Avoid: Lack of hygiene, poor service, under construction ---- Many of the reviews here speak to the quality of spa services rather than the hotel. The hotel is in picturesque surroundings but regrettably has abysmal and substandard service for the truly exorbitant price. Problems we encountered include: - the property is under significant and pervasive construction, with related noise starting early in the morning. Paths are muddy and upended, and it's unnavigable at night. - rooms are made up in a perfunctory manner. We had to call twice for various items including towels (none were provided), fire logs for the fireplace (for which we paid extra) and replenishment of the snacks/minibar. Towels eventually arrived in a garbage bag (see photo). Twice in the morning, house staff entered the room without knocking! - the desk workers seem to have a "I only work here attitude." Though the hotel advertises 24/7 room service, there is actually no room service at all. When we asked the front desk worker to at least bring us snacks that should have been provided in the minibar, he suggested that we go to food trucks which are about 2 miles away. He claimed that he doesn't have access to these service items after hours. - woke up in the morning to find that the room staff had replaced the bedding with a blood-stained comforter and bed sheet (see photo) I strongly recommend that you avoid this place. The level of service is far below what is acceptable at this price point, even for Sonoma.

Booked two of the 50min aromatherapy messages, and it was amazing. I treated my sister to a spa day for her birthday and we both enjoyed our day. Staff was very friendly and brought complimentary champagne out to us at the pool. Very clean and the locker room was stocked with hygiene items and towels. I look forward to returning.

The Spa at MacArthur Place is heavenly. My mom, sister and I all went up for a much needed spa day and this did not disappoint. We got the 'Spoil Yourself' package which included a 50 minute massage, a 50 minute facial, a spa gift and lunch for $250. Honestly, I think this was a stellar price for the treatments alone. Jill did my facial and she was absolutely wonderful, she did a fantastic job on my face and was very informative! My face felt and looked amazing after, I will definitely be making an appointment with her again. Tracy was my masseuse and she was wonderful as well. I told her my problem areas were my back and shoulders (yay for sitting at a desk all day) and she focused in on that and made me feel so much better. She also was very respectful of me not wanting to chat much, sometimes I feel like masseuses want to talk then whole time when really I just want to zone out and relax. Tracy did a phenomenal job. After we had our treatments we hung out by the pool which was really nice. We were able to order our lunch from the servers walking around and never had to leave our lounge chairs. Food and wine were served right there which was really great! It's a smaller pool but it's also private which is perfect as it's quite and very relaxing. Overall it was an A+ experience and I cannot wait to go back!

This massage was amazing. Champagne after was just the icing. Thank you Christy for making my visit and my day so enjoyable.

Massage was great - I would go back just for that. The pool was tiny and the facilities could use a little updating.

We had the soaking tubs, sauna and pools pretty much to ourselves and the food and bubbly were exactly what we needed. The only negative was as that one Caesar salad, two glasses of bubbly and one shrimp quesadilla was somehow like 220.00??? That seemed excessive and exorbitant. We had vouchers from TravelZoo which gave a pretty decent discount but then the total bill ended up being like $550.00 with the food and drink... the math wasn't mathing so I think they need to work on that. But everything else was exceptional.

There's a small lobby and gift shop. The changing rooms are downstairs and there's a waiting room upstairs where the treatment rooms are. The lockers might be slightly confusing - press clear before setting your code. Lou and Julia were our excellent female practitioners. Five stars for them. The massage comes with use of the spa amenities. I was surprised there was a small coed sauna outside by the pool. There's no steam room but there a couple of plunge pools, including one with heated jets. I'll use the spa again the next time I stay at the Lodge.

It's hard to pick a favorite part of the day but breath work and meditation with Ben in the sound healing room was so centering and a perfect way to start a lovely sequence of restorative treatments. All treatments were next level and the environment very intentionally curated and sacred. Blush's practitioners all went beyond to support the refreshing day I needed for so so long. Plus the official snack break was elevated-- a generous multi cheese platter with fresh veggies, hummus, nuts, fruit. Just refreshing and absolutely lovely. Dolores is also a very talented intuitive. She introduced me to cacao ceremony as a method of manifestation and guided me through an extensive oracle reading. I can't wait to visit her and Blush again for another reset & restore. I truly love the concept, even though for me the experience felt a bit overstimulating and physically stretching at times. Where I found myself disappointed was more with the level of customer care than the service itself, especially knowing this was my first visit. After my float, I enjoyed the oxygen bar and mentioned interest in learning more about another service option. During my oxygen session, the receptionist kindly offered to bring me tea, but it never arrived. By the end of the session, I noticed staff members chatting at the front while I was left feeling a little unsure about next steps. The staff were not rude at all, they were polite, but I did leave feeling like a bit more attentiveness and, guidance could have made a meaningful difference, especially for a first-time guest. The facilities themselves were generally clean and the overall concept has a lot of potential. With a little more intentional customer care and follow-through, I think this could become a much stronger experience.

You swap your shoes for fresh sandals and at the first appointment you come about 30 min early to watch a video on the tips that help you properly prep in the shower, coat a little petroleum jelly to protect dry skin or scratches from the salt in the float tub, and how to use the ear plugs. I've been to another float center in Redwood with a friend, so it was nice to find one close to home. I put a cloth in the lid to keep it open a crack and to help mark my orientation if I get up and want to readjust. I find that I prefer wave sounds and my husband likes music. I like to start with lights, then lights off for a minute, then I eventually mentally "drop down" into peace and darkness for like a half hour or so. Sometimes faster or slower. Really it's great for any body soreness and mental fatigue. I usually notice a 2-for-1 special and buy that and do a float "date" with my husband. So we usually get a sitter, catch a bite, connect and float. My hubby found out he had a lot of scratches on the last one... so they told him to reschedule no cost when he felt better. How considerate! I have been here 4 times now, but that felt so considerate that I trust them and really look forward to going back. I really like how close they are to a few spots I need things from as well. Since I'm out of town, we stop by the stores or eateries and cafes nearby to make it a treat.
