Food is always fantastic. I make a point of stopping by once a week mostly for take-out. Salmon on angel hair, 2 way kabobs cooked to order, short rib pappardelle pasta, the pastries... The cafe staff is always so friendly! I've eaten here close to a hundred times. Never had a bad meal. I've never heard of Zovs, a few of my friends have been coming here for years and have watched this restaurant build itself up, and I really wish I heard about this place sooner, because every time I opened my mouth and ate was one of those "you lean back in your chair and reflect" moments. Absolutely amazing. To start off once you get inside the bistro they keep it very fresh with natural light. It reminds me of what Javier's in Newport did with their semi outdoor revamp. The light is plentiful, it makes things open, more social. I love it. Our host was great in getting us a table, she was very kind. It also wasn't long before our waiter came by, I liked how the attentiveness was so quick. I came for brunch, so the menu itself isn't as plentiful with options as the dinner menu but there's something for everyone which I liked. It was 1pm but pancakes and French toast were still an option for appetizers, so I took a wild card and got the lemon ricotta pancakes and the baklava French toast which isn't pictured but we ate it all so quick I didn't get time to snap one. Both were EXTREMELY good, every single person who dipped their fork into the starters had something good to say, the airy lemon flavor with the light ricotta on the fluffy pancakes and the more sweet and soft feeling of the French toast. The braised short rib was extremely tender, I had some expectations for it since it is one of the highest priced options on the menu, and they knocked it out of the park. The hash browns and sauce on the bottom added that little extra kick you needed to complete a fork-full. The salad, I would have preferred just a little less dressing, but not close to even complaining about, it tasted great. I took it upon myself to walk through the back and get to the other side where the cafe is and grab some pastries, the pumpkin cheesecake and a matcha, a wonderful way to end the experience here. Ahh Mediterranean. I've always had a love for this type of cuisine because of their take on fresh salads and grilled meats. Zov's was great not just for the food but for the ambiance + service. I was immediately impressed with the large outdoor patio seating that provided lots of natural light. Because of our large party, they opted to give us a private room inside and it was perfect for all 16 of us. Service was efficient and our food came out quickly. Here's the breakdown: **Lemon Ricotta Pancakes: We absolutely loved these. The pancakes themselves were fluffy and moist. Paired with the lemon whipped cream sauce + light sprinkling of crumbled pistachios, these were a winner. **Biscuits and Gravy: Loved their take on a classic. My boyfriend is forever a fan of comfort food and he said that the biscuit was soft on the inside with a slight toast on the outside. Coming from a guy that always asks for an extra side of gravy, this dish was overflowing with it. No need for more. **Dirty fries: As if french fries weren't indulgent already, these guys were next level. With the added Mushroom sauce, sprinkling of parmesan cheese, Calamari sauce and over easy egg carefully placed on top, this is a must try. **Kebab Two ways: You have the option to pick 2 different skewer meats and we chose both the angus beef tenderloin Marinated + marinated chicken breast. While both were good, it was the angus beef tenderloin that completely surpassed our expectations. The beef was super tender and super juicy. Along with the Jasmine rice pilaf, tomato- cucumber salad + yogurt mint sauce, this dish is easily shared between 2 people. Side note: The Lemon Ricotta pancakes, Biscuits + Gravy, and Dirty fries are not currently on the website menu as they are all new items and they are working on updating it. Zov's consistently does it right! Went after work to unwind and catchup with a colleague. Zov's not disappoint! Friendly attention by our server Steve was only out done by the bar tender with a generous pour. My table guest had a pomegranate martini on Steve's recommendation and was definitely good - as she ordered a second. Not knowing what we wanted for dinner, we started (and ended) with the Mezze platter. Wowza! The platter is suitable for a table of 4-6 to split...so we had plenty for both appetizer and dinner. We didn't finish the plate either, tho we ordered extra pita. Everything was very tasty but pay particular attention to the lebni and muhammara o. The platter-- incredible!! Zov's is known for their delectable bakery treats but we were stuffed. You might want to save room for a sweet treat at the end. What a great dining experience. Will I be back?? YUP! read more

