Awesome date location! It was super easy to reserve a time slot and they were even flexible when I was a few minutes late. Definitely grab a drink before you get started--they offer a great selection of beers on tap and in cans. Jason showed us the basics of throwing and we got to it. Honestly, neither of us had a talent for it, but it was fun nonetheless and time just flew by. Jason felt a little sorry for us I think and came by with a throwing knife for us to try--I found it very fun to throw and was much more successful with it. Great staff and a fantastic time. Ok- fun!!!! We had never been axe throwing before and decided to give this place a try. We ditched our kid for date night and this was the perfect place to go!! We made a reservation online and checking in was a breeze. Nick taught us both how to throw and we were off! They don't serve food, but you can bring your own, and with plenty of options nearby (pizza, Chipotle, Jersey Mike's, Mochinut) there's plenty of casual options to choose from in walking distance. They do serve alcohol and had beers, hard seltzers and fireball. A fun date night well spent we will definitely come back. read more

Nick, our host and trainer, was super friendly and helpful. My party of five women was enjoying a birthday party and harnessing some relationship anger while chucking blades. The venue was clean and well lit, had good music playing, was busy but not too busy, and had a wide variety of beverages available. Nick ga e us stickers and rang a bell when we got bullseyes, and he also swung by several times to give us throwing advice when needed. It turns out, some of us have a hidden talent. We came here with our work team to celebrate the retirement of one of our buddy's and we had a blast. Nick was very helpful and friendly and even let us taste a couple of beers that he recommended before we purchased it. Complete your reservation online and you'll have to also complete a waiver. After all, drinking alcohol and throwing a sharp object can be dangerous. One warning though for "newbies" when you hold the axe over your head DO NOT HAVE THE SHARP END towards your head! My cousin did that and I swear he could have cut his spinal cord! The worst service! We were meet by the most unfriendly costumer service representative named Chantel. We were trying to have a great family day and celebrate my sons 15th birthday. Instead we were greeted with a rude do you have a reservation (on a Sunday at 1pm) if not it's gonna be a problem. The place was empty except for one other couple. We ended up leaving and went to GET AXED Lincoln 8 minutes up Hwy 65. The people were friendly, the vibe was amazing, cheeper and they have way better axe games (301, cricket, zombies, tic-tac-toe, etc). Smart Axe just has the static painted targets to throw at. The Smart Axe - the name is a bit deceiving. We were thinking this place had digital screens where you add your name to keep score and play digital games. For $25 per person/per hour, you get a lane filled with hay and 1 axe to use. There is a laminated paper on the wall with a few suggestions for games and a tiny cheap chalkboard to keep score. It was underwhelming, to say the least. Overpriced, too. The music they played was awful, and there were about 4 drink selections. Considering you can pay $5 less per hour for a better experience at GetAxed, I would not come back here. GetAxed has a much better ambiance, and service, plus digital screens, multiple axe/weapon types, a plethora of games, bigger tables, and tons of drinks to choose from. read more

This game is so much fun and I love when places like this open. We need more entertainment in this world that brings people closer together and creating those memories that make us happy when we think of them. The price is just right, the music is amazing, the staff is friendly, and it is super easy to book. The three star is because things feel really unsafe. A bunch of amateurs throwing axes and the only way in and out of the area is to walk a foot behind them. Add in 4 people per lane and alcohol this is going to go bad one day. There was a little chalk board to keep score that did not have the adequate space to keep track so we kept track in our heads. I think there just needs to be more thought on how to arrange the space because there was not even a table to put our drinks on so we used a seat. I am no pro at axe throwing but I do feel things could be arranged to be safer for people. read more

Great fun, great prices, and great customer service from the two gentlemen with J names. We originally went to Top Golf but their wait was too long. As we were driving to find some pizza, we saw this place and stopped in. Glad we did. Not only was there no wait, it was very affordable (more so than golf), and us two adults and even our teenager had a fun time together (if you have a teen, you know that is saying a lot :)). We came here for travel and it was in the same parking lot as our hotel, we'd never tried axe throwing before. I would totally recommend this location; the staff were super nice, we booked a last minute time slot and it was a very chill experience. They teach you the obvious safety rules and watch and coach your throwing for each person in the party before leaving you to go to it. They were super inviting and this particular location lets you order in food from other nearby businesses. They only serve beer and seltzer (it's kid friendly too, so there's non alcoholic fare), but it is definitely a good time if you're on a date or out with the family. We stopped by to go to Top Golf and that didn't work out due to a long wait time so we still wanted to something, we stopped in to try it out and it was definitely a good time, it was my family of 4, my 13 year old son kicked our butts lol.
