We came here for dinner tonight. I got the stand burger with cheddar and fried. My wife got a chicken burger on a gluten free bun, with avocado. My burger was ok. I asked for medium and it came out very well done. Sweet potato fries and the normal fries were really good. Big miss on the gluten free bun. Basically inedible. I don't know where they are getting the gluten free buns from, but they should stop, or take it off the menu completely. It fell apart in your hands and was mealy. We were disappointed, especially since we have been to other locations in the Bay Area, and there's were much better.

Stand Burger add Havarti and Blue Cheese

Stopped into The Stand for lunch today and was not disappointed! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is clean and cozy[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the World Cup was on (Japan vs. Brazil). The service was fast and friendly and the staff explained my options for cooking the burger. I chose a medium rare The Stand Burger with nothing on it, add Havarti and Blue Cheese, wow! A perfect flavor combination, complimented with a fresh brioche bun. I chose a side of Fire Fries, zing! Plenty of tang and a nice heat. Lastly, the strawberry shake was excellent! Will be back to explore more menu items. Enjoy!

I stopped by here after picking up some 3D printing supplies at Micro Center, and it was a great find. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is perfect if you're looking for a spot with delicious food and a relaxed, casual vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was excellent--specifically Natalie, who was incredibly helpful. I asked her for her take on the Miso Burger, and her description was spot on and helped me decide it was exactly what I was looking for. We did have a bit of a wait for the food, but honestly, it was expected given what we ordered, and the quality made it well worth it. Also, don't sleep on the Meyer Lemon Aioli; it was the perfect pairing with the fries. Definitely a solid go-to for a casual meal

Southwest Chicken Wrap
Amy B.

The Southwest Chicken Wrap is one of their healthier items and I love to get a side of ranch sauce as I'm a ranch sauce fan more so than the chipotle crema that the wrap comes with. It's still a lot of calories so I only eat this once every 2-3 months, but it's great quality and very clean and tasty. The staff are very hardworking and honestly they seem a bit understaffed, but their meal benefit is still kinda cool, I'd imagine, given the awesome variety of popular foods here! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is very inviting, clean, well-maintained, and casual friendly with a bit of the dimmer sports bar vibe although I'm not aware that they necessarily serve alcohol or have sports on TV.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, one of my shortlisted food spots in OC for everyday food at an awesome quality and reasonable pricing!!

Kale Quinoa Crunch Salad

Perhaps due to being counter service, The Stand hasn't been on my radar for dining destinations. I'm glad that our family member selected it, as it completely satisfied our cravings for salads. I thoroughly enjoyed my choice of Kale Quinoa Crunch Salad, chock-full of quality ingredients, tasty flavors and textures. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's limited, tight seating available inside; I appreciate and prefer the open-&-airy seating options outside (especially on a nice day) -- which makes it fun if others in your party opt to order from the other dining establishments.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Given the seemingly small number of people around, service was far slower than expected, but appreciatively pleasant, helpful, and professional. I like that they identify their options for those with food allergens (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy free). Fun experience for a casual meal. Eager to taste more off their menu!

Love this place Everytime. It's one of those places where pretty much everything on the menu is good and you come back over and over because there are so many good options. I think the meat quality is also pretty good. I also love it because my kids have so many options. The service is usually pretty good. We also used them for catering and it was perfect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is always a game in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think they are a bit stingy with the napkins.

Short Rib Grilled Cheese, French fries

This sandwich is hard to beat. It hits every mark, without fail! Every bit of it just marries together so well, and the portion is quite large. Their fries are also a hit, especially with ranch. The ranch is garlicky and thick, and doesn't seem like a traditional dill and buttermilk recipe. As for service, the waitstaff were very quick and eager to please. The outside seating at this location is also quite nice.

Who doesn't love burgers and fries?? Haha! My friend and I visited The Stand for lunch on Friday, 6/26. I live in Irvine and always drive past the plaza it's in... I rarely go there and saw a that they had burgers! It was my first time and I was pleasantly surprised! I had a kid's meal (lol) - it came with a burger, mac and cheese on the side, and a fountain drink. My friend got a salad and an oreo shake! Overall, I'd give this place a 10/10. The food was delicious. Bonus points that it's in a nice location!!

