Good food, if you get your order correct. Service was horrible. Went here on a Thursday afternoon to get take-out lunch for my coworkers and I. We put in 6 orders -- 5 were burgers and one was a sandwich. Pretty simple and not hard to mess up. I came and picked it up, walked out to my car to see if I have all my orders but I'm missing one. No biggie. I decided to walk back to tell them I'm missing a chicken sandwich. Instead of just trusting the customer, they had me walk back to my car and bring back the bag so they can check for themselves. I can understand if it were multiple items, but it's one sandwich. So after they checked and there is in fact one missing order, they told me that they'll make my sandwich and bring it out. Specifically told me it was going to take 7-10 mins cause the chicken needs to cook. They brought it out within 3 mins but I didn't question it. But of course when we got back and my coworker got his food, it wasn't a chicken sandwich. It was a burger. So if you want to eat here and don't want missing or wrong orders, dining in would be a better choice. read more

The Stand's burger was very good. I give it a 4 star and if the patty was seasoned a bit more (for my taste) I would have gave it a 5 star. I ordered an onion string burger, fries, and soda. The fries were excellent. They were fresh just like the burger. The cost was 19.00 and some change so they are a bit pricey. I would definitely go back because the food was very good and the restaurant was clean. The short rib grilled cheese is live changing. Every element of the sandwich is perfectly matched and I can definitely see myself coming back again for this item alone. We also ordered the pastrami burger and short rib fries - everything was delicious. Cooked to perfection. As far as drinks... The Stand Hefeweizen was nice and refreshing as was the IPA (we ordered one of each and shared). The staff is very attentive, they checked on us a couple times to see if we needed anything else, and even cleared away our empty plates as we waited for our little one to finish his fries. They advertise curbside pick up but don't have it. I placed an order saying I wanted curbside pickup. When my husband arrived and called to say he was there they told him he had to come in and they aren't doing curbside pick up. WTF. I was surprised by how good the food was. The beef was fresh and clean without a heavy aftertaste. I did not have an unquenchable thirst after dinner. The service was prompt and somewhat friendly. Menu layout is massive so take your time looking over the options. Dining area is a bit small but there's plenty of outside seating available with ample heat sources if necessary. The Business burger was massive and delicious. Porchetta was flavorful and tender. Bacon was thick cut. Fresh greens and plump mushrooms (though the moisture from the mushrooms completely soaked the bottom bun). I ordered a double patty on this and it was massive but perfect. ABC burger was clean and simple. Great flavor of the beef shown through and they didn't try to hide it which is great. Many burger places drown their patties in sauces and cheese to mask the inevitable aftertaste. The Stand (and The Cut down the street on Alton and Culver) both satisfy my needs for an over average burger. Cobb salad was very fresh with ample dark greens and generous toppings. The blue cheese vinaigrette was requested off but they tossed it in anyway, BUT, that's ok because though I absolutely despite blue cheese, the vinaigrette was light enough to make me believe I was tasting a feta dressing. Nicely done. Fries.....I'll say this was a pass. Thick cut. Hot. Barely crispy outside and mushy inside. Maybe if I order them extra crispy next time, it'll be better. I saw a few people eating onion rings that those looks good. Custard sort of dessert they have is more like whipped cream than custard. I wouldn't order this as a dessert but I wouldn't mind it as a topping on a brownie or something, which they offer. Beers on tap are good but not well spread out so you won't really find something for everyone, though I will say that what they do have is, for the most part, good. Golden Road is also on tap here which was a nice surprise. The plaza itself is really nice with ample seating and generous parking. Being housebound from the current state of affairs in the OC we were jonesing for something yummy from a local restaurant. We checked out Yelp for suggestions and decided to give The Stand a try. We went to their website to see if they were still open for take-out or delivery. They were. Yay us! I recently started a low carb diet so I opted for a build your own burger and got it on top of a salad. I love that you have that option. Brilliant for a restaurant to offer that. I also got the Lemon Sesame Brussels Sprouts. OMG. Delish! My husband got a burger as well and fries. He said they were also yummy. Maybe its what we ordered, and my kids liked it more than me, but to me it wasnt that special. Service was fine, order at the counter, they bring it to you. We went in the middle of the afternoon, so they were not too busy, and the food came out fairly quickly. We ordered fries, burger, and a hot dog. Fries were hot, but really not to my liking. I am not a fan of coated fries, and these were lightly coated, but kind of tasteless. The hot dog seemed boiled and not grilled, and it was warm at best and not hot.. The burger was the best thing we had. It was hot, tasted pretty good, and good amount of toppings. The pricing was more in line with an Islands, which honestly, I think is much better. Whoever invented the menu is one of the most creative types out there because I love their food. I've ordered the ABC burger, which is full of meat, bacon and other bad stuff for you lol. Wow this burger is so meaty and tasty. Who cares about the meat and fat! Just enjoy it. I've also tried the Ultimate Egg Burger. I wish I thought of something like this because it combines two of my favorite items - eggs and beef in a burger! Yeah! The short rib grilled cheese is another of my favorites. DAAAAAAAAAAAAAANK! Bit of a burger snob and The Stand didn't disappoint. We were in the area killing time and had burgers on the brain. I hit up Yelp and typically don't make a decision 100% off of a rating but I did this time, mostly because I didn't want to read reviews or look at pictures; just search and go. There were several choices within close range. I liked the logo, seemed like it could serve up some bespoke burgers. Classy area, new, nice outside area and some other choice shopping like Gelsons and The Orchard etc. walked up grabbed a menu positioned in an outside welcome stand and was quickly overwhelmed by an orchestra of sensuous foods. The burgers sounded absurdly delish and wait - hot dogs, brats, brews sammys, deserts and...... SHAKES! I felt I'd hit the "where oh where should we eat" jackpot. Service was welcoming and friendly to explain items - in detail. This wasn't some wanna be burger joint. The food was bespoke to the nines. This place is a great place, nothing really to complain about. The design is also smart and I feel like everything was easily accessible. I'm not sure if this place will ever get crazy busy so you probably won't have to wait too long for your food. The drinks are self serviced so unlimited refills all day if you plan to stay there all day because you have nothing better to do with your life. They also have two all-gender bathroom, so you know they're cultured. The restroom was clean and had the air dryer for you environmentally conscious people. But they also have an electric paper dispenser for you people who dont care about the environment. So you know they be living in 2069 here at the Stand. The service was great! I didn't really need anything but the staffs were friendly and accommodating. They bring out the food to your table if you plan to eat there. Now for the food itself! It was amazing! My party had the Stand burger, ahi tuna salad, sweet potatoes fries, and onion rings. No complaints at all, so I can't deduct any stars. I had the ahi tuna salad, which was beautifully seared and presented. I'm sure all of the other salads would be just as beautiful. The thai sauce was so flavorful and adds a lot of flavors to the already diverse salad. I feel like the leafy greens in the salad were from a bag but it's all good. lol They didn't ask me how I would have liked my tuna cooked and I wouldn't have cared but I guess the default cook is medium. They did ask the cook on the meat for the burger though. The sides were okay. Nothing too special about them. My experience here was good! I don't have anything to complain about. read more

