Wonderful treatment. Simple process and far less expensive than private Vet. Dog neutered with no complications.

Earlier this year we adopted three kittens and decided to try 4 Legs since they are local to Davidsonville. So many amazing things to say. 1 it's a small practice with a family atmosphere. From the front desk staff to the technicians to Dr Kiely. They all care and provide great customer service. 2. It's really easy to get an appointment. No waiting for weeks to be seen - this team makes room for you. 3. They don't push you into services you don't need. I never felt pressured to do lab work or unnecessary services. 4. Their prices were way more competitive than our last vet - they even accepted a new client discount coupon we received in the mail! 5. They have sent me electronic reminders to set up my cats follow on appointments. Overall I'm thrilled that we found them and that we are able to support a local small owned business near our home! Check them out you won't be disappointed!

I was taken aback to see how filthy the outside had become... broken plastic chain link bits on the ground, signs down or hanging by a thread ,,, and this was unchanged despite multiple visits.... Despite meds and two exams my dogs problem was in resolved and the 500.00 plus bill. I am taking my three dogs to another practice, friends have also left this practice !!! Interesting that this place never bothered to call to ask why.

Receptionist asks you questions. The techs/ technicians / assistants pick up your pet in the parking lot. They call you back for check out and payment. Please understand the difference between a vet visit and a tech visit. If your pet has a check up with the veterinarian he/she will call you to discuss your pet. Remain in the parking lot. If your pet is there for a tech visit (e.g. for a follow up shot, vaccine, etc.), no one will discuss your pet with you. Tech visits are much quicker. Also. Don't be afraid to ask how much you are going to pay for that vaccine or whatever. Also. Nails trimming is $20 for a tech visit. If it comes with the vet check up, it will be $14. Pricing varies by pet weight.

Bel Air Animal Hospital likely killed my dog…read more Owen was brought in because he was coughing, struggling to breathe, vomiting, lethargic, and rapidly deteriorating from an apparent allergic reaction to meds given by this vet. Per their notes, they administered something for nausea, then sent him home. Six hours later, the emergency hospital ;(a different facility) diagnosed him with pneumonia. Less than 24 hours after leaving Bel Air Animal Hospital, he was dead. I can't help but question how such a serious condition was missed. Owen's care fell far below the standard I expected, and I will always wonder whether recognizing his pneumonia sooner could have saved his life. If your pet is clearly getting worse and your instincts tell you something is wrong, don't hesitate to get a second opinion. I only wish we had. I love you Owen, rest easy my boy.

When she was done her coworker informed her she had another tour. She pouted because she said she had a sore throat. They paged a male employee. Are several minutes he came in from out front. They told him they needed him to do a tour. He made an exasperated noise and said he didn't want to. I stepped up and said since our business wasn't a priority, we would take it elsewhere. If they couldn't be bothered to give us a tour that they invited us to take, how would they treat our dogs. We could not believe we were treated so poorly.

The techs and front desk staff are friendly. They generally can get you an appt next day. The bad: 1. My pet has been seen here within the past 6 months. I called to get a simple flea and tick med refill. We are up to date on the heart worm testing that had been performed here. The receptionist told me I could not get the med filled because it is state law to be up to date on rabies vaccination to get flea and tick medicines prescribed. My pet did not have a rabies vaccine on file at the first visit, when they prescribed me a 6 month dose. They did not tell me at the time that a stipulation to refill would be to have proof of rabies vaccine. Poor communication to me, and gave me misinformation because it is not State law, but instead their individual policy for this company that they must have proof of rabies to prescribe anything else to you. I appreciate that the medical director did call me back same day and listened to my concerns. They filled the med as a one off, but it was very disheartening to have to jump through hoops to get a preventative care medicine that other vets would readily give because all that is actually required by law is a valid vet-client relationship which, for most vets, means they have examined your pet within the past year. 2. We had cytology sent away for my dogs lump. The vet called to discuss the results and said that not enough sample had been collected, but she was confident it was a lipoma. This seemed to be an error in collecting the sample, but when discussing with the medical director it was told to me that this was another miscommunication. It was actually deemed a lipoma per the lab. 3. We brought our 4 month old, 4 pound kitten is for pre-surgical labs for her spay. They said she was too unruly and gave us meds to make her calmer. We came back with her medicated and they were still unable to get a blood sample. This is not a feral cat, she is a well domesticated cat we have bottle fed since 4 weeks old. The vet that performed her spay was able to get bloodwork without pre-meds. Unfortunately too much "bad" outweigh the "good" for us to return here.
