I had the basic breakfast plate and my mom a burrito. Those breakfast burritos are huge! She liked it! My plate was so good. So filling! So much eggs I couldn't finish them all. Happy hour specials aren't great... $2 off highly priced drinks and snacks. Still, the lamb sliders were out of this world. Amazing, truly. Came here after getting a bunch of recommendations from friends, and it lived up to it. The vibe is definitely more upscale and polished, but still relaxed and not stuffy. We only came for drinks and appetizers, and everything we tried was really solid. The appetizers were super flavorful and came out looking as good as they tasted. I ordered the sliders and they were honestly the star for me, juicy and well seasoned, and the bun held up instead of falling apart halfway through. I left wishing I would've just ordered a full meal because the food was that good. Service was friendly and on top of things without hovering, and the place itself felt clean and well put together. Dropped our kids for volleyball had a little left on the weekly budget and switch 20 minutes till happy our was gonna end we hurried over. Found a seat at the bar and was warmly greased by Ryan who despite handing a very busy time was extremely kind and gracious answer our questions just in time for our order to be placed before HH ended. Wife got the seasonal hummus and carrots and an espresso martini I had a west coast ipa. Only drawback was the seasonal hummus was a bit spicy which can tend to wreck my wife's stomach but this wasn't too bad so she was able to enjoy it. Came into dinner last night as we do often and it was great. We dine out a lot and one thing about the staff, Tara the manager and the food are always on point and so friendly. Nice to see a manager touching tables,running food/drinks and just being present. I asked our server how she likes it here and she enjoys it and Tara is a big reason for that. I stopped by Stetson Social for dinner on a Wednesday evening. Located in a shopping center, I was surprised at how packed the parking lot was. With that being said, I was able to find a spot in the back of the lot. I was seated at a booth in the corner of the restaurant by the kitchen. Ambiance (3/5): Pretty much your typical neighborhood restaurant. It's nice and clean, but doesn't really stand out much. There's a bar area and a dining area. They have free WiFi which is always a nice touch. Service (4/5): My waiter was friendly and checked in regularly. He gave me some good recommendations. My only complaint? He didn't mention it was Wine Down Wednesday where most bottles of wine are 50% off. It was my first time at the restaurant and the only way I found out was by overhearing a conversation a waitress was having with another table close to me. Drinks (4/5): I started off with a cocktail on the happy hour menu (specialty cocktails are $2 off during happy hour) that was mezcal-based. A solid craft cocktail. From there, I took advantage of Wine Down Wednesday and ordered a bottle of red wine. They were out of my first choice, but they didn't have my second pick. Food (3.5/5): I went with the short rib stroganoff which is one of their most popular dishes. Traditionally, this Russian classic comes with beef. Short rib is a nice upgrade. It was everything that I was hoping for. The creamy stroganoff sauce paired well with the tender meat. I tried a bite of the pasta of the day and while it was solid, the portion size was on the smaller side. The Stetson Social was a solid experience. With a longer happy hour, more generous portions, and a little more pizazz, they could easily be a four-star experience for me. I went there with my wife and 2 young daughters, 3 and 10 months, right after they opened on a Saturday. The servers and hostess were very nice. The inside was clean and well air conditioned. The location is amidst the new developments on 83rd and Happy Valley. And the patrons match the uppity nature of those who live around there. I say that because even though we've done the most to have our children exposed to public outings without the use of technology occupying their time, the amount of dirty looks we received from other patrons because we were a small family and not upper class retired caucasians ages 55-65 was a little much. The food probably would've been better under better pretenses. Probably not going back. read more

We decided to try The Stetson Social in Peoria, AZ for Sunday brunch. There's plenty of table, booth and bar seating in two large seating areas, plus a private room with a long table. There is a small patio facing the parking lot as well. Gender-neutral restrooms are available for customers. A few TVs played the Football games while we were there. Lots of good options on the menu. We ordered: - Prickly Pear Mockarita - Spiritless Jalisco 55 n/a Tequila, Prickly Pear Syrup, Lime Juice, Lemon Juice (love their mocktail section on the drink menu. Also lots of good and seasonal drinks I'd like to try. Check out the cold brew + vodka cocktails on the brunch menu!) - French Toast - Texas toast, spiced cream cheese frosting, maple syrup (I really enjoyed this French toast. The cream cheese frosting with the orange peel zest was really delightful. I am a moist cake girl and this was a moist, soft French toast. Very good. Hubs is a dry cake fan and did not like the French toast.) - Short Rib Grilled Cheese - braised short ribs - tillamook cheddar - gruyere - horseradish sauce - caramelized onions - texas toast (tasty with buttery toast and touch of horseradish flavor with tender short rib and cheese that reminds me of French onion soup. This was good, but for $19 I feel there should have been at least double the meat or enough to fill the sandwich) with side of Tomato Cucumber Salad - Fish & Chips - beer battered alaskan cod - cole slaw - shoestring fries - tartar sauce (The minute they set this down in front of Hubs, I was disappointed. We really enjoy fish & chips, and this did not look very good. The batter was burnt and rubbery to the touch or bite. The fish was chewy and dark. The waiter assured us beforehand that the fish here was extremely fresh, so we were shocked when we saw the meal. Hubs said oil tasted burnt as well. He ate a few bites but couldn't handle anymore. He strangely suffered heartburn afterwards despite only eating a few bites from the meal. Hubs also found it hard to eat the fries. They were extremely over-seasoned. There was so much salt it covered his hands. He ended up alerting the staff to what they had served him, and they ultimately decided that it shouldn't have been served and they took it off of our bill. In summary, it seemed like the seasoning on the food was either way too salty or completely bland. Service was a bit odd here. There were only a few customers in the restaurant and a lot of wait staff, but it seemed like it took a while for the server to return to our table. read more

