I don't know if this market is new, but it is new to me! Tucked in the little shopping center where Clementine's is located. I came in for Rose Water and was pleased to discover they also carry a wide variety of spices. I picked up Barberries and Sumac too. Most of all the service was friendly and welcoming. The gentleman behind the counter was accommodating and showed me where to locate different products. I'll definitely return.. Today I was shopping in this store and came back home to find an item I bought expired 1 year ago. I recommend everyone to check the shelf life expiry date for every item you purchase. This happened to us 3 times already. Otherwise good selection of items and a clean store. read more

There was a long line of people at the butcher's counter which me hesitate whether to wait or leave. But I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and speed of service. And the quality of beef shank meat and boneless thighs turned out to be excellent. I was also happy to find many Pakistani products including Remat-e-shereen sweeets, salty snacks and Pakola soft drink that I purchased. I highly recommend it. read more

Had driven from Hayward to San Ramon to pick up a special RX for my cat, from Custom Care Compounding, which is a compound pharmacy. On the way back I figured I better use a restroom before making the long drive home in high traffic. I pulled into a gas station but then saw this place next door so decided to walk into it. First thing I noticed was how clean this place was. Walked to the back and saw a man in the meat department (which was again super clean looking) and he pointed to the restroom. After I had conducted my business in the rest room I decided to look around and see if I could buy something small, so that I wouldn't feel bad about just using their restroom. I bought tea bags ( Ahmed Tea London, Cardomom) and a box of Indian cookies, Nan Khatai. On the drive back I wondered how it would be to buy fresh chicken and goat from that extra clean looking meat department! Came home and made myself a cup of that tea(absolutely delightful) and had one of those cookies. (Check video). I feel San Ramon is lucky to have a nice little market like this one. Excellent clean market with fresh meat cut to specification. I can always find frozen turkey bacon, salamis, and spices. Has some produce like tomatoes, ginger, and cilantro. Also a good place to get bread. The man at the front counter is very friendly and always gives my son a lollypop. I love that it's so close and convenient! read more

We've visited this market a few times - specifically for goat meat. Their goat meat is fresh and you can absolutely tell once you cook it. BUT they are a bit frustrating with their "you need to buy a certain amount of pounds for leg meat." Like if customer is coming in there weekly and just needs 3 pounds of goat meat - give it to them! When a butcher shop starts mandating you to buy certain amount of pounds, they loose business..! read more

Market is small yet the shelves aren't completely filled. not completely surprised as they don't sell fresh "bread", produce nor ready to eat foods either. referigerated good, fresh halal meats, yes. was interested in some "ready to use" mix. passed when ingredients needed numbered close to 10. really a stretch to imply ready to use. buys: original lemon sandwich (1.69) -cookies -pakistani cookies made with palm oil, sugar, additives and food dyes. -many snacks have "high" amounts of sugar, fat. -mildly addictive.. crumbs: -uber friendly service. 3.5 stars 3 stars reflects my inability to find anything i could utilize, not store's failure in any part. -adequate parking in lot. read more

It's a good store closer where I live other than going to Dublin and dealing with bad service at Rahma. Only thing is please make sure you look at your meat order carefully, I have been over charged a few times. Also sometimes the butcher will add random cuts of meat to add weight to your order. I think the butcher makes these convenient mistakes . read more

I had stopped by to get some goat meat and was pleasantly surprised. Very clean and brightly lit. Amazing selection of spices, olives and coffee. And butcher helped with the right meat for the Indian goat curry. Definitely a great find. Went again recently and got marinated chicken breast. I am so happy to find this market! They have the best of the best products for Mediterranean cooking. I highly recommend their meat department too. They have some pre-mixed meat (for kefta) and other things like chicken thighs etc. There is a small selection of vegetables, herbs and spices, rice and other staples, olive oils (really you have to try these olive oils they are amazing) and of course a selection of sweets. I ordered 3 lbs of goat shoulder and the shoulder is around 5 lbs, he don't want to make it half so insisted me to take stew meat and I denied since the stew meat might contain other meat portions. He took the shoulder near the meat cutting machine and he gave me stew meat. I knew the difference between both. I strongly suggest not to visit this place. read more

Located at San Ramon it is a must go place for any meat lover with a great customer service. I have tried the steaks, hamburger, lamb chops and chicken; the pure flavor of the meats once cooked are so natural and fresh. I make bone chicken soup with the chicken couple of times a month and my husband can't get over the taste of the soup bone compared to the years I have made it with any other chicken. I have learned to make Indian food with the help from the owners, workers, and of course, the ingredients from this market; at a fraction of the cost from going to the restaurants.
