The people I talked to, both on the phone and in person were courteous, friendly and expert. The person I spoke to over the phone knew immediatley what size bike I needed based on my height and checked the manufacurer's site for availability. I decided to visit the shop since I had some questions about the bike. I ordered the bike on Tuesday, it was ready on Friday and I picked it up on Saturday. I especially liked their website where they list all of the bikes available by manufacturer and type (i.e. mountain, road, hybrid, etc.) I was able to pick out the bike I wanted and the price I paid was the MSRP on the website - no markup; and the price included assembly. I also get a free tuneup within 3 months of the purchase. Also, my receipt says that new bikes come with a lifetime adjustment package, which includes adjustments on gears, brakes, wheel alignment, etc. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend the shop to anyone looking to buy a new bicycle or have their old one tuned. read more

Talking about getting bikes for over 1 year now, my wife & I were driving by The Bike Gallery on Park Rd. and decided to stop in. We had no intent to buy anything as we were just starting the process and didn't even have a budget or even know what kind or brand of bike to get. Immediately greeted by the guy at the counter, I let him know we just wanted some information. He asked us a few questions and talked us through several options. As he began to narrow down our goals, he walked us outside to show us what he felt would be a good fit. Trying them out in the parking lot we were pleased. Of course I hadn't looked at the price tag, so I asked the question, and much to my surprise they were much less than I expected. This guy could have "up sold" me, but he didn't. This was the right bike for us. No pressure whatsoever, I don't even think he asked us if we wanted to purchase them, but we were so thrilled with the experience we ordered two bikes that day. We got a call that our bikes were ready and went to pick them up. When we arrived, we were met again by one of the owners and he immediately got our bikes. Remember, we are new to this so they could have sold us anything, but no pressure. I asked about helmets, he showed us a few options but suggested one, so we both of them, I also purchased a bike rake for my truck, and they put it together so I could use it bringing my bikes home. They didn't have to do that.... But they did. A family-owned business for 50 years, brand name bikes, surprisingly reasonable prices and great service, I won't think twice if I need anything and will make the drive across town just to do business with these guys. If you think you're going to get a bike cheaper somewhere else, trust me, you will get a cheap bike. I went here for the first time to see what they had and the different bikes they sold. First, they had a sign on their door to wait outside, no one was in the store and I had to wait for 10-15 minutes. When someone finally came out, I asked if I could look at bikes and his first response was "we don't see used bikes". Okay? Then after I asked if I could look at the bikes again he stated, "well yes, they are all new, but they are $1500 and above". I did not ask for the price or anything, I just asked to see the bikes. I was disturbed by the fact that he just assumed that I didn't want to pay for a bike. I just left because I could not handle his ignorance. read more

This is a tiny little bikestore located right off Park Road. And while it may be small, it's definitely cram as much as they can into the place. They have plenty of bikes, mainly mountain bikes, but they also have some cycling & kids bikes as well. Raleigh & Fuji are their main 2 brands, so don't expect much else in the way of brand variety. When you walk in, you're shuffled between 2 rows of bikes, which is the majority of this stores inventory. And while they cram in the bikes in here, they also have some apparel such as clothing & shoes. The prices here seemed pretty reasonable, but you won't find too much of a variety, considering it's such a small store. So if you're looking for something particular, they probably won't have what you're looking for. But if you're looking to get into biking, then they'll be able to help you out. read more

Bikes, bikes, and more bikes. I didn't need a bike when I went in, but if I did I'm sure they would have one that I like. It's a small store, but filled to the brim with accessories. I needed a bike lock and the nice guy behind the counter quickly directed me to their locks. It was over $20 (you can get other locks at Target for about $5 less), but I got 5 keys to go with the one lock. Maybe they think I'll have issues with losing my keys and want to keep me on the safe side. I was in and out within 5 minutes! Perfect, quick stop! read more

Alright, there are two sides to this review: the technical bike lingo and the customer service, I'll do the second first. I visited a couple days ago to get my tire inflated, a tubeless set up (really hard to seat the tire without a compressor). To be fair, it was 20minutes to close. However, one of the two employees took barely two minutes to assess my problem, an "older" tire on a rim that "wasn't designed very well", and instead of trying one or two more times he immediately went over and talked about a Mavic wheelset and why it was superior. After which he said he wasn't going to spend time to help further, and they normally charge to seat a tire, and then I left. As a rider this is infuriating. I have Industry 9 hubs and WTB KOM rims, which is a high end hub paired with decent rim, and I hand built these. Saying my setup isn't likely to work (despite the tire being off the wheel for 2 days tops, for the non bike people) and blaming the design of a well known rim manufacturer is just lazy, and not wanting to put any effort o helping a rider get back on the trail, regardless how close it is to closing time is asinine. Now to the technical side: I've worked in shops. I know that there are rims more and rims that are less suited. I know that the bead of a tire can stretch over time and may not seal as well (if at all), so he did have a point and I'm not knocking that. However, claiming my rim didn't have the correct pieces (hooked rim) despite it clearly having one, plus TCS (tubeless compatible system) on the rim, AND this behling one of the higher end aluminum rims....TCS is designed to be work, and that's across the board for Specialized, DT Swiss, Stan's, WTB Mavic...each system has ups and downs yes but saying it's not going to work with the tire is just flat out wrong. I ended up going to Bike Sport on Selwyn Ave, and in about 7min flat they had SUCCESSFULLY seated the tire on the rim. Maybe Gallery didn't take the valve core out, maybe they just didn't care, but I won't recommend them. read more

My son and I went to go buy a helmet and repair his bike. We did not have an appointment and understood we needed too wait between appointments and we did. We waited for ten minutes outside and we were not helped. He clearly saw us. When the next appointment came he told us we needed wait until the appointment was over and only is it was done under 30 minutes could he help us. We just moved here and we are avid bike riders and spend a lot of money on this sport. We also want to support local stores over national stores. But when the person working is pissed that you are there to do business with a business then you lose customers and you have lost two today. read more

I needed a water bottle holder/mount for my cruiser bike (which didn't have the little hooks on the frame for a holder). After trying a couple bike shops and having no luck, I was happy to find a mount at The Bike Gallery. When I explained what I was looking for, the employee was pretty helpful and showed me the best way to put it on my bike. For a small store, they had a lot of bikes and accessories in there.
