we came in for lunch on a busy saturday, my boyfriends food came out and about ten minutes later my food still hadn't arrived. it wasn't a big deal, but we asked Bridgette if she could check on my order, she was super apologetic and brought it out immediately. that was more than okay for me, but she proceeded to go out of her way to try to refund us, their system wasn't showing my order and we had said no to a receipt. she insisted on giving us a gift card for next time, which had more than double the amount that my food cost, and brought it over with a free cookie. it was so kind and above and beyond. thank you Bridgette,we will definitely be back!! read more

The food is good and deserving of a higher rating based on flavor. However, as a fit person it annoys me that the food is so poorly macro balanced. At this price point, the protein servings should be twice as large as they are. Across the board, protein is skimpy and undersized. The burgers, the $14 brisket sandwich, the chicken sandwiches, all chronically and painfully undersized. So, every time I visit I'm reminded of The Stand's poor value, as you're not really not getting much for the high prices. read more

This place has gone downhill. The food is generally good, but they can get never my order right!! This is extremely maddening for to-go orders when my husband or I have driven home before discovering the mistake and have to go back to have them correct it. Just this past week, I ordered a Southwest Chicken Salad only to find once my husband got home with it that they forgot the chicken!! I also ordered a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with no stand chips and no fire sauce--slaw and ranch only, and instead they made the sandwich with stand chips only; no slaw or ranch (or fire sauce). Astounding. Plus, 9 out of 10 times when I order a burger well done, it's not well done. Why even have this option available? They've also forgotten to give me salad dressing with my salad on at least 3 occasions but I've luckily caught this before heading home. I called the store over 7 times to put my order on the side (hot chicken) to not get the salad soggy. Don't have the option to put it on the side online they blocked it and since I'm a door dash customer they don't take calls. The 8th attempt someone answers and woman does not let me even speak and gives me attitude all because I said I have called multiple times before my ordered gets picked up by DoorDash. She over talks me saying it's too late and they can't put my order on the side anyway because they don't accommodate it's against their policy blah blah blah. The hamburgers are delicious and they have a large variety. I love the onion Rings because they are crispy and delicious. I am very pleasantly surprised how fast the is out and hot to enjoy. I am so happy i found this place in irvine/Tustin area. Food taste and looks exactly like photos. I got the chicken sandwich build your own and my bf got the cheeseburger, said it was extremely juicy and fresh. We rate this place 10/10. Green beans with Krispy onion straws were also 10/10. Prices are extremely affordable and the food definitely taste as good as it looks! The vibe is casual and has indoor and outdoor seating. Service was great, about a 15-20 min wait for the food. This is my absolute favorite place to go for a nice, inexpensive lunch. I usually order one of their salads, which is a good portion for a lunch or light dinner; one of their wraps; their short rib grilled cheese; or their popular French onion soup burger . But the staff here is even better than the prices or the quality of their food- which is already solid. One time I accidentally drowned my salad with dressing. I asked for another bowl so I could start draining the extra dressing into the other bowl and they offered to put more lettuce into the other bowl to help "un" drown the salad. My boyfriend got the baby kale and quinoa salad with added tuna and a side of sweet potato fries, and I got the sweet pepper and steak salad. It took a little while to get the food, but once it came, I was pleasantly surprised. The steak in my salad was packed with flavor. I wish there were more pieces of steak! The salad had a lot of different ingredients, and the yuzu miso dressing was tasty. The crispy rice noodles and quinoa furikake added a nice crunch to the salad, but I thought the proportion was a little too much compared with the rest of the salad. The crunchiness made my jaw hurt after a while. The salad was a large portion, so I was satisfied after the meal. I had a few of my boyfriend's sweet potato fries, which were tasty (it's hard to not enjoy sweet potato fries). However, they were not crispy and were greasy at the bottom. So I received a coupon for The Stand and just assumed it was for the one at The District. Upon driving to The District, I realize I have categorized all these "semi industrial looking burger joints" into one and the place at the District is actually Burger Boss haha oops. Anyway, a quick 5 minute drive and I'm at the proper place. I'm no fan of the bland American fast casual format so I often skipped Panera as a food option, didn't even see them. So when this The Stand turned up at the old Panera location, I had a head scratcher moment when I tried to figure out how long it's been there. Anyway, this current tenant seems to be an upgrade of sorts. I walk in and there's a welcome greeting yelled out by some staff. That's kind of nice! Service at the counter is friendly and helpful. We like that! They offer me a free beverage. This keeps getting better! I ask for a slight modification of grilled onions from the raw red onions on the tuna melt I order and for my sandwiches to be cut in half. They said "no problem." Sweet! They give me a free housemade potato chip sample. Thumbs up! So far I'm loving this place. Anyway, I get my drink cup. I tried the cucumber mint agua fresca. Not for me. Switched it to Coke. My order seems to take a long time but I ordered two grilled sandwiches so I guess that takes more time? I had ordered everything to go so I have to wait to get home to try it. When my order is up, a friendly staff member hands me bag of food and tells me to have a great evening. They're so nice here! So I had ordered the short rib grilled cheese. Upon hearing that order, the clerk told me it was a great choice and that it's really good. She was spot on. Rich and crunchy, the sandwich is filled with high points of taste and texture. The short rib is a bit sparse but they fill the gaps with a tomatoey sauce and melty cheese. It's a pretty salty sandwich but short ribs usually cook and condensed a long time. Would eat this sandwich again! I like to order extra food when I use coupons so I ordered a kids meal just to get some sides. I asked for mac n cheese with fries. Fries are a little soggy or tiny hard shards and only lukewarm to cold. I guess I got the dregs of the previous batch? The mac in question is pretty tasty though. Big cavatappi spirals capture a good amount of the creamy cheese sauce in each bite. There's no crunchy bread crumb topping or fancy funky cheese flavor but for a basic mac n cheese, I've had way worse in full service restaurants. Last comes the aforementioned tuna melt on pretzel bread. Well they wrote "melt" on the receipt (and charged me extra for it) but sadly it was a regular tuna sandwich with no grilling in sight. The took away the raw onions but didn't give me any grilled onions in their place. I had driven home before opening up the to go boxes. There's no way I'm going to go all the way back to fix orders and let the rest of the food get cold and unappetizing. I don't mind paying extra to get something how I want it but don't charge me money and still don't give me what I ordered. C'mon. The food being wrong is a big pet peeve. Especially to go. If you're still there you can ask for it to be put right but you're SOL if you get it to go. I knock off one star for this error. I have read in other reviews about their orders being wrong too. I hope this isn't something they keep doing and find acceptable. It's not. It's a shame because the staff has obviously been well trained to be extra friendly and welcoming. The best service won't bring me back if the food isn't right though. read more
