So disappointed with this place. My first visit was great but when I was referred to get 2 root canals, I was sent to an endodontist who did a terrible job on both of my root canals and to top if off never even put a temporary crown on either tooth. My second root canal with their referred endodontist left my face swollen and I was unable to lift the left side of my face, I left the office and walked around for 2 days looking as if I was having a stroke and had to miss work. When I called this dentist to schedule for my crowns they tried telling me that I would have to pay nearly 800 bucks for a METAL crown per tooth and I needed 3!!! That's with insurance, so ridiculous. When I told them if they are able to place a temporary crown until my insurance changes in less then a month they refused. I will not go back to this place, they don't deserve my service. All this office cares about is money. So if you have money to waste on mediocre dental work then this is the place for you. read more

Dr. Jedian did a decent job, but he took unnecessary X-Rays and grossly overcharged my insurance, which almost resulted in my defaulting on payment. I called his office and let them have it, and they dropped the charge-- which shouldn't have even been on the bill in the first place. Still, I was very upset at them for trying to slip that into the bill in the first place. You can easily do better than this place. Keep shopping. read more

Terrible! They acted like they were charging my insurance, but never even submitted the claim, then overcharged me $1200 for the service. One tooth extraction is incomplete, with part of tooth still there so it won't heal fully. Never going back! read more

I was referred to Dr. Jedian by my friend. I haven't been to a dentist in years and being a smoker my teeth were in need of a DEEP cleaning. After two visits my teeth were shining like I never thought they could. He didn't use any blazers of bleach just a propped cleaning. Dr. Jedian is wonderful. Very skilled, gentle, friendly... To say that he's my favorite dentist, isn't enough. As a child I had many cavities and orthodontic issues and learned to loathe going to the dentist. Not any more. Dr. Jedian has a calm demeanor and is friendly without being intrusive. But most importantly, he is very skilled at his job, with a gentle touch and nimble hands. What could be rather painful with another dentist is as smooth and as painless as possible. He is also very thoughtful when it comes to deciding what work needs to be done, and values your input if there's a decision to be made. I really like this Dentist a lot. He doesn't try to up sell you like so many other do, and he is very honest. I went there recently because my old dentist was trying to up sell me on a drug for your gums called Arestin that cost $600! That of course, my insurance wouldn't pay, so I had to pay for. I had a very bad experience with that dentist, so I went to smile makers, and not only did they see for for a FREE to look at my gums, but they told me I DON'T need Arestin, and just a good deep cleaning with flossing is all I needed. I left there feeling good about my experience, and I highly recommend Dr. Shahrokh Jedian. He is a good Dentist. read more

Have been going to Dr. Jedian since I moved from NYC 4 years ago. Have never had problem getting an appointment. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Appointments never take longer than they should (I've always been bothered by other dentists that keep you waiting a long time.) Dr. Jedian is always very kind, informative and professional. I've had cavities filled, crowns placed, and standard cleaning and have been satisfied and happy with all results. Also, I like the fact that Dr. Jedian is also a professor at the USC school of Dentistry. I called to see if they had an opening and they said they could take me right away. The staff was very nice, especially Dr. Jedian. I felt like he actually cared, which is rare for dentists in LA. Hi! Went in to Smile Makers to pick up some gel for my bleaching trays and noticed Dr Jedian was available. I was actually feeling a bit of temperature sensitive in one of my teeth. He took a quick xray and assessed the problem. He was truly wonderful as were the ladies at the front desk! The office was immaculate and I noticed as soon as I got out of the chair, the assistant started wiping the room down for the next patient, I love an immaculate dentist office! Highly recommended!! Unprofessional. Went in for a teeth whitening package I purchased . Not only could I barely understand the nurse through her ascent but she got impression modeling all over my face and made a mess on my clothes. And then the dentist felt it was ok to skip my cleaning even though it was part of the package I paid for. Total scam!!! read more

I have had very positive experiences with Dr. Jedian and I consider myself a dental wimp. I've had 5 or 6 office visits so far and each has been positive. He has an excellent bedside manner. He is a perfectionist, and a USC grad which in my experience generally results in solid dentistry. During one of my visits, he did a crown and even after the novocaine wore off there was zero sensitivity or pain. The staff (Kneisha and Michelle) are very helpful and friendly. I had a chipped tooth that was filled when I was a kid and it lasted 33 years before it fell out. I went to here to have it filled again and it fell off after only 6 months!!!!!!!!!!!! My experience with Dr Jedian has been a delight, I had lots of work done here. To be exact, i had 5 cavity fillings , 3 crowns and a root canal done here. I was soooo afraid to go to the dentist because I knew I needed a lot of work and had bad experiences in the past. Dr Jedian was AMAZING from the moment I met him and he immediately put me at ease with his calm yet funny demeanor. I saw him 5-6 times over 2 months and every time I left I felt like it was no big deal. I had a cleaning, a few cavities filled, and two crowns....all which was a breeze. If I knew it would have been this easy and painless I wouldn't have waited so long to make a dentist appt. I strongly recommend him and Maria ESPECIALLY if you are a scaredy cat like me. There aren't enough stars to give Dr. Jeddian and his staff!! My 89 year old mom hadn't had any dental care in years and was terrified of going to the dentist. I chose this office for her based on the great reviews. Everyone raves about The Smilemakers...and for good reason! Dr Jeddian is fantastic, patient and kind and put my mom at ease from the moment she met him. He carefully explained that she needed done and helped us make the right decisions based on what would be best for her. He even managed to make her laugh during her treatment..no small feat for my frightened mama! :) Everyone that works here is wonderful. Dalia at the front desk actually walked my mom out to a taxi on one of her visits and then called me to let me know she was ok because she knew I was concerned about her.
