    La Havana
    Brian G.

I got the La Havana which was essentially a Cubano. The pork was above average and overall the sandwich was solid. I liked the fries since they were well seasoned and crispy. This place is a cafe style spot so you order then take a table number and seat yourself.

Cute cafe setup, lots of seating inside and out with a small covered patio. Service was quick and friendly. First side order of bacon (2slices) was pretty well over cooked and the second order (which got missed on initial order) was prepared much better (3 slices). We came for the cinnamon roll which looked amazing, my partner expressed they didn't seem fresh possibly a day old? Not quite stale but getting there, another downside is they don't carry any extra frosting since they don't bake onsite. The almond croissant seemed underbaked to me so I didn't finish it. They only had decaf espresso when we visited, my oat milk cappuccino was as expected, nothing decadent.

Had brunch here yesterday on a Wednesday. Literally, middle of the week, and it was packed! Line out the door, but inside, it was surprisingly spacious...and LOUD. You order and pay up at the counter, they hand you a number stand, then hunt for a place to sit. There were groups of people hanging out and "brunching", while others were alone working in laptops. Honestly, I wouldn't be able to concentrate in there with all the noise. Anyhoo, I ordered the benedict, which came with a side of potatoes. Looked very appetizing! Unfortunately, I found everything to be on the salty side, especially the potatoes. My friend ordered their breakfast "burrito" filled with veggies and a protein of sorts (please look up the menu to find out what is inside). The burrito was more like a wrap, so not your typical burrito, but it was tasty! It came with a spicy sauce on the side and fruit. It didn't really need the sauce because the burrito was pretty flavorful; but if you wanted a extremely slight kick, add the sauce. I also took home a rolled Nutella pastry. It was very rich, flaky, and drizzling with Nutella. I ate it (only half) when I got home and I remembered the guy asking if I wanted it warmed up. I should have done that. Overall, it is a great place to meet up with friends and chat up a storm. Trust me, no one will hear your conversations. Would I come back? Sure. Although it is pretty far, I would probably try one of their drinks and something else on the menu, and maybe ask for no salt on the potatoes.

Nutmeg is a really cute spot to enjoy a nice breakfast or brunch. There are plenty of food and drink options to choose from on their pretty large menu. On my visit to Nutmeg, I had the opportunity to try their egg breakfast - a classic. I ordered the eggs over medium, which can be hard for some to get right - but they were perfectly done here, which impressed me! The bacon was also perfectly cooked. Sadly, other than those two items, the rest left me wanting a bit more. The breakfast potatoes were bland and could have used much more seasoning. They gave me a nice portion of them on my plate, but I didn't end up finishing them as they were a bit lacking. My added sausage patty was where they put all the salt as it was a bit over salted. And the Italian soda I had to wash everything down with lacked the sweetness it really should have had. I just found the food flavors to be unbalanced.

Food: We liked apples strudel and fresh cookies. Service was great and not rushed. Ambiance was pretty casual and busy. Lots of couples and families

The girl who took our order acted like helping customers was a huge inconvenience. I politely asked, "Hi, how are you?" and she responded with, "I'm great, what would you like to order," in the coldest, most robotic tone possible. No smile. No thank you. No "how about you?" It immediately set the tone -- unfriendly and unwelcoming. I ordered a cinnamon roll and specifically asked if it was possible to get one of the middle pieces since the outside ones didn't look as good. She said yes -- but I still received an outside piece that was thick, dry, and lack of cream on it. Zero effort. Banana Foster stuffed French toast: 10/10 At one point, I went to the other side of the cashier area to grab a plastic fork for my daughter. Two employees saw me standing there and couldn't be bothered to ask if I needed help. I found the forks myself and grabbed one. When I asked the same girl who took my order if the forks were clean, she responded with a rude tone: "Yeah, but just ask us next time so you don't reach over." I was honestly caught off guard -- I didn't reach over anything, and even if I had, the attitude was completely unnecessary. The place is very spacey with seatings inside and outside.

All you need here is their warm coffee cake topped with whipped cream and a cup of coffee. The slice is huge--easily enough for three people to share. I also enjoyed the Egg Florentine plate, which came with house potatoes, a side of fruit, and toast. Plenty of indoor seating, along with some outdoor options, makes it a great spot to sit and enjoy your meal. The only downside is they close early.

    Spicy Corned Beef Hash
    Jason Y.

...craving something hearty and this hit the spot. corned beef hash was legit--a bit crispy, tender inside, and not overly salty like a lot of places tend to do. eggs were cooked just right too, yolk still rich and runny, tying everything together. english muffin was perfect for mopping up whatever's left on the plate. portion a bit undersized but a solid brunch option and I'd definitely come back.

This place can get very busy during the weekends. They only take reservations for a group of 8 or higher. This I learned while placing the order at the counter. But I had already called them to reserve table for 4 of us and someone on their end confirmed it. Nevertheless, they still accommodated us and told us the criteria for reservations. I ordered Omelette Florentine. I liked how it had a balance of couple eggs, couple slices of grilled sourdough, fried potatoes with tomatillo sauce and even fruits on the side. It was a healthy meal but the omelette tasted pretty bland. A little seasoning would make it so much better. Maybe I'll try their bakery items next time.

Nutella rolled croissant- look at all that nutella!

Busy lunch spot on a Friday and understandably so. The cafe and bakery has some hits and comfortable seating. I ordered a breakfast quesadilla which had soyrizo in it, plus three little pieces of fruit. The hot sauce provided was not spicy. I also got a Nutella croissant and wow-y. I thought I loved Nutella, but maybe I like pastry dough more? It was a good amount of nutella, and dare I say, a bit too much. It definitely a treat.

Nutmeg Bakery & Café has a cute vibe--very vintage café feel with wooden furniture, handwritten chalkboard menu, and lots of artisanal touches. The space feels warm, relaxed, and welcoming, with the kind of charm that makes you want to get coffee and chat for hours with friends. It's got that perfect brunch spot energy. We tried the chocolate croissant, but it honestly reminded us of the ones from Trader Joe's--and you can get a whole box of those for the same price. So, not super impressed there. The blueberry pancakes, on the other hand, were amazing--fluffy, light, and probably some of the best we've had. The Nutmeg Scramble had a unique combo of goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes, which was flavorful if you're into that kind of thing. Personally, I'm not sure I'd order it again, but I appreciated the creative flavors working together. The biscuit that came with it was pretty dry, though, and didn't add much to the plate. One downside about the experience was also the lack of information about ingredients--especially for someone with a group who had dietary needs. I asked if the gluten-free items were also yeast-free, and the staff wasn't sure and couldn't get any info on it. It would be super helpful if the pastry chef left a list of ingredients somewhere for transparency. That felt like a bit of a miss for an otherwise thoughtful spot.

    Toast
    Chloe J.

The stuffed French toast is delicious. The stuffing is not overly sweet but perfectly rich. The bacon is always cooked well. The drinks are where I'd say the quality is lacking. Italian soda was luke warm, flat, watered down, lacked flavor. But the food, ambiance, and staff is amazing.

Is the bottomless mimosas just for the weekend?

Yes, as far as I know!

Do they have the breakfast menu during the week?

Yes. They have breakfast and lunch all week

Hey there! We are proud to serve Coava coffee at both of our locations! We make our cold-brew in-house and use two different roasts for our brewed coffee and espresso.
