This is a cute little spa in downtown Paso Robles and if you are wanting something relaxing, this place is prob. a good place for that. If you are wanting real work done like deep tissue, I would recommend go elsewhere. Came here for a really last minute massage and maybe that was the issue. My masseuse was really nice and in the beginning she asked if the pressure was good. I think that's important especially if this is someone's first time with a masseuse. But then it was kind of a letdown after that. I mentioned to her ahead of time that I wanted my glutes and hamstrings worked on. She spent the majority of the massage on my back and maybe five minutes on my glutes and hamstrings. When we got to the glutes and hamstrings I told her to up the pressure.. She said ok; she said she felt bad cuz I was a small little girl and i said please please go to town on my hamstrings; they need it. I asked her yet again, please up the pressure and her response was that she couldn't go any deeper. She then seemed to skip over the glutes. Basically the massage seemed more like a swedish massage vs. deep tissue. If you are needing a deep tissue like I was and get something like a swedish, it really makes your body feel so disappointed and crestfallen. For those of you that love deep tissue, you'll know what I mean. Made a group (4 people) reservation about 2 weeks ago on the phone. Gave our names and credit cards and we were set to go this morning at 11am just as we had arranged. We arrived 20 minutes early just as their website asks. Got there and... Doors were locked up tight. Okay... We waited outside and called... No answer. Waited some more... Nope still nothing. Called again and could see that it was ringing in the spa... Still nothing! We waited an additional 20 minutes and FINALLY an employee comes to the door. She looks completely bewildered. We tell her we have been waiting for over 30 minutes. Still looking confused, she tells us that we don't have appointments. She tells us it's been a rough morning and she try's to call the owner. Nothing!!!! Of course there is no way that she can take all 4 of us and doesn't even try to accommodate us. Extremely disappointed. Take your business elsewhere. They lost out in about $800 in services today. Won't recommend them or be back. Sorry... My hard earned money will go somewhere else. read more

Last weekend, January 25, 2020 I had an incredible facial by Barbra Loza. Ten years ago a dermatologist told me the bump on my face was a growth. Wrong!! It was a milia which Barbra with extreme patience and care was able to extract. I felt so much better after leaving. Barbra is exact, gentle and very knowledgeable in facial care. I'm in my late 60's and was told that I looked like I was in my mid 40's :) Thank you Barbra!! I was so impressed with my facial that I immediately booked a massage with Delfina. Located on 12th street, across from the Pioneer gas station. There is parking either on the street or in the parking lot which extends from the side to the back. This spa is quiet and inviting. The meditation room is a bit on the small side and comfortably seats 3-4 people. You will be offered infused water, of course. On Valentine's Day, they had chocolate covered strawberries along with some bubbly. If you come early enough to your service, you can even get a nice hot stone foot soak! My massage therapist was great. Not too much conversation which is just how I like it. He was able to the appropriate amount of deep tissue and did not neglect my glutes... Both therapists asked if we were okay with being touched there, which I appreciated. If you are newer to massage, it helps to ease into things. Once you get over the fact that someone is touching your butt, a nice glute massage is pretty heavenly. Try it before you knock it! read more

