Showed him a coupon fo 79.75 the pipsqueek says it only applies to light duty trucks. He proceeded to show me that it is in fact a light duty still would not honor the coupon saying they had to use a different machine/ it was too much work. I came in for my first ever smog check on a vehicle. Both of the men that helped me were very polite and quick. It only took about 20 minutes for it all. The man who I presume to be the owner was very knowledgeable and made a recommendation about a repair on my car that I was unaware of. He explained everything very thoroughly and patiently. As a woman I get nervous doing anything on my car alone but this business was very respectful and I felt very comfortable. I felt that pricing was reasonable as well. Complaint: TL;DR I returned with a printed coupon from their website and they refused to test my car. I called ahead to ask about prices and coupons. They said they didn't have coupons, but their website said otherwise. When I arrived and showed them their website, they said "Must Present Coupon At Time Of Line Up" means it must be printed 1. The website did not say physically or printed 2. there was no print option, it wasn't even a picture. It was just text in a box, so the only way was to print the entire page. I understand it is a private business they make their own rules, so I complied and returned home to print a copy. Due to poor formatting of their website it printed 7 pages of icons and banners. But I got the 4 coupons they advertised on a single page When I returned the shop manager (Mr. Ush, I think) noticed me and started walking toward me. At the same time I had gotten out of the car and was starting to cut out the coupon for my car. I noticed the gentleman in the car next to me might qualify for one of the other coupons. So in an effort to not waste paper, I was offering him the extra coupons on the page. By this time, the manager is shouting that he won't service my car and the other gentleman can't use the coupon I brought, because he already "lined up" inside then turned away before I could negotiate or ask questions. Again respecting the shops right to manage their business as they see fit, I am bothered by the fact that: I was lied to on the phone Mislead by the website coupon policy wasted paper, time, and gas to print their coupon, to comply with their rules If the guy next to me didn't qualify for the coupon then why turn ME away for sharing coupons? The only reason I had more than 1 coupon was because they made me print it out Even if sharing the coupon invalidated it some how, why not just charge me full price then? I get the feeling the manager didn't want to accept the coupon, in which case, it is false advertising on their website. I went to smog my car they failed the smog test because of the visual decision of the mechanic, he never put a probe tester in my tail pipe. Don't wast your time using this shop there's a lot of smog test in this area. The service is worse ,owner and mechanic are rude . I didn't check first the reviews before i go there that's my mistake. It's very easy to pass this place up as there's not much to look at, in fact you might even pass it up unknowingly. I was just going in for a smog check so I didn't care! It was nice that they were open on Sunday as my schedule is usually pretty tight. They were able to get me in and out in about 10 minutes and we're very professional. The waiting area is a little janky, but again it was only 10 minutes, so there wasn't much waiting to be done. Thank you for making it convenient getting a smog check on a Sunday.