We came here for an 80th bday celebration. The ENTIRE experience waa memorable. We arrived early and were able to decorate the room. Jackie was awesome. She provided water, her help to decorate etc. she was on top of things the entire visit. She put the football game on in the room so we can stay on top at the same time celebrate. The staff was also so friendly and service was top notch. The food was equally delicious. I had their arugula salad that was fresh. Stetson is a chill place to hang out with a decent vibe and GREAT selection of local craft beers - the best selection in the area! Wine menu is decent too, though not grouped in any sort of order lol. Menu items change every so often and the owners really do consider feedback from patrons. Food is consistent, though some specials like tortellini are not handmade (swear it was Buitoni). Would love to see heaters/misters added to the patio so we can enjoy it more of the year. It was a nice restaurant but too cold to sit inside. We sat on the patio but it was very stark and barren of life and atmosphere. The bar closed the garage window within a minute of us sitting down so we were really alone! We'll try again left to find another place that was more welcoming. This isn't the place if you're looking for a deep discount. The food was great. The cheese boards were interesting with unknown cheeses. We were surprised that the server didn't tell us what was on the boards. The crispy cauliflower wings was choice. If it was breaded, it was very light. Came with a buffalo sauce and dill-type ranch that was delicious. The fall old fashioned was good though just a bit on the sweeter side than I prefer. Service was ok. They filled glasses well-enough but were forgetful and seemed a little irritated at us for asking to put in sandwich order right away for an elderly person at our table that wasn't feeling well. Met a friend for lunch and we both enjoyed salads, I the Bistro Filet Salad and she the Chicken Chopped Salad. I found the filet on my salad to be perfectly cooked and very tender. The "roasted mushrooms" tasted more like marinated mushrooms, which wasn't a problem but I felt it was misrepresented. However, they added a nice bite from a textural standpoint and the hit of acid that came with them. I would order the salad again. The Chicken Chopped was a large salad and I heard no issues regarding the flavor. Our server was attentive and kept drinks refilled. Why a four, not a five? Third time here and second time in one week... enjoyed this time even more than lunch with my girlfriends. Hubby and I had a bruschetta board on the happy hour price (less $2) and with PJ's advice had the first and last bruschettas and added the hummus and tapenade. (First)Piquillo pepper and goat cheese, (last) Brie, apple, balsamic and personal choice of Roasted garlic hummus, olive tapenade and feta. Favorite was the Piquillo peppers. Then we moved on to the winter salad that I had with my friends for lunch. Chicken was much more moist then the luncheon and both times I enjoyed the charred flavor combined with the salad's fresh arugula and wonderful dried cherries and candied nuts. Moving on we shared the pork chop with pureed sweet potatoes and charred brocollini. Excellent! Pork chop was so moist and whatever they put on as a rub... I wanna know! And last but not least m... really amazing churros!!! They have changed their menu up from their first opening and I think there is something for everyone. I am always down to eat. Was excited this spot opened in Peoria when I was visiting Arizona in August. Decided I would make a return visit to see how they thrived after their opening. This up and coming area is definitely in need of more eateries. I am usually here for happy hour and on the weekends but it is never crowded. It is nice and inviting with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Service was quick and food came out rather quickly. There is supposedly happy hour now on the schedule, but when I came in August there was no offering of such. My most recent visits we came for happy hour and yet no specials were offered to us on a Friday at 3pm. Perhaps it is why it doesn't draw a bigger crowd. The items are shareable unless you have a crazy appetite like me. We tend to nosh on the burrata (think caprese), gambas al ajillo (spicy shrimp), albondigas, and the charcuterie board. Lamb sliders are good albeit the feta for me. The food is a hit and miss. Sometimes it can be bland or overly spiced. I think working on consistency will definitely improve the quality and review comments. Drinks are awesome with great choices of local beers and their whiskey/bourbon selection offers such a nice variety. I think I am fluent in bourbon. I often wonder if there's an old fashion out there thinking about me. Hopefully they can sustain the interest of the neighborhood crowd and continue improving. Went there for brunch. Be sure to view the brunch menu AND their main menu. I was about to be disappointed when I thought all they offered was on their brunch menu. It only had things like biscuit sandwiches, burritos and eggs Benedict. Fine if that's all you want. My friend had the only main menu so I had missed it. Once I saw it though, I got excited then had a hard time deciding, of course! My friend got the Salmon Salad and I got the salmon bowl (rice base, no lettuce). It got a little confusing but we got it all figured out. We both loved our dishes and plan to come back again. Warning ‼ though! The lemonade was absolutely awful. I had my friend try it. She agreed. They offered my a $9 spritzer of some sort but decided on the water with lemon. Glad I did because they had still charged me for that awful lemonade. I love this local place and hope my last visit was a one off! But the food last night was horrible. Starting with the bruschetta, the bread was so hard inedible and the waitress did nothing to make it right. The steak sandwich was all gristle and not sure why? The menu described it as filet! Fries so salty again inedible. My friend had the stroganoff which was wonderful. Of course will be back, there's not a lot of choices in this area.