It is always a "can't miss" spot for whatever occasion. Tonight we came here for a gf catch-up and Zov's did not disappoint! The calamari is hands-down the MVP--if you know, you know .... Not the typical crispy kind you expect. Nope this is a saucy surprise that you never knew you needed. It is my go too. Swimming in white wine sauce and paired with bread. Ufff. It is magic on a plate. I had the elderflower gin (light + dangerous) while my gf rocked an espresso martini (aka caffeine, booze & dessert in one). This was the second time I have been Zov's and I will CONTINUE to come back as often as I can. We originally came on January 16th when Zov's participated in donating some proceeds from their sales that day to the LA Wildfires and wanted to support. We knew we had to come back, and we sure did! We wanted to come back to celebrate my co-workers engagement to her fiancé and what a perfect place! Not photographed was the shared appetizer of the simple yet creamy hummus with pita, carrots, and cucumbers. A crowd favorite amongst the 5 of us and we ate it all up! I ordered the Cucumber Cooler mocktail which is always so refreshing and cooling to pair with this type of food. This time, I ordered the Roasted Vegetable Bowl and added Salmon and avocado. I do wish the veggies were a little more "roasted" or "charred", but when I tell you our food came out PIPING hot, that was amazing! The roasted vegetables were perfectly seasoned, al dente, and there was rice underneath that bowl too! Super filling, and still getting that salmon protein. I did NOT eat the entire bowl and sadly forgot my leftover box at the table when we left. But we ended the lunch by sharing the Warm Butter Cake and the Crème Brûlée. Splitting these 2 desserts between us 5 was just the perfect amount to get a few warm bites of moist cake with that fresh vanilla bean ice cream and berry compote. The crunch on the Crème brûlée is always a favorite. If you are craving quick and attentive service with some delicious, fresh, hot food, I highly encourage everyone to come to Zov's in Tustin! My husband and a colleague each ordered the ahi tuna sandwich for lunch and both enjoyed the fresh ingredients and flavor profile. There were ample portions and enough to bring home half for later. As always, great service and a lovely outdoor cafe. I was highly disappointed with the lemon bar he brought home for me. The crust was crispy, but extremely thin. This is for the bakery , I was told they had the best cookies. I did get a chocolate chip cookie when it was literally straight out of the oven and it was good ( wouldn't say the best) but the snicker doodle and the m&m cookie was extremely dry, stale and flavorless. I told one bite and threw it away. I asked how long they keep the cookies for and they claim 3 days. Waste of money. read more

I hadn't considered coming to Zov's mainly because of how unassuming the place looks. Feels very old? Very old school? Anyways, I was surprised at how good the food is here. The portions are on the larger side so there's much to appreciate about full you'll get here. I love that the manager cares about his restaurant so you'll often find him introducing himself to customers. He's got a laundry list of experience which helps you recognize why Zov's runs so smoothly even with all the cougars on the hunt! Went on a Sunday right after church, they have a full brunch lunch menu that was absolutely yummy . We got the Greek salad with grilled chicken breast and the mixed kebab plate and the Mediterranean omelette not pictured. The salad was really good with a great lemon dressing and tasty seasoned chicken next time, I'm gonna try a chicken kebab instead, the kebab plate one chicken, one beef, was amazing so much flavor, tender, juicy, hot meat comes with rice and salad tzatziki and pita bread. The Mediterranean omelette had feta, spinach veggies, potatoes, toast and was really tasty. I'm so excited and can't wait for the Zov's in San Clemente to open. read more