The best massage of my life was here, plus I've enjoyed the signature facial by Kitty and love using the infrared treatment. I've also done microdermabrasion here and had great results. This is only regarding the booking and reservation system and not for any of the therapist, who I'm sure are amazing. Who sadly, we were not able to experience. My wife and I decide to spend a few days Pismo for my 55th B-day. Once I booked the hotel she decided to see if she could find a place close we could get a massage since every place in LA is basically closed. To her surprise she found and booked a couples massage for a Tuesday at 5pm. The day prior she received a confirmation text. We drove the 45 minutes into Paso and when we walked in were told they had no record of our reservation. I just stood back while my wife, an attorney, began to process what was happening. A young lady, somewhat confused and bewildered, tried to find our reservation without success. She tried calling the owner who was also a bit confused about the situation. Our problem was that my wife couldn't find the confirmation text and when she made the initial reservation they didn't send an email. Our recommendation is that if you want to come here and aren't a local or regular customer you'd better ask for confirmation number, the name of the person you spoke to, note the day and time. Call the day before and the day of to confirm because their system does not work. Nor do they have a clue of resolving this type of issue. To their credit, we may be used to a different level of service when we pay the premium prices they were charging. Regardless, we will not be back and now they have gotten our review. The Kitty Facial is a treat like none other. Kitty Arosteguy has incorporated just exactly the right amount of nurturing and excellent products to make this facial a part of my "must have" monthly routine. You definitely will feel the love! My 2nd time here. Even better than the 1st time despite all the COVID-19 restrictions! There's still the delightful foot soak that precedes the massage (ahhh). The atmosphere is very tranquil, done in what can only be described as rustic Asian (or would it be Asian Rustic?). Whatever it's called, it's beautiful. The staff is very warm and welcoming. My sister and I both got the 1 hour integrated massage and somehow they matched us up with best masseuse for our individual needs. Sis had Katie and she couldn't say enough about her which means a lot as Sis is a nail tech at a high end spa in Hawaii. My masseuse, Johnny, was strong, and gentle. He addressed all of my concerns regarding my range of motion limitations and delivered a most awesome massage. This will NOT be my last visit!!! read more

We drove up to Paso Robles this afternoon from Temecula (So. Cal) for a Valentines weekend getaway. Last minute, day before we were headed up I thought it would be nice to get a couples massage for my husband and I when we arrived into town to start the weekend. I searched online and found The Spa Central Coast had a Valentines Couple Massage Special. I called and they booked us for the massage the following day. We arrived and were greeted by Noelle and taken to the meditation room and given very nice hot salt/rose/shell foot soaks. As we were relaxing, the manager came in and introduced herself (I'm so relaxed after my massage I can't remember her name sorry) but she was so sweet! She had us pick a mood card and read to us. Both of our cards were spot on. Approx 15 minutes later we were greeted by our massage therapists and taken to the couples room. The 60 minute massage was amazing! The aromatherapy, the heated tables, the fountains/music and of course are therapists customized the pressure to our likings! I had Ashley and she was awesome! After the massage was finished we were checked out again by the sweet manager who gave us yummy chocolate covered strawberries and a soothing scented candle to take home as part of our package! I honestly can not say enough good things about Spa Central Coast. The management and staff here were so amazing. I was visiting Paso Robles from Los Angeles for my best friend's wedding and had scheduled 5 massages (for the bride and the bridesmaids) the day before the wedding. Unfortunately, one of the therapists had called out sick, but the management worked it all out, called in the owner to accommodate us and everyone was absolutely delightful! Had the pleasure of trying out this spa. I went with my friend for a little "get away from it all" weekend trip. From the moment I walked through the doors, I instantly relaxed. Emily, the spa manager, placed us into the Meditation Room where we soaked our feet and started decompressing. From there, my friend and I were taken to the first of 2 treatments we had scheduled...the couples massage and the infrared sauna. The couples massage was outstanding. Both massage therapists asked us in-depth questions to ensure that our massage was going to be just right for each of us. Afterward we headed to the infrared sauna and what an experience that was! Kitty, the owner, set us up and ensured that we had cold water and were situated comfortably. Right when I was getting a little hot, Emily came in and put cold towels on our faces. This place is awesome. I came here for the "take my stress away" package when I was at the end of planning my wedding. Only thing I regret is not finding this spot sooner. I called on a Saturday morning and they were able to get me in that afternoon. The relaxation room was awesome and so comfy. The provided a robe and slippers to change in to and then started the foot soak. From there I did the infrared sauna and loved it. The girl that assisted with that was so friendly and helpful. After that, took a great shower and then headed in for my massage. I wish I could remember her name as she did a great job and provided such a relaxing and peaceful time. Because the esthetician wasn't available that day (I was informed before scheduling my appointment) I came back another day to finish the package up with a facial. The facial was really short but enjoyable. The business has lots of items for purchase and no pressure at all to purchase them. The atmosphere was calm and soothing as a spa should be and decorated to help you relax. I loved the dark walls in the treatment rooms and the decor throughout. The meditation room is lovely, and doing a foot soak and steam bath prior to our massages was perfect. The massages were truly the best!! Treat yourself! This is a lovely spa in Paso Robles. Service is always genuinely friendly and the space and ambiance is completely comfortable and relaxing. I have received several massages here and I frequent the infrared sauna.. this is a type of sauna that creates a deep detox / and lots of sweat. as far as I know, this is the only place on the central coast that offers a shower after an infrared sauna. read more

