I needed some help working on my bike and stopped by to have the mechanics here take a look. After ringing the bell, a friendly mechanic popped out and asked how he could help, then offered to take a look and see if it was an easy fix. Turns out it wasn't, bit have me a specific quote on what the cost and timeframe were and he was spot on! I returned a few days later to pick up and it could not have been a better experience; my bike was spinning smoothly again! For future bike service, I will be back and would highly recommend!

Cool little spot on Elizabeth. Was just in for some drinks at the bar for the Vegan Drinks outing, so can't speak to the bike repair side of things, but it's a cool little spot for a few beers. One side is an actual bar with like 6 taps and the other side is bike shop. They featured several local craft beers. I stuck with $3 cans of Triple C 3C IPA which seemed like kind of a steal. They've got the affordable PBR draft as well as the reasonably priced locals. Not a huge place to hangout (only seats at the bar), but you can hang out on the patio out front which is nice. Inside, they were doing some fun things with two stationary type bikes having two people race. It's all set up so the rest of the place can see who is winning and the final results. I did not partake, but it was fun to watch. It felt like a good hub for the bike community to gather before and after rides.

Didn't have what I needed, but they were super friendly on the phone. Planning to go here in the future for gear needs.

The place was actually hard to find despite the super clear google maps directions. I blame the odd…read moresignage (one shirted dummy, seated; words at the top of a window which are largely covered by an awning; text atop that awning with a different name on it!) as I definitely saw and identified the location to the left and the two boutiques to the right as I ride right past this main event. I literally thought this place was a vintage shop based on the branding I could see and the TIKI STATUE in the main window display. The location itself was neat and clean, and totally packed. I was impressed with all of the inventory they had. That said, I didn't know what some of it was and I couldn't tell what a lot of it cost. Clarity of labeling is important to keep things from feeling like clutter and to allow customers to help themselves. Also, I just didn't really feel the love which tells me that at this location customers do have to help themselves. I came by to see what the place was all about and what kind of services were offered but didn't really find that out. Did speak with someone who appeared to be working and it looked like there was a huge shop area in the back but I didn't really get a sense for what was going on, what was available, who would be helping me/my new baby girl (haven't named her, yet), etc. I'll definitely check them out again if/when I've got something specific going on, but this visit felt pretty average. If you're going to help me with my wheels, I want to feel like you love her, too. Even if she's been around the block a time or two!

If your considering buying bikes, take a minuet to read my experience…read more Talking about getting bikes for over 1 year now, my wife & I were driving by The Bike Gallery on Park Rd. and decided to stop in. We had no intent to buy anything as we were just starting the process and didn't even have a budget or even know what kind or brand of bike to get. Immediately greeted by the guy at the counter, I let him know we just wanted some information. He asked us a few questions and talked us through several options. As he began to narrow down our goals, he walked us outside to show us what he felt would be a good fit. Trying them out in the parking lot we were pleased. Of course I hadn't looked at the price tag, so I asked the question, and much to my surprise they were much less than I expected. This guy could have "up sold" me, but he didn't. This was the right bike for us. No pressure whatsoever, I don't even think he asked us if we wanted to purchase them, but we were so thrilled with the experience we ordered two bikes that day. We got a call that our bikes were ready and went to pick them up. When we arrived, we were met again by one of the owners and he immediately got our bikes. Remember, we are new to this so they could have sold us anything, but no pressure. I asked about helmets, he showed us a few options but suggested one, so we both of them, I also purchased a bike rake for my truck, and they put it together so I could use it bringing my bikes home. They didn't have to do that.... But they did. A family-owned business for 50 years, brand name bikes, surprisingly reasonable prices and great service, I won't think twice if I need anything and will make the drive across town just to do business with these guys. If you think you're going to get a bike cheaper somewhere else, trust me, you will get a cheap bike. If you're thinking about getting new bikes or even need service on the ones you have, cheat yourself, go see the team at The Bike Gallery. Joe & Megan, Mint Hill, NC
