They make good tasty lattes and cappuccinos. The latte's and cappuccino's foam are very good. I like that the large size has four shots of espresso, even though it doesn't seem to give me the caffeine kick that I would expect from four shots. My guess is their beans are a darker roast. It's a popular place and lots of people work or study at the tables.

    Matcha kitkat macaroon

The service was very fast. The barista brought out my macaroon so quick I was still deciding what beverage to get. The macaroon was light and delicate and a perfect little treat, especially with the kitkat stick in the middle. The iced matcha latte was was good was a subtle matcha flavour. The barista asked if I wanted liquid sugar in the drink and I said yes but I wish there was a little bit more sugar because it tasted more milky than matcha + sweetness. There were many tables and seats around filled with people, only a couple tables available. The music playing wasn't too loud, making it the perfect spot to catch up with a friend or a coffee catch.

5 piece set - blueberry cheesecake, tiramisu, matcha KitKat, early grey, and carrot cake

Cute coffee/dessert shop. Each macaron was good and had a distinct flavour (i.e. matcha KitKat actually tasted like matcha KitKat) - I liked that they held their shape. What I didn't like was that only 1 person was working the counter so there was a bit of a wait to get my order. From previous reviews, this seems to be the norm which I think they should change

    Assorted box and dacquoise

Commenting purely from an ordering perspective. Deciding to go with a box of 9 macarons with a coffee dacquoise. The coffee dacquoise held its shape and the espresso buttercream was well balanced. The assorted box of macarons I had 2x tiramisu, raspberry, earl grey, injeolmi, matcha, Oreo, strawberry, blueberry cheese cake. Ones that really stood out for me were injeolmi, strawberry and the raspberry as they were different from your standard macarons. With that being said, all the others were great. Definitely worth trying them all if possible!

I ordered a Box of 9 Macarons with the following flavours (in order within the photo): Matcha KitKat, Earl Grey, Tiramisu, Oreo, Strawberry Crunch, Blueberry Cheesecake, Injeolmi, Eggnog (December Special), Stollen (December Special) I must say I particularly enjoyed the Tiramisu, Strawberry Crunch, and Blueberry Cheesecake macarons. They were so delicious, tasted true to their descriptions, and were chewy. I highly recommend these flavours. I felt like the Matcha KitKat, Oreo, and Injeolmi had very muted flavours compared to what I was expecting. They were still tasty, but they weren't standouts. The Earl Grey was potent and noticeable, but I don't think I'm a huge fan of this flavour as it felt a little overpowering for me. Lastly, the December flavours were a huge letdown for me. I didn't enjoy the Eggnog and Stollen macarons as they were not only incredibly sweet but the flavours themselves weren't very pleasant/tasty. All in all, I feel like the flavours are quite hit or miss. The macarons themselves are all large, beautiful-looking, and have a great chewy texture.

Lovely coffee shop with freshly made Korean style macarons. The Holiday special macarons were delicious & the perfect treat. Service was amazing too, I would definitely return to study here.

The Social Blend is a corner cafe on Eglinton serving up caffeinated brews and Korean-style macarons It provides board games serving ethically sourced espresso drinks and gourmet macarons in a modern space. It's the perfect place to post up with a laptop (especially since they close at 9 p.m daily), though weekends can get busy, so don't be a table-hog. The decadent mocha won't disappoint. If you're looking for something iced, the Americano misto is a milky, visual treat. You'll come for the coffee but you might end up staying for the relaxing reprieve from busy Eglinton. A counter seat facing out the window is a pretty sweet spot for people watching, too.

    Chinese New Year edition macarons

I was not a macaron person...until I had a Social Blend macaron. I guess it's true. I really do like them thicc. It's kind of insane how next-level macarons are getting. Between these and DaanGo, the aesthetic expectations keep rising. And of course, so do the prices. But you are paying for quality here. Social Blend specializes in "Korean-style" macarons, which I assume mean thicker, creamier centres than your traditional macarons. I decided to treat myself to their $40 special edition Chinese New Year set of 9. Call me converted. I'm not sure I want another macaron unless it's like Social Blend's. While I don't find their flavours super strong, they are less sweet than the average macaron and I love that. The cream in the middle is very velvety, like a buttercream cake. The flavours in our box were Dark Chocolate Orange, Taro Milk tea, Mango, Milk Chocolate, HK Milk Tea, Strawberry Crunch, Boston Cream, White Rabbit Exclusive and Lavender London Fog. They were all pretty good but I wasn't too huge of a fan of the one with the cake in the middle. I want that cream in my mouth. Maybe because they weren't too sweet, but the macaron felt lighter and easier to eat, despite the thickness. And they're all so dang cute, it's ridiculous. The CNY edition has one that looks like a little cow, one that looks like a lucky money pouch, and a lantern. It's a shame I want to demolish them all in 5 minutes.