I love The Stand!! It was my first time at this particular location and it's as amazing as ever. Huge location with a fantastic patio with tons of great seating. My favorite is their Veggie Bliss Burger. The crispy onion straws, house made veggie patty and all other ingredients make each bite more and more delicious! They have fabulous sides, like the crispy French fries or Mac n cheese with crunchy bread crumbs. I highly recommend getting a side of their creamy ranch and some complimentary pickles! Plus, the brownies are to die for! All the staff were kind and helpful. It's an order at the counter type of place and then they bring you your food, and even buss it at the end. It's a 10/10 at The Stand!

Veggie Bliss Burger

The Stand is a decent neighborhood burger joint for a casual meal. You order at the counter and get a number to take to a table. I like that they have a veggie patty that isn't fake meat, but made of quinoa, brown rice, black beans, carrots and corn. Their Veggie Bliss is a nice alternative to a regular burger, with fried onions, pepper jack cheese, guacamole and pickled red onions. They also have a good turkey burger, if you're avoiding red meat. Onion rings are good, but greasy. You can choose two sauces to go with it. Indoor and outdoor seating available (I prefer outdoors to soak up the sun). The Stand has a nice selection of beers on tap. Plenty of parking in the lot.

Dropped by on a weekday to try their salads and ordered the chimichuri steak salad with charred corn vinaigrette. The portion was generous but the steak wasn't the most tender and the chimichuri had an unusual taste that didn't work for me. I also ordered the sweet potato fries which were tasty at first but quickly lost their texture and became soggy. On the upside, the service was friendly and the ambience was inviting. They also offer burgers and wraps I might try on my next visit.

We were in the area and was craving burgers and hotdogs We looked on yelp and this was the first place to pop up We went and it was great Restaurant was clean and had lots of people Customer service was great very friendly Placed our order they offered us free pickles they were delicious Went to sit enjoyed the vibe Received our food pretty quickly Everything looked amazing Bbq Brisket on a pretzel roll was delicious Onion rings great Hot dog was perfect Pickles were amazing Would definitely recommend this place

Overpriced and overrated. Burger was raw. I asked for med to well done and it was more like you see in the picture. I've had better results there but when you see a high rate of change over in employees its a sign that things aren't so chipper behind the scenes

Do they accommodate groups? We have a water polo club traveling to this area and want to do a club dinner where everyeone can order their own meals. Would need to accommodate 40-50 people.

I personally wouldn't see an area for 40 to 50 people here, considering the regular customers as well. . Another option might be to place a huge catering order in advance for a beach or park trip? I'd speak to the management. They can guide you!

Do you have a Happy Hour Menu? Do you have TVs to watch Football games?

Hi Patty! Thank you for your inquiry. At this time, our Irvine location does not have a happy hour menu, but we do have TVs to watch football games. You can earn rewards, get special promotions, and save money by using The Stand App! You can learn…

How much more to add tomato, lecttce and grilled onion in kids burger?

These items can be added at no additional charge.

Can any of the milk shakes be made lactose free or with non-milk options like soy almond coconut? I ALWAYS want a shake and watch in envy as my family enjoys one. Make one and I'm forever your dedicated customer. 😀

Thank you so much for your business and inquiry. Unfortunately, not at this time but we will review your feedback with our culinary team as they continue to develop delicious creations. Stay tuned to our instagram (@thestandrestaurants) and join our…

Thank you for your inquiry and bringing this to our attention. It is not. We will look into this and try to remedy this error for future searches.

Whyyyyyy did you get rid of the hotdogs :(?

What? They still have hotdogs, and they are awesome!

I noticed they have the Impossible burger now. Does anyone know if the bun is vegan that comes with it?

Hi Jackie! Our wheat burger bun is vegan. You can order it with any burger for no additional cost. Please note that although we do make best efforts to avoid cross contact of allergens, we can not assure that all food does not inadvertently come in…

Are they dog friendly?

Yes. Plenty of outside seating.

Is there beyond patties substitutes?

No but they have a vegan patty that's pretty good.

Do they have slings to put car seats in? our baby is not big enough for a high chair yet.

Unfortunately we do not have the slings. We only have the high quality, Koala brand high chairs. My wife and I actually have a 10 month old and before she was big enough we would bring the car seat in and put it in one of our larger booth areas (or…

Is the new falafel patty vegan?

Yes. It's once of the protein options

Does this place serve food fast? I'm thinking of getting my lunch there on my break.

