Experienced a couples massage today with Charles and Tami! Tami gave me a very relaxing soothing Swedish massage. Charles gave my husband a deep tissue massage which he was thrilled with since there are a very few places that really know and deliver a great deep tissue massage. 4 stars because I would have liked to have been prepared before massage with a soft robe and warm tea. Upon my visit the 'The Spa of the Central Coast' I felt my energy shift into calm. The team was professional and courteous. They allowed me time to slow down and catch my breathe as I was guided to a deeper level of relaxation with meditative music and the sweet sound of water. What an awesome afternoon this was. From the moment we walked in until the minute we left. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is quaint. It's decorated beautifully. One hour deep tissue made me feel amazing. I tried the infared (spelling) for the first time. It was toasty hot. But there they were bringing me wet towels and water. I highly recommended if you're in the Paso area you stop by this lovely establishment for a good hour or two. You will not be disappointed. You will feel like a million bucks!! I was horribly disappointed today when myself and three other girlfriends showed up to our appointment and the doors to the spa were locked. We had made reservations over two weeks earlier and talked to them twice in the past week. We arrived 20 min early like they asked, and waited outside for a total of 45 minutes before someone came to the door. We tried to call multiple times and tried to even message them on facebook. The lady that finally came to the door seemed to have no idea that we had appointments, and seemed more concerned that she forgot to brush her own hair then helping us. We were all incredibly disappointed and wont be back. They lost out on an $800 day plus tip and possible regular customers. Take your business elsewhere! Your money is better spent on people that have respect for the clients. read more

I never write reviews, however my experience last weekend was so egregious I had to sign up just to write this. I had previous massages here that were very good, however when I booked a couples massage for my girlfriend and I the whole experience changed. To be fair, my pervious massages and my girlfriends massage where what we wanted and ordered: a deep tissue where they took their time and worked out knots and tightness in our backs. And I have quite a bit of tightness in my back. So when I went in there this weekend the lady who did my massage started by putting a lot of oil on me and rubbing my skin. I figured this would pass and she would actually start massaging me, however it only got worse. Imagine someone rubbing the same spot for 10 minutes straight, just rubbing back and forth on the skin. It was very irritating. She worked her way around then, probably because we booked a 90 minute massage, she repeated rubbing the same spots that were already rubbed pretty raw by this point. I really wanted to stop the massage but my girlfriend was enjoying hers so I didn't want to ruin that. When it was finally over we waited around in the lobby for about 10 minutes but nobody came to help us. I called later and explained the situation but was met with indifference, they didn't care... But I bet if it was $300+ of their money they'd care a bit more. Needless to say, I'd recommend anybody but them for quality of massage and customer service. read more

Great spa in a great town. Whether there for a "girls weekend" or a resident of Paso Robles, this spa is a must. The setting is a rustic environment in the heart of Paso. I am a part-time resident of Paso and until I got back to Iowa, I didn't realize what a true treat to myself this was. I received a gift certificate for my birthday so was able to choose various services. All I have to say is the seaweed wrap and the seaweed-to-go powder I miss dearly. What an amazing treat. The facial and foot massage were great as well The oils and products they use are for sale in the lobby. I chose an amazing bath oil and more seaweed powder for the bath. I spoke with a very educated/well informed yogi at the reception desk. She informed me of yoga in paso and the benefits of the practice. Just another reason why I continue to come back. Now if I could just get some seaweed:). I was only rude to your receptionist girl when she called back and told me I couldn't use the service. The receptionist looked up my friends account (who visits often)and saw the gift certificate was purchased in December and it had my name on it! In fact she even called my friend who purchased the gift card ( they had her phone number) to confirm that she purchased the gift certificate. I was justified being upset! I recommend your spa to lots of people and to be treated like dirt BY the owner is just wrong! I don't know you personally Kitty, but I have been to your spa several times and have spent 100s of dollars in services to be treated like this! I apologize if I was yelling at your receptionist, I told her when she called me back that I was in a car wash and I wasn't yelling I was speeking loud. Found this place quite by accident. We were staying at an "all inclusive hotel" but the spa offerings just weren't what we were looking for. After a slight mix up in our reservations, we were seated in the meditation lounge, and treated to a foot soak. The staff were very accommodating and extremely friendly. Our questions were answered without hesitation. I choose an integrated massage (part Swedish, part deep tissue). My companion choose an hour long facial, with a micro dermabrasion add on. I have never felt so relaxed. The massage found tension where I had not realized any existed. My friend, well, she said it best-her face felt as soft as a baby's butt. She was glowing, literally and figuratively. I live 3 hours away, but I will make time for another trip to come here. It was a lovely experience. read more

I was given a certificate to The Spa Central Coast as a graduation gift. I wanted to receive a few different services so I called in to speak to the receptionist. After discussing in detail what I wanted, that I was coming in with a certificate, and how much my visit would cost (please note I wanted to clarify that I could receive discounted price on the infrared sauna as I was recieiving another treatment knowing the website states certificates could not be used on packaged deals-the only page that mentioned this) I was set for an appointment. Before I arrived I was contacted by the front desk to ask what I was getting done today, which made it clear to me they did not know what I was scheduled to come in for. At this point I was not worried. Then when I checked in and was led to the infrared sauna, the woman tried to set me up for a longer (more expensive) treatment. I explained to her that I had a gift certificate and wanted to get a certain time at a certain price so I did not go over my amount. She said she understood and then sent me on my way. Next I received a massage from a sweet and lovely lady. My only problem was that I had asked for two treatments listed on the website that the masseuse told me they didn't really do (60min massages + 60 min hand and foot treatment) so she was going to instead perform 90min massage + 30 hand and foot treatment to which I agreed. The woman was very interested in how I was feeling and made me feel quite relaxed by the end. Until I came out to pay and interact with kitty, the owner. First she tried to charge me more for my services being altered which I had no control over and then would not give me the discounted price I had asked THREE times about and was clearly told by each woman I spoke to that I would. Even though I spent over $300 there I was still asked to pay the difference. The situation was handled in the rudest possible way with no class or professionalism. I will personally never return or suggest anyone I care for to waste money here (certificate or not). I felt wonderful for one short minute after the massage before being completely disgusted with the customer service, and from the owner herself. I would have rated zero stars if possible. read more

I've passed by this business numerous times, having no idea, what a gem we had in Paso. I scheduled a facial and microdermabrasion with Kitty, the owner, as I wanted to be in the best hands for this new adventure. Kitty is an amazing person. I felt I had come to the right place as soon as I stepped into this spa. Warm and inviting. I left feeling peaceful and with glowing skin.
