Chris is amazing person who helped me to show my car had a bad transmission mount and engine mount are worn out. He order the part from ford company to replace my original part in my car. My car isn't ready. He offer me to ride uber to work. I said no. I had to get earlier shift then He told his co worker to rent a car for me and ride uber to the Hertz place with low price range. This place is honestly mechanic and order the parts with your original company of Ford. I recommended to fix your car at this place. Big O Tires company can't fix my car properly with broken bolts on my engines and transmission mounts. This is shop tried to work well with my car. Hopefully run smoothly. My regular car repair shop merged with Smog Shop. I went there because of my great experience with them. When my very old car needed a lot of work to get it in shape for my Dad to take over, I spent a lot of money on repairs. Just when I thought I was done, a month later, I had to get a new AC compressor. Sharon, who runs point with customers, was amazing in working with me to get the repair done price-wise, and her customer service skills are impeccable. I was later quoted a high cost to repair the actual problem, so I declined and had it correctly fixed at another shop. Beware they seem very nice (at first) but if you go in for a repair it better be something simple to fix so they can get the easy money and get you out. Otherwise they will keep your car and never do the repair. Thats the problem when they have so many customers that they can just pick and choose the easy ones. It's all about money. As a former auto mechanic myself, 20 years experience stopped in 1993 and became a electrician, I still do what I can to my 2015 Toyota Tacoma truck myself. The folks at the Smog Shop are the nicest, most trustworthy mechanics I have ever worked with. They did brake pads and rotars on my van and gave me some good tips for reducing wear and maintenance. So when I heard a strange noise I went to them for help, fearing something terrible might be wrong. Les drove it to recreate the sound and try to locate its cause. Ended up being some stripped bolts allowing a part to shake. Fixed it right then. I definitely trust them to work on my vehicle. I'll add that I saw them interacting with others in the waiting room. The entire team was incredibly supportive and helpful from day one. I had my catalytic converter stolen, and they were able to squeeze me in within three days to get a new converter installed. Just got back from my first visit with Chris and company, and have to say that this is by far the best experience I've had at an auto shop. To keep the story short, I brought our 30 year old OBDI car in today for a smog check. It failed. Chris asked if I had about 45 minutes for some diagnostics. I did, and they proceeded. Fast forward, they found the problem (a collapsed hose, which prevented the EGR from functioning properly). Car was fixed and then run again on the Dyno. This time it passed. What a relief! Chris had the opportunity to take me to the cleaners with the additional diagnostic and repair fees (on top of the smog test and re-test). He did not. He waived a significant amount, and I was out of there without a huge dent in my bank account. The shop is classy. The people are NICE. I didn't feel uncomfortable waiting for the vehicle or staying in the shop. Great waiting room with clean bathroom, large TV, and table where you can use your laptop to work. We have a fleet of four family vehicles. This is my new shop when I can't fix or figure something out. Chris and his shop has earned my respect and my business. Thank you for bailing me out today.