I usually have my order in my hand within five minutes of paying. Good burgers, give it a try.

Any gluten free options?

We offer salads, lettuce wrapped burgers and chicken sandwiches, and some veggie options that don't contain gluten. Our cashier can provide an allergy guide to help make your decision. You can also find an allergy guide on our website at…

Do they have a shuffleboard table here? They show one in the promo video but then I don't see one in any of the photos, or mentioned in any reviews.

Not at this location. Sorry.

Do you know when is happy hour?

There is not a set happy hour. You can order drinks at any time, though.

I see here they don't do reservations. are there usually lines here?

They go through orders pretty quick, haven't encountered much of a line here going at lunchtime (1pm) yet.

After The Counter…read moreclosed nearby, I really needed a new local burger place when I had a burger craving, and The Cut delivers. I either order The Cut (yes, the $40 burger and fries) or I make my own bleu cheese burger depending on my mood. I'll cut to the chase: is the $40 burger worth it? If you've got $40 to spare and you like burgers, I think it's definitely worth it. I mean, I've had it probably three or four times now, and I'm not some kind of moron who likes setting money on fire (I hope), so it must be good, right? What's unique about it? Basically everything, but obviously the patty of meat is the star of the show, with a unique taste and texture that makes it stand out from a normal ground beef patty, and the cheese is no slouch either. The only negative is that my wife bullies me into ordering it so she can steal a few bites. The regular fries and sweet potato fries are also great. My wife got a steak with her caesar salad one time, and that was delicious too. We usually have the same waiter since we come around the same time/day every time, and he's always great. They also always have a great selection of beers on tap, today they had three different West Coast IPAs and I felt like a kid in a candy store... yum! Normally when writing a review I can come up with some sort of complaint to balance things out, but not really in this case. I mean, I could whine that the burger is $40, but no one is forcing me to buy it (except for my wife). All in all, I think this is one of the best places in Irvine to have a pint of beer and a good meal.

This was conveniently located in the Tustin Marketplace and they were fortunately open until 11pm. Once we selected this restaurant, I downloaded their mobile app to see if they had a Rewards program, and was immediately granted a "Free French Fry" coupon. When I entered the restaurant, it was quite busy for 9pm on a Friday. I was immediately greeted by a very kind and helpful cashier (didn't catch her name but she had dark brown hair and glasses), who was very patient with me as I read the menu. She kindly notified me that I could use the free fry coupon on any of their availability options. I ordered the Magic Shroom burger, sweet potato fries, and a Oreo milkshake. The cashier then provided me with the number of the two top booth that she selected for us. At HopDoddy, the tables are assigned to the customer, even though it's a counter service restaurant. I actually preferred this method since it took the guess work out of me trying to find a suitable table :) Our food was brought out quickly with the fries being served first. They came with ketchup and an aioli sauce and I requested mustard on side. The fries were fresh and a generous portion. A great value considering they were free with the app coupon! The burger arrived, and I sadly have to admit that we were a bit disappointed. The flavor and temperature of the burger were good, but it was small compared the other restaurants serving $15 dollar burgers. The pesto sauce was the highlight of the dish. The Oreo milkshake is prepared with a custard base as compared to traditional ice cream. It was fine, but I wouldn't order it again. I prefer standard milkshakes as compared to a custard base. Overall, the staff members were friendly and our food was served quickly. The restaurant was clean and had the added benefit of being open late and being located in a central area of Tustin. That being said, the food was not memorable and I most likely wouldn't return on the basis of taste and satiety from the meal. I would return for a quick late night bite if I wanted to sit down in a restaurant instead of surrendering to the long drive thru line of a nearby, very popular fast food burger establishment (cough cough In-n-Out).

Since it was my first visit, I took a moment to look over the menu before ordering. The employee helping me, Gigi, seemed visibly impatient while I was deciding. While that may be true, it felt dismissive and didn't really answer the question I was asking. After placing my order, I asked for ranch and house sauce. I was told, "50 cents," and then informed that one sauce was complimentary while the other would cost extra. I had no issue paying for it, but the interaction felt cold and transactional rather than welcoming. The food itself was okay. The fries were good, although the saucy fries could have used more sauce. The ranch dressing spilled throughout the bag, which made a mess of everything inside. I was also disappointed with the onion rings--there were only six in the order, which didn't feel like a good value for the price.
