We came to The Stand for the first time today and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is BIG and has a huge outdoor patio too, super nice. Mike who took our order was super friendly and thorough with explaining the different options. I ordered the jalapeno bacon burger and it was really good, I was surprised. The jalapeños were fresh and spicy. My husband ordered the Tex mex steak bowl with rice and he said it was delicious. We will 100% be back and bring our kids. We saw they also do catering too, so we'll have to get this for a staff lunch here soon in the future. If you haven't tried this place yet, you should. We had the Stand burger and the ahi sandwich. Both were tasty and fresh. The ahi sandwich was served cold which was a surprise but hubby said it was good. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly, especially Ray! Lots of big screens to watch sports on and good music playing too. But not so loud you can't have a conversation. read more

I kept seeing this place and finally we came in and I'm so happy that we did. Prices were reasonable, lots of options, and friendly service. I got the Ultimate Egg Burger, Fire fries, reg fries and onion rings. I was a little worried when they asked me how i wanted my burger cooked because the last 2 times ive asked for my burger to be medium well at other establishments its either well done or raw and to my suprise it was cooked to perfection! I've never had pickled onions on a breakfast burger but it was really nice and gave it extra flavor and crunch I wasnt expecting. The bacon was also a star of the dish. I always say if I can eat it by itself and it stand on its own thats how you know its good. And it was GOOD! The only complaint was that my egg had already popped before I got it and I usually like to do it but I'll live. The best part were the sauces they gave on the side (no charge!) And on my burger. My favorite was the Sweet Chili Aioli, Jalapeño Scallion Aioli and THE RANCH. Omg the ranch was probably the best Ive had in a long time. We didn't like the fire fries though the sauce on it was too spicy for us and made the fries soggy. But apart from that it was a perfect meal. This place reminded us of Burger Lounge or Shake Shack but way cheaper. We cant wait to come back soon and try more things off their menu! Happy to have them in Santee. read more

Ive been waiting for this one to open since I tried it up in SJC. I love this place, it tastes really good and prices are very reasonable. The last time I went, I got the best customer service I think I ever received in my life. If you go to The Stand, do yourself a favor and find Mike. This man deserves a cape because he's basically customer-service Superman. Every time I walk in, he's friendly, attentive, and somehow knows exactly what I need before I even say it. I complained about my food one time nothing crazy and Mike fixed it so fast I'm convinced he used cheat codes. I blinked and boom, problem solved. No attitude, no "let me check with my manager," just straight efficiency. Restaurants need like 10 more Mikes. The Stand is already good, but Mike makes it elite.
