full of donuts (dangerous but delicious!). I also highly recommend trying the sausage gravy and the mini jams they have in tiny jars. If youre not coming for the food the view of the slopes is enough of a reason to come. I really wish they had outside seating so we could enjoy the nice weather in the spring but understand how this wouldnt be feasible for the fall. I do agree with Sammi below about the children here being let loose by their parents. While I understand kids are hard to supervise letting them run loose is a health hazard. During my second day eating here I noticed that a child spread butter over his toast with peanut butter already on it, dropped the knife on the floor, and then stick it back into the butter bowl. Dropping the knife on the floor is already gross but using it to touch PB is a serious health hazard for those with a peanut allergy. The restaurant should definitely have someone gaurding the food or mandate that parents have to go with their children to the buffet area. read more

We recently had a late lunch here on the busy President's Day Weekend. The resort was quite busy, of course. The food we ordered was excellent. We ate every bite ! The server was very pleasant. She thanked us for our patience with the time for lunch to arrive with a basket of fresh bread and rolls - a very nice gesture. Overall, great sandwiches and service. My husband and I ate two meals--dinner and breakfast--in the Slopeside restaurant inside Seven Springs. Breakfast was better than dinner--4 stars versus 3 stars. Both waitresses had nice personalities and regularly checked in with us to bring our food and drink refills. Dinner: The chili (2 stars) had too much tomato sauce, so my husband ate only a couple of bites. The mini pierogies (3 stars) had a tasty potato filling and a good amount of onions and butter. The 12-ounce strip steaks (2 stars) were overcooked for both my husband and me, and they lacked flavor. The green beans (4 stars) were cooked and seasoned well. The rice (3 stars) was cooked well but was a little bland. The creme brulee (5 stars) had a sweet filling and a perfectly hard sugar top as well as several fresh berries. The chocolate cake (4 stars) had some raspberries on top, and my husband called it the "best thing so far." Including beverages of tea and free tap water, the total bill for dinner for two people was $107 plus a tip. Breakfast: I rate all of the following foods 4 stars: orange juice, fruit cup, cottage cheese, bacon, danishes, muffins, and omelette. The sides of potatoes were a little overcooked, hard, and dry, so I rate them 3 stars. The total price for breakfast for two people was $33 plus a tip. read more

Now I ask you, where can you go and have a wonderful meal while watching people ski? I have been to Aspen, and I don't remember a place where I could do this and have such a great view! They also have a salad bar which in my parts are hard to find! My friend had the French dip sandwich and it was gigantic! The salad bar is fully stocked and loaded with items to choose from, including soup and desserts. I highly recommend the slopeside dining room. The service is excellent as well. read more

I am captive at the Seven Springs Resort. My husband is attending a week long conference. The problem? I'm allergic to gluten; there is poor variety on the overpriced menu; and, I don't have my car to escape. The best choice for me has been the salad bar, though I was surprised that I cannot even eat their broth-based soups. (FYI Only the poorest quality broths contain gluten - at least in my experience.) For the prices charged, I'm surprised they use gluten-based broths. I've ordered the Pistachio Chicken with rice (overcooked and dry in my opinion) for $19. My husband laughingly says that he barely managed to choke down his pork chop (overcooked and dry in his opinion) with mashed potatoes and four green beans for $19. Last night I paid $30 for a T-Bone and a handful of French fries. The seasoning was a bit overpowering, but at least I was able to choose the cooking times by stating how I'd like my steak. The unlimited salad bar is the freshest and best priced deal at $10, including unlimited desserts. (The cheesecake, plain, and the Creme Brulee are their gluten-free options.) The view in the restaurant is excellent; the staff is friendly; but, all in all, the food is extremely overrated in terms of taste and quality and definitely way overpriced. And if you are traveling with a gluten-free child, expect to pay the big menu adult prices. Everything on the Kid's Menu is the typical low quality fare you usually see - hamburger, chicken planks, mac-n-cheese, etc. read more

More creative dishes, farm to table, etc. The views are awesome - assuming the hostess gives you a good seat. Service - remains TERRIBLE Hostess- will always try and sit you at the worst spot. While many nice window seats are open, they will try and seat you away from the windows and far away from the buffet. Why??? Dont accept the first seat you are offered! Wait staff- I think there is a management or compensation structure problem here. Dishes are never cleared quickly, no team work (another waiter will not help out another), no bus boys. Wait staff is always chit chatting, apathetic to customers and seems to be unmotivated. This could be a great restaurant but the waitstaff needs some new blood (including management) and some moral boost. Make this place great and revamp the service staff, please! read more