I was trying to take my wife out to "the counter" restaurant and I mixed up the name and we ended up at the stand. It was a happy mistake because this is now one of our favorite spots to go to and we have never made it to "the counter". I haven't tried anything on the menu that I haven't liked. I even like the salads, which is quite a statement for me. The customer service is always great and the restaurant is always nice and clean with plenty of seats available. I'm not generally a cheeseburger guy but every once in a while I want one and mostly I don't find the type that I really like. The Stand burgers are amazing. So juicy, flavorful and you have option to customize to your liking. I ordered the Onion Stack burger and I loved it. On the side we got their Fire Fries, onion rings, and cookie butter shake. I've been a returning customer for a little move than a year now, but have yet to review this place, so here goes: As a returning customer, I am definitely a fan of the food they serve here. Additionally, the customer service they provide whether it be the person taking my order or the the person checking on us to make sure that everything came out and is tasting amazing. This most recent visit I was helped by Natalya, she was attentive and provided me with insight on the different items that they serve and explaining to my coworker that I brought for the first time. Works of art? Yes. So you go to those chains, both large, and small, and the burgers look like something out of a horror film. They never look, of taste as you imagined. The Stand is not that type of chain. With a few locations in SoCal, The Stand produces some of the best fast causal food available in SoCal. Every item is as pictured and tasted fresh. I love the Cobb Salad, along with Burgers. The Stand strives to prepare the best every time you visit regardless of the location. The prices are fair, and the portions are always more than generous. They offer a vast menu of salads, dogs, burgers and shakes. This is one of those places you would drive 30 miles just to eat here. Hats off to the owner. read more

Wowza! Came here on a friend's suggestion and had to try the French onion soup that every was raving about... and now I know why! Seriously one of the best burgers I've tried in a really long time - it's amazing how spot on they got the onion soup flavor. I know... either you love or hate onions but if you're an onion lover like ME then this is a MUST TRY! :) I also tried the kale salad (to counter out the naughtiness of my decadent burger) and really like it too.