This time I went back for the Daquoise - The Big Macaroon. Picked the kiwi Greek yogurt one. Really good. Service is friendly and fast. It's a cute cafe located right on Construction, I mean Eglinton!

Wow, finally tried this place and I can safely say...it's become one of my top 2 places in Toronto for Korean Macarons! I tried a few of their seasonal & regular flavours: -Injeolmi (my fav, it had a nice thin chewy mochi? In the middle) -Hazelnut -Chestnut The Dacquoise was surprisingly soft (not like a hard meringue cookie texture I was expecting) and I really liked it! The seasonal cinnamon & raisin flavour packed a punch. Looking forward to trying more !!

From the first day I saw these macarons on Instagram, I knew I had to have them. The presentation was just too beautiful to pass up! I'm not really in their area, so it took me a while to actually try them. I'm so glad I finally did! They recently came out with their Local Love box, which is a really cool initiative that involves the Social Blend collaborating with other local businesses to create new flavours. I loved this idea, especially with local businesses being hit so hard by Covid, so I took advantage of their free delivery over $50 and got two boxes ($40 each). The Local Love box came with nine different macarons, which were all so unique and delicious. These were the nine flavours and the local businesses they collborated with: -Hojicha Latte (Genuine Tea) -Coffee pandan (Rustle & Still) -Everything Maple Bacon (Brodflour) -Hazelnut Brownie (Soul Chocolate) -Tokyo Fog (135 Ossington) -Piggy Bar (March flavour) -Honey Date (March flavour) -Birthday Cake (March flavour) -Coconut Latte (March flavour) My favourites were the Hojicha Latte, Coffee Pandan and Tokyo Fog. I can't wait to order more and try their signature flavours! A note about the delivery - On the day of the delivery, you don't really know what the time slot will be. Make sure to be available the whole day. They do text you when they're on their way to you, but it's not that much advance notice.

I love The Social Blend and just realized I've never left a review! Whenever I am in the area, I love to stop by and try the monthly flavors. The space has free wifi, a super chill vibe, and really nice staff. The macarons are beautifully crafted, generous with their filling, and not too sweet! If you're looking to try out a cute cafe or grab a treat to gift to someone, definitely give this spot a try.

(Late post) I've ordered their macarons during August and was happy with the flavors, and they looked so cute! They did not taste like traditional macaron cream at all but more like buttercream on cupcakes. The macaron shells were ok, the downside to my order was the fact that the KitKat went stale.

Given that I have not been to Korea in approximately a decade (excluding the airport), it may be the best bingsu I can remember ever having. We got to try the matcha affogato, persimmon bingsu, and the injeolmi bingsu. I learned what an affogato was for the first time (they pour espresso into ice cream, so this was matcha poured into matcha ice cream) and that was yum but not what I would come back for. It also becomes soup lol. The stars of the show are the bingsu. In my many years eating shaved ice in various places, I have never had a persimmon bingsu and I am so glad that I got to try it. The persimmon flavor was light but delicious. Of the three other people here, this was their favorite. I loved this one but my favorite was the injeolmi - a lot of it is more milky because the injeolmi powder is at the top but I loved that. The texture of this bingsu was excellent - we all marveled at it. The cornflakes throughout were a stroke of genius. I love this place and lol I am not kidding, this place might be the reason I plan my next trip to Toronto. I am half kidding I guess but it would very much be a factor. I requested to be lighter on the chocolate but there was still a LOT of chocolate on our waffle. The mango smoothie was refreshing and sweet. I started going to Holy Choco when they first opened and their service was really good from some of the owner. Super attentive and caring staff. Unfortunately, it's since gone downhill since they've hired new staff and we had a number of small problems when visiting this time (dirty tables, dirty cutlery, requested if our food could be put in to go containers because they didn't want to do dishes, unfriendly, etc.) I hope they improve upon these staffing issues soon. The interior is nicely decorated with a cute angel photo op in the back, and window bar seats and couches to choose from. Great spot for 2-4 people. The only criticism I could have was it took a while to get our order. So, it's not one of those places you can be dipping into expecting to be done in 20mins! We stayed for nearly 3 hours and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