This place is huge! Well, when you consider the bistro at the other end when you walk by the bathrooms. Very nice selection of desserts and definitely seems to draw a good crowd for coffee and snacks. Parking is shared with other restaurants so might be tight. But, we found one directly across the parking lot from the door so...no issue that day. You can either order at the display case or take a seat and be served. We were lazy that day so decided on a seat. Our server was efficient but not friendly. We were only ordering desserts and coffee and maybe that set her off. Who knows? We ordered four desserts and three coffees...$50 before tip. One of the desserts was not the one ordered. I didn't say anything when delivered as I figured, why not? Let's see how this one is. After paying the bill, I mentioned it to her and she seemed confused. She just said "Huh?" and walked away. Never to return. I wasn't expecting a discount as I asked after paying but it would have been nice to hear something other than huh... But, will we return? Yes! Hopefully with a different server or possible over to the bistro side to grab lunch there before dessert. Of the four desserts we ordered - The Chocolate Box, pretty good. The lemon bar, very good. The Red Velvet, also very good. The "not rice crispy that I ordered", very hard and just okay (this one has chocolate and peanut butter, the "normal" one just has chocolate). Just had a Girls lunch with my sisters on Monday. It was hard to decide what to order because the food passing by to other tables looked delicious. They have remodeled since I was there last. Our server, Katia, gave us excellent service and never made us feel rushed. She recommended some of her favorites and we all had the kabobs. I had the filet kabobs and my sisters both had the Grilled shrimp Kabobs. I shared mine but they didn't share because theirs was just that good. Because we were there for their birthdays Katia brought out a beautiful and delicious Panna Cetta. One sister had their Lavender infused drink as well. I had a sip and it was very tasty. Stopped by here with a few coworkers for dinner a few weeks ago. We ordered a Mezze a la carte which was tasty. I loved the hummus the most. I got the Short Rib Pappardelle pasta as my main dish and it was so good, the braised beef was tender and juicy. The sauce is tasty mixed with the pasta. It was a little heavy though. It would be great to share it with someone and order something a little lighter. I also got the creme brulee and it was tasty. Staff was friendly but somehow we felt a little rushed. Cute little bistro with a bakery inside. My gf and I had dinner next door and were eyeing this establishment right when we sat down. We both wanted to see their desserts so we skipped ordering desserts at the place we were at. As you walk inside it leads you right to the bakery section where all the goodies are. To the right, there is the restaurant sit down section. We didn't look at their menu for that part but it looks great, I'm assuming. We were glued to all the delicious delights they have there. I ordered the lemon tart, crème brûlée bomb, chocolate chip cookies, and tiramisu. Everything that I ordered was perfectly tasty and not too sweet. The chocolate chip cookies tasted really good even after the next day at home. They carry some wonderful treats. I will be coming back. read more

Their Greek Salad was so good I came back twice in one week! Zov's is such a fun and chic restaurant, they have more casual seating near the back of the restaurant near their bakery as well as a full service sit down restaurant in the front. I've dined in both, and the quality of service and food is spectacular in either. I can't say enough about their Greek salad, the dressing is just so so fresh. Their bakery is also top notch, ranging from cakes, to small treats and cookies, everything we've tried here has been delicious. The second time I stopped in the restaurant was hosting a shower, bridal or baby, but it was decorated so elegantly, I can see how this might be a great spot to host an event. Will be back soon! Another great brunch at Zovs! The Banana Foster's French Toast is just so decadent, but worth every bite. It's even better with an extra serving of caramel sauce on the side! A special shout out to our server, Andres, who attended to our table. He was polite, attentive, helpful, and charming. I highly recommend this! Needless to say, we were completely full after sharing the platter. We even took some home. We ordered steak & chicken kebab to go. Service was great & friendly. We reheated the beef and chicken kebab meal later that evening for dinner and it was fantastic. I had ordered the beef kebab medium rare, and it was cooked to perfection. I grew up coming to Zov's in Tustin and have always thought it is good! It had been ages since I'd been and a few friends and I decided to head over yesterday for lunch. We all got the turkey club and fries, and we were not disappointed. The sandwich is absolutely delicious and the bread is so soft! There was a perfect ratio of turkey, avocado, mayo, etc. and the fries were seasoned to perfection. The Arnold Palmer was also perfectly sweetened! Our waitress was very sweet and we loved sitting on the patio. The only downside to this spot is that it is pretty pricey for a sandwich, but you are getting great food.