Kitty was the best! Loved everything about it. I was a little early to the appointment, earlier then asked, and was accommodated by the staff. Kitty was print even though the online scheduling system doesn't account for cleaning up between clients and she was very accomplished. I got to pick my own aromatherapy and that was awesome. I also got to pick an angel tarot card, that was nice, added to the experience. The message was comfortable, and had just the right amount of pressure. This is the second or third time I have been to this business, but my first in the Paso location. The price is very reasonable for the service given. When I have the money, I would love to come again. And I totally recommend this spa to anyone visiting or local who is looking for a special day. read more

So happy I discovered The Spa Central Coast (thanks to user reviews on Google). It is a very special place. It's not just your typical salon where you get a facial or a massage. It's like you enter another realm - a calm, happy, beautiful place, where you leave your worries at the door. I booked a Signature Facial (which is a bit of a misnomer because it's technically a full body massage as well as a facial) with Kitty, the lovely owner. My husband had a full body massage/sea salt scrub combo in another room. We were offered a 15 min complimentary foot soak in the meditation room prior to our treatments, and of course we said yes! Sitting there in our comfy bathrobes was so relaxing. My husband and I both loved the whole experience - it was as much physically as it was spiritually rejuvenating. Also, every person working here is super nice. We came back 2 weeks later for an infrared treatment (I had never even heard about such procedure prior to coming here) and it was really nice. This is a place where people truly care, you feel it in every detail (like the hand-picked (by owner) pebbles in the foot soak bowl). First time here for a couples massage. Loved the relaxing and calm feeling in the place as a whole. When we went into the couples room, I could tell my therapist (Lacey I think her name was) seemed a little off like if she didn't know what to do next and I noticed she kept looking at Suzie (my husbands) to follow her lead. Started like any other massage, I tried to enjoy it but just couldn't. It seemed like a lot of rubbing with forearm and whole hand. Not much pressure either, which is what I really wanted and needed. And I noticed a lot of rubbing on boney parts not in the nice sore muscley areas where I would think a massage therapist would seem to know to get in with a deep tissue. Maybe it was my fault for not having said anything but I really didn't want to ruin my husbands massage which I know he was truly enjoying with Suzie ( I could tell by his heavy breathing he was sleeping at some points)( and that's how we know it's a great massage, is if it puts us to sleep) Not giving it any less than 3 stars just for SUZIE. My husband and I just tried the infrared sauna here for the first time. Wow! I think we're hooked! We both noticed a huge improvement and relief from some joint pain that we were having - his elbows and my sacroiliac - for quite a while after the session, and we felt SO relaxed. Over the course of the past 10 years this had always been a good establishment. Unfortunately, when I booked this for my wife this year the booking and reservation system never sent the confirmation text or email. Not knowing if the reservation was confirmed I attempted to contact the Spa, with no success. I re contacted them after the session had come and gone and learned they would not honor my request to reschedule. I will certainly need to find a new place after all these years. I came in for a 75minute facial. I wish that my esthetician had asked me about my skin so I felt that it was really tailored to my needs. I also felt very uncomfortable during the session because she continuously rolled her chair into things making loud noises and opening and closing the door. Yesterday I had the pleasure of experiencing my first microdermabrasion facial. AND I LOVED EVERY SECOND. I booked my appointment with a sweet girl Rebecca who was very thorough and made the process easy. She got me in the same week which was surprising to me especially on a holiday week. When I got there the owner, Kitty, was in the front along with 2 other employees. They asked for my name and took me right back for the foot soak. The place is a lot bigger then I expected. We went into the back room and it was peaceful and relaxing. Tracy came and got me right on time for my appointment. She took me into the room and started the long but relaxing process. It was 60 mins of pure enjoyment. She was very knowledgeable about skin and what I am lacking. Overall I can't wait to go back. Hopefully next month! read more
