You have to email for the password, but my in-laws struggled to get a response. The inside is dark and red all over. I understand the dim lighting, but with a nice display of liquors, I couldn't see a thing. The cocktail list is small considering that day they were out of mint. I went recently and I just walked in from the street and greeted the person standing at the door. It's hard to miss but just follow your maps app and you'll see it. We ended up coming here after we found out that they yassified Der Rathskeler (big old bummer to be playing hip hop with full lights on in a weird, creepy basement like why??) Anyways. It wasn't hard to find because you really just need to ask the bouncer who is standing outside of the exit. He will give you a riddle to the password and then tell you where the entrance is. The entrance is cool and you walk through the kitchen to get to the bar, but honestly that's where the experience stops being "speakeasy". We went on a Friday and it was loud and EDM-y, with a mixed clientele. The seating was really weird, it was like restaurant seating which doesn't give off speakeasy vibes. No cute nooks or booths, it didn't feel intimate at all. The drinks were lackluster and it was just an overall MEH experience. This place could use a facelift and dress code. read more

Super fun ! I love that it was kind of mysterious and you have to send an email to receive the "password". Then reciting the password to the mysterious doorman wondering if he's gonna let you in or just tell you that you're crazy. Upon entering the place is dimly lit except for the wall of spirits. The red lighting makes you feel like you're in a vampire bar. The drinks were good and priced fair. There is a dress code. No hats and no sports gear. I'm gonna guess no shorts either. We had a great time here. We came right before 9pm on a Friday night so we had our pick of tables pretty much, which was nice. It's all bar service, meaning you go to the bar for drinks and no table service, no big deal. However, as 9:30-10 hit, it got very crowded and bunched up at the bar so it did take some time to get helped especially with people cutting in front. My hubby and I came to this speakeasy on a Saturday night. It was relatively busy but not so busy that we couldn't find seats or tables. To get in, you need to email the day of and they will provide password and instructions on how to find their entrance. You can't just show up and expect to get in. There is a loose dress code which the instructions will provide. Mainly no athletic wear or baseball caps. Nothing too crazy but seemed like this dress code made a few potential customers upset. It's their bar so it's their rules. As always, play by the rules. No reason to get upset. It was really fun to trying to find the entrance. The actual street side entrance is a deli shop... albeit a somewhat poorly disguised deli shop (a bit comical). The directions will point you to the back side of the bar down an alley way to find a very discrete door with no labels or people around. Thats where you'll knock and door man will ask for the password and lead you through their kitchen, through the back of the DJ booth and into their bar! And you're there! The experience is worth coming to check out on its own. Its very unique and fun. Music is house music as it gets later and it does get a bit louder as the evening progresses. I wasn't much a fan of the drinks. They were a bit mediocre and didn't have the depth of flavor that I was looking for. It tasted like some fruit juice with simple syrup mixed with a shot of alcohol and that's it. It was a bit disappointing especially after many reviewers recommended their drinks. For $13 or $14 a drink, I'd probably spend my money elsewhere. This is probably the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 starts. It's definitely worth coming for the ambiance, vibe, and experience. But if you're looking for good drinks, I'd probably hop onto the next place. read more

This place and a great ambience. A real intimate setting that's was really chill. You need to go online for the password and if it's after 9pm find the secret entry in the alley to get in. They explain the rules before entering. I like that they allow photos as long as the flash isn't on. The drinks were good even though it took a long time to make. The drinks are all handcrafted. I ordered the bees knees and it was served in a little bear shaped jar that you get honey in. My friend ordered the afghani mule and she loved it. My third friend ordered the strawberry surprise. Needless to say, we all loved our drinks. The speakeasy is spacious and they have a DJ playing mostly techno music. I've been here two times. It's pretty popping sometimes. You got to get a password to get in which is a nice touch. You can get it by charming the guy at the front or giving them a call. The drinks are pretty good although most of them are just small variations of standard drinks. Definitely try the moonshine shots as it's one of their signature drinks.
