My first was amazing with the service and the waffles so why I returned. But the second visit the waffles they gave me were burnt. My first visit I got to try the waffle of the week which had nutella and fresh strawberries. It was delicious. I also had the campfire and the OG. One of my favorite places in Greenville! All the waffles I've had here are absolutely delicious! They are known for their sweet toppings, but do not sleep on the savory ones. The Stinger is spicy chicken in a sweet Belgian waffle, and it is the perfect sweet and spicy combination. And the hash browns are well seasoned and cooked perfectly. I also love that they extend their hours the second half of the week so there is an opportunity to get a sweet treat after walking around Dickinson Ave at night. He was patient as we looked through the menu. He recommended for us to get the half a dozen waffle tray which includes their famous five waffles and the waffle of the week. I was leaning towards the healthier option; Swisskey. Egg white + turkey sausage + Swiss. I also had their Insane Lattes; Full Moon. White chocolate + chocolate. Literally this place is waffle phenomenal. They don't use regular waffle batter but use a special dough that they hand roll everyday. Talking with the staff, I learned they went to Belgium to learn how to master the Belgium waffle technique. Aside from the waffle platter, we got an ice cream sandwhich waffle that was amazing (campfire style) and my girlfriend got the Chatty Patty which is a breakfast style waffle sandwhich with a sausage patty, ham and cheddar cheese. There's literally something here for everyone and you can have every meal here - they even have a chicken breast waffle combination. Drink wise they serve specialty made lattes, their coffee comes from a nitro draft and they also do a cool hot shot challenge (you get to keep the shot glass). Located in a gentrified neighborhood, this restaurant focuses on creating absolutely delicious waffles. We tried both the waffle sandwiches (chicken) and also took some dessert waffles home. The food is hot and fresh and nice prepared. I enjoyed the spicy kick in the chicken waffles that bit but was not overpowering. The homemade sauces to accompany the sandwiches are awesome so you can adjust the taste to your liking. Coffee is excellent here too. We enjoyed the dessert waffles after we got home. From what he told me and what I could gather, this seems to be a locally owned restaurant, which I love to support. It is in the heart of uptown and is surrounded by other neat, fun places. Great concept, the food was actually not bad...but the execution needs some work. We were told 20 minutes for food, but actually took 35 minutes. And the didn't make one of our orders so took another 10 minutes for that food to come out. The waffle person is cranking out waffles, but the two guys putting things together seemed to have no clue what they're doing. There didn't seem to be a manager on-site so they likely just need a training program and some good procedures to move things along. read more
